Constitution a radical departure from the
Articles of Confederation?
The Articles of Confederation were a good
start to an American government but it was
not until the Constitution that the United
States truly innovated the government, the
people’s way of life, and how other countries
viewed America as a whole.
3. Government
The Constitution appoints an executive
power, the President
The Federal Government alone has the right
to print money
Bicameral Congress – The House of
Representatives and the Senate
4. The American Way of Life
The Constitution’s Bill of Rights ensured that
all Americans had their freedoms, and did not
vary state to state unlike in the AoC
The Constitution gave the Central
Government the right to tax the people
5. World’s View
The Constitution gave the Federal
Government the right to raise an army
The Constitution set up, officially, a
government that was unlike no other in the
old world
