this subject is to
“Develop in each student
the knowledge and understanding,
skills and values and attitudes
needed to lead healthy, active and
fulfilling lives”
3. • This thereby justifies the importance of the
subject to teach habits students will use now
and hopefully for the rest of their lives.

children and quadrupled in adolescents in the
past 30 years.
• In 2012, more than one third of children and
adolescents were overweight or obese
• Children and adolescents who are obese are
likely to be obese as adults
5. We need help both from the parents and
students to work together in making sure we
