1. Warhammer 40k is a table top War miniatures strategy game. Players purchase books called codex's and miniatures to form armies to battle each other on a battleground. The story is set in the grim dark future of the 41st millennia.
2. When picking an army its best to llok at each codex then start with buying the codex of the army you choose. The codex is a book that has story info on the army its for, and detailed info and stats for the units that will comprise your army. Army Codex

7. When building an army, players use their codex to design a unique battle force. Once you have a list of units you then go about buying said units from Hobby shops. When you have your units the player then goes about gluing the pieces of the miniatures together to make a somewhat unique unit. Once glued the player then paints the miniatures. 8. When your armies are ready to play you and a friend (who has an army also) setup you battleground. Next you roll a D6 (1 six side die) to see who deploys first. During deployment place a curtain in the middle so neither can see where the other deployed ( mainly so who ever deploys second cant see where the first deployed and deploy based on that). Deployment
9. Once your deployed who ever went first starts his first turn. There are three phases in a turn. Movement – During this phase the player uses a tape measure to move their units, most move only 6 inches. Shooting – In this phase you determine what units can shoot at any of the opponents units. Hitting and Damage are determined by rolling many D6. Assault – If any units are within 6 inches of an enemy unit and capable of assaulting then you move that unit closer to the other unit and enter close combat. Playing
