2. Optimum Releasing
 From researching institutions on the IMBD website, I
found that Optimum Releasing would be the most likely
distributor of my product.

3. Genre
 The majority of the films distributed by Optimum Releasing
are under the genre of horror. More specifically, the
horror films distributed fall under the category of the
supernatural which is the same genre of my film.

horror and supernatural films.

5. Actors
 The majority of the horror films distributed by Optimum
Releasing feature a young female in the lead role which is
what I have also chosen for my film. ‘The Awakening’,
‘The Last Exorcism’ and ‘The Silent House’ to name a
few are all examples of this.

6. Profit
 I also chose Optimum Releasing as the distributor of my
film because the horror films it has already distributed
have been highly successful at the box office. ‘Orphan’
and ‘The Last Exorcism’ which are horror films both
distributed by Optimum Releasing grossed over $40,000,000
worldwide.

7. Conclusion
 Due to all these factors I believe Optimum Releasing would
be the most appropriate distributor of my film as it
displays similarities in genre, actors and makes successful
films using these.
