ROUTINE
Greet students affectively and comment something on the weather.
Transition comment: Great! Last lesson we read a text about a father and a daughter who travelled to Oxford,
do you remember? (The teacher will show them a picture to help the remember)
WARM- UP
Well in this unit we are going to read a text about Ian and Amy who travelled for love (the teacher will show
them a picture of the text while saying this)
As we can see there are different reasons for travelling and also we can travel with a friend, with a boyfriend
or with our family and families are all different. For example, I live with my husband, my daughter and two
sons (the teacher will show a photo of her family while saying this)
Transition comment: Now look what I have here…
PRESENTATION
As you know and as you can see in this picture there are many different kinds of families, traditional ones, with
two fathers, with two mothers, we know those kids who live with their grandparents or with an uncle, there
are couples without kids, those who have animals, and there are plenty of them.
Transition comment: Now, look here that says draw yours here (The teacher will point at the place)
PRACTICE
I would like you to draw your family or to stick a photo in the blank place and also I would like you totell to the
rest of the class how your familyis, using a special app: www.menti.com. Through this activity we will discover
other different kinds of families, but this time your partners´ ones.
You will need to use the following QR code to answer the question.
Don’t worry! Here I am sending you a tutorial explaining you how to use menti and the QR code:
Tutorial:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdusI8yPgBU
Transition comment: Perfect! Now we will read the story of this couple who travelled for love…
Comentario [A2]: About your family
Comentario [A3]: Good!
Attention to some language mistakes:
 AN special app
 Once the app is download…
 Pronunciation of Just
PRODUCTION
Now it´s time to open your book at page 68 and read the story about Ian and Amy.
The teacher will read the text aloud and while reading she will display some images to help them with the
vocabulary.
To check understanding the teacher will ask to the pupils to do exercise 4 on page 69
Well, as we are speaking about our families and about journeys I would like to know nowan anecdote you have
with your family oin a trip you have made.
1) Write a short paragraph (between 80 to 100 words) telling an anecdote you have with your family
during a trip.
The teacher will send you her own anecdote so together with the text you will have two examples to follow:
Last year, ion February, I went to Cordoba with my family. We travelled by car and we rented a house in Carlos
Paz for the summer holiday. One day we got lost because we were speaking and making jokes all the time, and
we were not following the map, so suddenly we found ourselves in a complicated situation; we were in the
Comentario [A4]: Yes!
middle of nowhere. Although we were lost, we were happy because we were all together as a family and
nothing is better than being with your own family.
CLOSURE
“I will be waitingfor your contributions and your paragraphs!I hope you enjoy this lesson!” Have a nice week!!
Goodbye!
SECOND WEEK
 All the lessons are recorded to be sent to the students
Hi my dear students! I Loved your travel stories, we have learnt that people have different reasons for
travelling and how different our experiences can be. Well here you will find some travel verbs: Comentario [A5]: You may ask them,
What do we DO when we travel?
Well after reading all of them while watching the pictures you have to do exercise number 2 in which you have
to tick the verbs we can use with each type of transport. And finally you have to work with exercise number 3
in which you have to choose the correct words to complete the sentences.
After finishing them you are going to complete exercise one on page 68. Here you will see some new verbs
related to journeys.
After finishing these exercises, I would like you to take the paragraphs you wrote last week, and I would like
you change it a little using some of the verbs or words we have learnt this week.
That´s all for now!
Bye!
THIRD WEEK
Hi everyone? Do you remember the love story of Amy and Ian? Do you remember that they flew to visit each
other at the same time?
Well now I would like you to read the text again and to focus your attention on the regular and irregular verbs.
Remember that regular verbs are those who we add ED at the end and irregular verbs are those who change
their forms: for example: go went or fly flew
Now you will open your books at page 69.
First you will focus your attention on the grammar box, and thenyou will work with exercise 5 and 6.
Comentario [A6]: This edition might
not be that simple. Not all the
anecdotes could be adapted…
Instead, you may ask them to write
another anecdote about those
situations – getting lost / missing the
bus / taking a taxi, etc.
