a.) BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT
Over 6 million of street children are found in the Philippines and at about 100,000
lives amongst the streets of Baguio. An urban city known as the country’s summer capital,
innovating each year leaving little innocents, wondering and striving to survive each day
of their lives. Most are of 5-18 years old, such kids are referred as to the dregs of the
society; thus they are commonly abused and often are victims of different awful activities
in our society that at their young age must not experience but because they are exposed
to a surrounding that is filled with all kinds of vices they are left unguarded added that
they have no proper guidance of a parent nor a family. So instead of giving their needs of
them going to school they spent their time/days working, selling plastic bags , offering to
carry your things in exchange of money to buy foods for themselves for the day and then
after their struggle still continues.
For these reasons the group came up with a project which is a feeding program,
furthermore there will be an educational activities and giving of clothes. To lessen the
member of street children in Baguio guiding them back to the right track. Furthermore
make the society aware of the dreadful situation of the street children. Hence for us to
achieve this project/desired goal we need the cooperation of the society or the
community.

b.) PROJECT DESCRIPTION/PROJECT DEFINITION
This project/program is primarily focused with the street chidren ages 3-15 years
old because of the increase of population that almost contributed 35% of children in the
Philippines where most of them are boys. Their pitiful situation worsens each year. They
were being victimized by the harsh environment, by the abusive people, child trafficking,
sexual harassment and child labor. Street children were also deprived of being in school,
they have no shelter to stay in and they are lack of love and care. That instead of playing
and learning they try harder to survive every second, every minute, every hour of the day.
And at their young age they learned to work just to survive.
From October 1, 2015-December 15, 2015 will be are allotted time for the
preparation which includes the fund-raising, collecting of donations and seeking for
volunteers to help us with the project/program. And on December 24, 2015 is the decided
date to implement our project/program.

c.) PROJECT OBJECTIVE/S
The objectives of the project are the following:
To feed the street children
To give them Christmas gifts such as footwear and clothes
To conduct parlorgamesfor the street children forthem to behappy and for them
to experience joy during the Christmas eve.
We aim to achieve this project by/within December 24, 2015
