3. The mouth and nose are mainly responsible for the air passage in the
human body . The air passageway consist of the following parts
1.nasal cavity(it enclosed in the nose)these nasal cavity opens by a
opening called nostrils. In these nostrils there are hair and a very sticky
material called mucous.
The mucous are mainly responsible for the filtration of the air and it also
warm the air that’s how all the air filter and clean air goes inside our
body.
4. After the nostrils the next come the pharynx by means of two small
openings called internal nostril . pharynx is the way through which the
food and the air passes .
After the pharynx the next is larynx . The air which comes from nostril to
pharynx it than goes to larynx . The larynx has glottis which is a narrow
opening . It is mainly responsible for the covering of the larynx when
the food is going from the pharynx it does not allow in the larynx
Between the pharynx and the trachea the larynx is present the larynx
has thread like structure called vocal cords larynx also know as voice
box.
6. When the air pass through the larynx the vocal cords produced
vibration and that how sound is produced .
Larynx is than continues to the trachea which is also know as windpipe .
The windpipe or trachea is about 12 cm long it is placed in the front of
the esophagus.
Trachea tube has c-shape cartilagenous which give it flexibility to it .
The trachea also has hair and mucous which moves upwards. If any dust
particle comes in this pipe the hair mucous attached with it and than it
removed from the pipe.
7. Than the trachea is divided in to two smaller pipes right and left
bronchus . Then these bronchus are connect to the lungs . The lungs
are the spongy material . The left has only two lobes and the right has
three lobes.
The right lungs is bigger than the left lungs . After entering of the
bronchi in lungs they are continue dividing in lungs and becomes
smaller fine tube called bronchioles.
They becomes narrower these fine tube has pouches at the end of
them these pouches are called alveoli.
9. These alveoli are completely cover by blood capillary which are also
mainly responsible for the exchange of the gases in the lungs .
The deoxygenated blood are carried by the pulmonary artery this
deoxygenated blood are enter in braches and then in the arterioles and
then it geos in to the capillaries which are covering the alveoli then
these are join together and form a pulmonary vein .
This vein carried the oxygenated blood to the heart.
