This document describes the hydrogen superhighway, a proposed high-speed maglev railway system powered by hydrogen and solar energy. It works on elevated rails and can reach speeds over 250 mph. Solar panels generate electricity, which is used to produce hydrogen from water through electrolysis. The hydrogen then powers fuel cells to run the trains through magnetic levitation. It aims to provide fast, clean public transportation while generating excess hydrogen as a byproduct. However, it would also be very costly to construct and face engineering challenges.

10. Conversion of Solar energy
to Electrical energy
When sun light hits the
semi conductor then the
electrons in n-type
semiconductor are
accelerated.
These electrons travel from
n-type to p-type which
results in production of

11. The above produced electricity is used in
electrolysis of water.
Electrolysis of water means decomposition
of water into Oxygen and Hydrogen due to
an electric current being passed through the
water.
12. Hydrogen Fuel cell
This fuel cell combines Hydrogen and
Oxygen to produce electricity and water.
In this H2 molecule splits into proton and
electron.
Protons diffuses through the cation semi-
permeable membrane(PEM) and neutralise
with the oxygen which result in the form of
WATER.
16. MAGNETIC LEVITATION
“MAGNETIC LEVITATION, maglev, or magnetic
suspension is a method by which an object is
suspended with no support other than the MAGNETIC
fields”.
MAG LEV is a transport
method that uses magnetic levitation to move vehicles
without touching the ground.

•Breaking effect is done by reducing power to
the Electro magnets.
•In this process friction is produced which
helps rail to stop.