Of course, you should provide an
example.
Comentario [A7]: Are they
acquainted with the interrogative form?
Well now I would like you to work in pairs. I would like to ask you your partner about a holiday or journey, for
example:
- Where did you go?
- When did you go?
- How did you travel?
- Who did you go with?
- What did you do?
- Did you have a good time?
After collecting all the information you think is necessary, I would like you to write a short paragraph between
80 to 100 words about your partner´s holiday or journey. Remember to use the vocabulary and verbs we have
learnt up to here. After finishing please circle all the regular verbs and underline the irregular verbs you used.
That´s all for this week!
FOURTH WEEK
Hi my dear students! Well to round up this topic about journeys and to practisce a little more simple events I
would ask you to work with page 103, first read the information you will find oin the left, then work with
exercises 1 and 2.
Comentario [A8]: How? May they
choose the means of communication?
Comentario [A9]: What for?
Be precise.
Then you will go to page 76 and you will work with exercises 1 and 2.
To finish I would ask you to do the exercise you will find in the following link:
https://es.liveworksheets.com/ki872705hq
In case you need help here you will find a tutorial in which I explain you how to do it.
Tutorial:https://www.loom.com/share/eed094ffc18047c4a1a12a0d3640c473
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-tJW0sYWq4
Once you finish you have to send it to my mail: miliaro@hotmail.com
Hope you have enjoyed this lesson! Bye!

The teacher will send you her own anecdote so together with the text you will have two examples to follow: Last year, ion February, I went to Cordoba with my family. We travelled by car and we rented a house in Carlos Paz for the summer holiday. One day we got lost because we were speaking and making jokes all the time, and we were not following the map, so suddenly we found ourselves in a complicated situation; we were in the Comentario [A4]: Yes!

CLOSURE “I will be waitingfor your contributions and your paragraphs!I hope you enjoy this lesson!” Have a nice week!! Goodbye! SECOND WEEK  All the lessons are recorded to be sent to the students Hi my dear students! I Loved your travel stories, we have learnt that people have different reasons for travelling and how different our experiences can be. Well here you will find some travel verbs: Comentario [A5]: You may ask them, What do we DO when we travel?
  • 8. Well after reading all of them while watching the pictures you have to do exercise number 2 in which you have to tick the verbs we can use with each type of transport. And finally you have to work with exercise number 3 in which you have to choose the correct words to complete the sentences. After finishing them you are going to complete exercise one on page 68. Here you will see some new verbs related to journeys. After finishing these exercises, I would like you to take the paragraphs you wrote last week, and I would like you change it a little using some of the verbs or words we have learnt this week. That´s all for now! Bye! THIRD WEEK Hi everyone? Do you remember the love story of Amy and Ian? Do you remember that they flew to visit each other at the same time? Well now I would like you to read the text again and to focus your attention on the regular and irregular verbs. Remember that regular verbs are those who we add ED at the end and irregular verbs are those who change their forms: for example: go went or fly flew Now you will open your books at page 69. First you will focus your attention on the grammar box, and thenyou will work with exercise 5 and 6. Comentario [A6]: This edition might not be that simple. Not all the anecdotes could be adapted… Instead, you may ask them to write another anecdote about those situations – getting lost / missing the bus / taking a taxi, etc. Of course, you should provide an example. Comentario [A7]: Are they acquainted with the interrogative form?
  • 9. Well now I would like you to work in pairs. I would like to ask you your partner about a holiday or journey, for example: - Where did you go? - When did you go? - How did you travel? - Who did you go with? - What did you do? - Did you have a good time? After collecting all the information you think is necessary, I would like you to write a short paragraph between 80 to 100 words about your partner´s holiday or journey. Remember to use the vocabulary and verbs we have learnt up to here. After finishing please circle all the regular verbs and underline the irregular verbs you used. That´s all for this week! FOURTH WEEK Hi my dear students! Well to round up this topic about journeys and to practisce a little more simple events I would ask you to work with page 103, first read the information you will find oin the left, then work with exercises 1 and 2.
