What is Organizational Behavior
?
 Organization is a social system that is a combination of
humanity and technology.
 Ob is a study and application of knowledge of how people
act within organization.
 It is a human tool for human benefit.

 A complex set of force effect the nature of
organization today.
 It can be classified in four areas.
1.People
2.Structure
3.Technology
4.Environment

 When people join organization to accomplish goals
/objectives,some kind of structure is required .They
use machinery gadgets and technology to achieve
the organizational goals .At the same time they are
influenced by external environment.

 Organizations are defined as social arrangements
,constructed by people who can change it.
(Buchanan and Huczynski(1997))
 Organizations are a system of cooperative activities-
and their coordination requires something intangible
and personal that is largely a matter of personal
relationship. (Barnard)
 Ob is connected with “the study of the structure
,functioning and performance of organization and
behavior of groups and individuals within them ”.
