BUDGET READY FOR REVIEW – The 2011 proposed church budget is now available. It is currently posted on the
bulletin board outside of the church office. Please study it closely; all comments and suggestions are welcome! The
budget will be approved at the voters meeting on December 12.
2011 OFFICER/BOARD NOMINATIONS NEEDED – Please notify President Mike Charles to nominate someone for
one of the following positions: President-Elect; Treasurer; Evangelism Board Chair; Stewardship Board Chair; Trustees
Board Chair. The President Elect serves 3 years (Elect, Current and Emeritus); all other positions are 2 year terms.

VOTER’S MEETING – December 12 at 10am: Come to elect Council positions and church officers. We all need to be
reminded that this is our congregation and His church. We are called to be good stewards of it, and part of that is our
joyful participation in its governance. We hope to see everyone at this brief but vital voter‟s meeting.
HIS LOVE – OUR RESPONSE – As mentioned last month, our theme for 2011 is “His Love–Our Response”. If you
would like to lend a hand to assist with events and accessories [Banners and such] to this theme, please tell Pastor Dave.
NURSERY AND SUNDAY SCHOOL ARE OPEN – Sunday School registration forms are in the office hallway; please
complete and send it to class with your child (children age 4 to 6th
grade are dismissed to class after the children‟s sermon
at the 9:15 service). The nursery in the basement is open 9am to 10:30am for those toddling thru age 3; ask an usher if you
need assistance. Check out our new pager system which will quietly alert you of any issues while you are in church.
THERE WILL BE NO SUNDAY SCHOOL AND THE NURSERY WILL NOT BE OPEN ON NOVEMBER 28.
SPECIAL GUESTS ON TUESDAY – Dave and Radka Fiala, missionaries to the Slovak Republic, are in the states and
will be with us on Tuesday at both the 7am and 9am Bible Studies. Please come join us.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOE BOX DEADLINE – Make sure that you bring your filled shoe boxes and
$7 per box cost for shipping by TODAY, NO LATER THAN THE END OF THE 10:45AM SERVICE. If your box does
not make that deadline, you can drop them off at Crossroads Community Church (520 S. Oakland Ave, Green Bay)
between noon and 4pm today only. After that, contact Michelle in the office for options.
PLANTS FOR SHUT-INS – We currently serve 14 area residents who are shut-ins; many of them are members of Our
Saviour who can no longer get to church on their own. After the 9:15am service today, poinsettia plants will be available
for folks to take and deliver to them. Each plant contains a label with the name, address and phone number of a shut in.
Call to let them know you are coming and, if you can, plan to stay for a few minutes to visit; they‟ll really appreciate it
and you will feel all warm inside when you go back out into the cold.
CHRISTMAS WREATH SALE – Our Saviour Cub Scout Pack 4070 will be taking orders for Christmas wreaths after
church today. The cost of each wreath is $10; payment must accompany all orders. Wreaths will be delivered Dec 5.

Sunday, December 12 at 10:45am following the Voters Meeting.

amount needed is $6,878.19 for the MONTH of October).
CHRISTMAS EVE HAS FOUR SERVICES! – We are pleased to announce an additional Praise Service at 1:30pm on

will hold three services as usual at 7:45, 9:15 and 10:45am. There will be no Sunday School or Nursery on this day.
VOLUNTEERS APPRECIATED – Did you notice how busy it was at Our Saviour last weekend? The monthly Fish
Fry was held on Friday and served around 200 meals. On Sunday, it was the Pancake and Porkie breakfast and the
Confirmation of 25 of our young people. Could we do all of this without volunteers? The answer is „no!‟ Find one that
you have seen working and say thanks; or, better yet, volunteer to work an upcoming event…Fish Fry, Cookie Sale,
Coffee Bar, etc., and experience the joy and satisfaction of serving others.

ADVENT SERMON SERIES – "Jesus - There Is More Than Meets The Eye": Join us for our Advent worship services
[Thursday December 2nd and 9th]. We will learn about the "Two Natures of Christ", as He is both the "Son of God" and
the "Son of Man". Jesus is God in human flesh. He is not half God and half man. He is fully Divine and fully man. In
other words, Jesus has two distinct natures: Divine and human. December 2nd - Jesus as The Son of God; December 9th,
Jesus, the Son of Man. Worship times are 12:15pm and 7pm Thursdays. Oh, and don't forget, the Live Nativity (evening
of December 16) is one of our Advent services, too!
IT’S ALMOST COOKIE TIME! – We are getting ready for our Annual Cookie Sale to be held on Sunday, December
12 from 7am-12:00pm (or until they‟re all gone). Can you bake 2-4 dozen (or more) of your favorite cookies, candy or
holiday treats and bring them to church on Saturday, December 11 before noon? We need YOU to make this sale a big
success. If you have any questions, please contact Connie Haase at 469-0264.
YOUR GIVING RECORDS – Many OSLC members and regular visitors use offering envelopes or Simply Giving and
receive a record of the dollars given each year. Giving statements are available for pick up in January; this record can be
used for tax purposes. If you don‟t want your giving recorded (meaning no envelopes) or you want to change anything in
your Simply Giving for 2011, notify Michelle in the office ASAP. Offering envelopes will be ready for pick up at the
Thanksgiving services. Please use your 2010 envelopes this year and use the new envelopes on or after January 2, 2011.
