Why Blogging ?
PROJECT FAST FACTS
When the project started
• 25 teachers
• 15 districts
• No previous experience
with blogging
• Very limited or no
experience with Web 2.0
tools
By the end of the project
• 150 participants at the final
event in Chisinau
• Over 30 blogs were created
• Several teachers moved to
online instruction only
• American mentors visited
over 10 regions to meet
students face to face
• More than 20 online

Course description
• Equip with the necessary skills
to use online tools to enhance
English language teaching
experience,
• engage students in online
projects and raise up their
interest in studying English
using online tools,
• learn how to enhance class or
school blog using other online
tools: Voki, Animoto, Pow
Toon, Google Polls, free online
dictionaries, DVolver, Listy
Course objectives
• create a class or school blog
• post and edited entries
• comment on other blogs
• try team blogging (inviting
members)
• explore options for comment
management
• discuss the potential of
blogging as a teaching tool in
the English lesson and as a
tool for professional
