To generate an idea about the importance of planning through brain storming , general discussion and group discussion etc
; and students develop a short note based on it .

Phase 1 – INTRODUCTORY PHASE
Activity -1 (Brain storming, General Discussion)
After the usual classroom practices the teacher begins the class by providing some questions to check the
previous knowledge of students.
 What do you mean by planning?
 Define planning
Based on the above discussion teacher explained planning is the very important function of management. With out
proper planning an organisation never achieve success in business.
PHASE II: DEVELOPMENTAL PHASE
Activity -1 ( Group Discussion)
Teacher divide the all class in to six groups by providing situational task in the form of activity sheets and
scaffold each group to complete the task in the stipulated time.

Biju is a press owner . He decides to maximise the profit of the firm. He appoint an eligible manager of the firm,
The manager conduct a staff meeting of all staffs worked under different departments, and give them proper direction for
profit maximisation. He fixed a target for each department.

Situation
Balan is an owner of a garden . The garden is situated near river. In rainy season his business damaged by flood.
He planned to increase business. He imported various species of plants. He build strong boundaries for the garden. Now
the water never make any burden in garden . Later on a rainy season due to a flood the river water rises, even though his
garden never cause any damage.

Situation
Divine public school situated in Puthoor. Mr. Alexander as principal of that school. He conduct a staff meeting
for increasing 10 th result. Then the meeting they decided to fix a standard mark for each students. They conducted
model exam. Then the principal compared the students marks. He take necessary steps to give special tution to those who
need it.

Firstly she arrange all products in different department and she appoint a sales manager. Then select uniform for sales
girls. Last she change her textiles name achy boutique. Then her business increases and earned huge profits.

Situation
Vanamala company is a leading soap company . They decided to increase production. For this they decided to
import better raw materials. They receive quotations from various suppliers of raw materials. They select the best
suppliers with competitive price.

Situation
Holy trinity public school , situated in Kollam. The school conducted a model exam for 12 th students . They
decided to fix a standard mark for each students. The mark was fixed at 60.If students get bellow 60. The teachers try to
identify the problem of the student and help the student for improvement.
