To have a Professional Goal, allows you to manage your efforts and
make better professional choices.
Having goal is also a motivation factor, it gives us a reason to work.

DO I NEED PROFESSIONAL GOAL TO DO A GOOD JOB?
You can work in a company without having a professional goal, but
your work only benefit the company, not you.
Knowing your goal, allows you to work for the good of the company and for your
own good.
HOW TO SET PROFESSIONAL GOAL?
There are two ways to set professional goal :

Your goal is to be better in some of tasks.

Your goal is to reach a certain position.

The only way to reach a destination is to know where you want to go.
Employer like to recruit people of have a direction in their professional life, who want to
go somewhere/become somebody.
IS IT RISKY TO SET PROFESSIONAL GOAL?
It can be, if you are over ambitious in the goal you set,
and not able to do a correct S.W.I.M
To not succeed to achieve a goal can be demotivating, but if it happens, always ask
yourself :
ā€œDid I set a goal to high?ā€
ā€œDid I make the correct professional choices to reach the goalā€
ā€œAm I honest in my S.W.I.M test?ā€
ā€œCan I set a new goal, that I can succeed to achieve?ā€

To manage Professional and Personal life, it is important to know : Our Strength, our Weakness, our space for Improvement, our Measurement of success (S.W.I.M) What is a Strength? What is a Weakness? A strength is a capabilities your can perform better than other people, without major efforts. A weakness is a capabilities naturally you cannot do well, and you believe you cannot improve. WHAT I AM NATURALLY GOOD AT WHAT I WILL ā€œNEVERā€ BE GOOD AT
  • 5. What is a Area of Improvement? What is a Measurement of Success? An area of improvement is a capabilities you cannot perform better than average, but you believe you can improve.   • 10. 2) SETTING PROFESSIONAL GOAL IS IT IMPORTANT TO SET PROFESSIONAL GOAL? To have a Professional Goal, allows you to manage your efforts and make better professional choices. Having goal is also a motivation factor, it gives us a reason to work. DO I NEED PROFESSIONAL GOAL TO DO A GOOD JOB? You can work in a company without having a professional goal, but your work only benefit the company, not you. Knowing your goal, allows you to work for the good of the company and for your own good.
  • 11. HOW TO SET PROFESSIONAL GOAL? There are two ways to set professional goal : BY TASK: BY POSITION: Your goal is to be better in some of tasks. Your goal is to reach a certain position. (Example: Creating exam paper) (Example: I want to become a Programme Director SHORT TERM GOAL LONG TERM GOAL DO I NEED SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM GOAL? It is easier to achieve long term goal if you set short term goal. The short term goal are steps you must do to reach your long term goal.

SHORT TERM GOAL LONG TERM GOAL -Improve my ability to ā€¦. -Increase the speed of my ā€¦ā€¦. -In x months/years, I want to be a outlet manager. HOW TO INCREASE YOUR CHANCE TO MEET YOUR GOAL ? S.W.I.M Strength:ā€¦ā€¦. Weakness:ā€¦ā€¦. Improvement:ā€¦ Measure:ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.. SHORT TERM Improve my ā€¦.. Increase the speedā€¦.. SUPPORT NEEDED -Go for training -Work on a project with Mrā€¦ā€¦. LONG TERM - In x months/years, I want to be
  • 13. IS SETTING PROFESSIONAL GOAL EASY? No, many people need help to set long goal, short term goal, or to do a good S.W.I.M test. Experienced manager use the help of Life/Professional coach to help them. Example : Dato Loy IS SETTING PROFESSIONAL GOAL REALLY HELPING ME? The only way to reach a destination is to know where you want to go. Employer like to recruit people of have a direction in their professional life, who want to go somewhere/become somebody.

It can be, if you are over ambitious in the goal you set, and not able to do a correct S.W.I.M To not succeed to achieve a goal can be demotivating, but if it happens, always ask yourself : ā€œDid I set a goal to high?ā€ ā€œDid I make the correct professional choices to reach the goalā€ ā€œAm I honest in my S.W.I.M test?ā€ ā€œCan I set a new goal, that I can succeed to achieve?ā€ ā€œOur Goals can only be reached through set of plans and steps we must deeply believe in, and never give up on.
