a) DM : normally, after we eat the food is broken down into sugar which is release into our
blood. It will act as fuel for the cells.
b) What happen: in DM,sugar cannot get into the cells as the insulin is not working
properly
c) Cause: combination of genetic and environmental factors- inadequate insulin
production and increased insulin resistance
d) Problem /complications : can damage the blood vessels
