2. What is a phrase?
A phrase is a group of words that gives some
meaning.
What is a noun phrase?
A group of words that does the function of a noun is
called a noun phrase.

3. A noun phrase either takes the position of the
subject of a sentence or object of a sentence or
may followed by a participle.
1. She saw a bald middle-aged man walking in
through the gate.
In the underlined phrase all the words describe the
man who was walking through the gate.

4. Identify a few more noun phrases from the lesson.
