2. Animals and plants need gases to live.
1. Plants need carbon-dioxide. They get it from air and water.
Plants make oxygen as waste.
2. Animals need oxygen. They get it from air o water. Animals
make carbon-dioxide as waste.
3. 1.The troposphere is where weather occurs. You breathe the
air in the troposphere.
2.Many airplanes fly in the stratosphere because it is very
stable. Also, the ozone layer is there.
3.Many rocks fragment from space burn up in the
mesosphere.
4.The thermosphere is very thin. It’s where the space shuttle
orbits. It’s got the ionosphere it’s where Auroras happen.
5.The upper limit of our atmosphere is the exosphere. Most
satellites orbit here.
4. 1.Air temperature and pressure.
2.The amount and type of precipitation.
3.The strenght and direction of wind.
4.The types of clouds.
5. This layer absorbs high-energy UV rays from the Sun,
protecting.
AURORAS
The aurora is formed when particles from the Sun
enter the Earth’s atmosphere
6. The greenhouse effect is the trapping of heat
around Earth.
A tiny number of gases in the atmosphere can
trap heat around the Earth. This gases keep the
Earth warm.
The traced gases regulate the climate. Water
vapour- it’s the most common. It’s the 60% of the
natural greenhouse effect.
7. Not all the heat we feel on Earth comes from the
Sun. Most of this heat comes from Earth itself, which
is trapped and sent back down by greenhouse
gases.
As Earth warms up, it gives heat as low-energy
infrared rays.
The greenhouse gases trap most of infrared rays.
8. 1.Why is our planet ill? Because we pollate the air
we fill the land with waste and lethal fuel emission
for our vehicles.
The three r’s are:
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
9. Switching off the lights when leaving a room.
Turning off the TV, stereo, video, DVD player when
you’ve finished using instead of leaving standby
mode.
Turning down your central heating thermostat by
as little as one degree.
10. All over the world, the cars, planes… polluted and
release a lot of carbon dioxide. Instead, there are
cars with hydrogen-powered.
11. The sun’s energy is turned into power by the solar
panels.
Natural heat from beneath Eart’s surface is the
geothermal energy.
Wind farms and wave power use the sea or air to
move the huge turbines
Hydroelectric power stations, flowing water from a
dam, generate power.
