story chosen should be suitable for the
age of the students.
 The story chosen for the young learners
should not be too long because it will affect
the time for the storytelling.
 The pupils will be bored and lost interest.
 Teacher

allocates few minutes for the
preparation before the storytelling session
starts.
 Preparation of the props, pupils' seating
arrangement and materials.
 The

length of the story must be appropriate
with the allocated time.
 The story must be told and finished within
the time allocated time.
 Teacher

sets time for each question that will
be asked while telling the story.
 e.g: Teacher only uses 2 minutes for asking a
question and obtaining the answers from
pupils during the storytelling.
 Give

time for pupils to response on the story
told by the teacher.
 Allow them to share their opinion about the
story.
 Teacher

uses few minutes to pack all the
props and materials.

Craft of storytelling

  • 3.  The story chosen should be suitable for the age of the students.  The story chosen for the young learners should not be too long because it will affect the time for the storytelling.  The pupils will be bored and lost interest.
  • 4.  Teacher allocates few minutes for the preparation before the storytelling session starts.  Preparation of the props, pupils' seating arrangement and materials.

  • 6.  The length of the story must be appropriate with the allocated time.  The story must be told and finished within the time allocated time.
  • 7.  Teacher sets time for each question that will be asked while telling the story.  e.g: Teacher only uses 2 minutes for asking a question and obtaining the answers from pupils during the storytelling.
  • 8.
  • 9.  Give time for pupils to response on the story told by the teacher.  Allow them to share their opinion about the story.
  • 10.  Teacher uses few minutes to pack all the props and materials.
