2. The genres I have chosen are
gangster, action, and hooliganism because
they all link in with the trailer I am planning
to create. As well as generic conventions, I
will also be looking at the iconography in the
different genres
3. Dan wants get away from the violence and
arguments at home between his parents.
He moves to live with his auntie and uncle on
the outskirts of Sunderland. On his first day at
school he meets Sharky (a dedicated Sunderland
fan) after Sharky saves Dan from getting beaten
up by Newcastle fans on the way home from
school, the two become very close.
4. Dan then gets introduced to the firm, he gets
close to them and ends up in several fights.
His uncle and girlfriend then find out about
his involvement in the gang and both give
Dan an ultimatum of sending him back home
he doesn’t leave the gang however there is
big plans for the upcoming derby day and
there may not be a way out for Dan .....
5. Ithink the target audience for my trailer
would be predominantly males aged between
16-30, with an interest in football. I will bare
this in mind when creating my trailer and
ensure I put enough conventions of the genre
of football holliganism.
6. I plan to use fast cuts and a dramatic sound
track to help set the genre and themes of
the film and to draw in audiences.
Will lose voice over through-out of Dan
telling his own story, this is typical of this
genre of film and is seen in the
trailers, football factory.
I will also use review title cards which will
draw people to watch the film.
Will be filmed using tripods as oppose to
shaky cam style.
