1. Directing is an important function of management which involves communicating and
providing leadership to the subordinate and motivating them to contribute to the best
of their capability for the achievement of organizational objectives. It is concerned with
influencing the behavior of human resources for the accomplishment of organizational
objectives. Directing concept the total manner in which a manager influences the
actions of his subordinates. It is the final action of the manager in getting others to act
after all preparations have been completed. It starts with issuing orders and
instructions to subordinate and ends with getting things stone by satisfaction of various
needs of subordinates.
