supporting the development of the student as a whole person.
• PDHPE does not only focus on the physical wellbeing but also on the
emotional, spiritual, social and mental wellbeing that are essential in the
child’s development. These dimensions help cover a holistic approach in

• Therefore PDHPE should have the same importance as mathematics and
English if not more since it deals with the student personal and social level.
