INTRODUCTION
• Proteins are composed by
aminoacids, depending of
which aminoacid, the protein
will have especific
caracteristics like movement
of water or transportation of
charges. Also the proteins
acomplish a lot of functions in
the body, just to mention
some : they regulate the
genetic expresion, make a
important part of the inmune
system.
• The central dogma of
molecular biology ends with
the translation a part were
proteins are produced. This
proces uses a lot of
components like RNAm,
RNAt,RNAr, ribosoms etc.
INTRODUCTION
• Proteins are composed by

of charges. Also the proteins
acomplish a lot of functions in the
body, just to mention some : they

• There are a lot of proteins that interact with de integrins, one of those proteins are the
laminin 511( the one that was being study on the new).
• The laminins are composed by three chains: alpha, beta gama
• The chains that offer the mayority of information, was the chain alpha and gamma

“It is known that the specific domains of the alpha chain (LG1-3) and the gamma chain
are essential for binding to integrin, but scientists are unsure if the gamma chain directly
interacts with integrin or facilitates interaction with LG1-3”
The glutamic acid is important to bend to the integrin

and its interactions with a metal
• The function of the gamma chain is the one that stabilizate the complex integrin-
laminin, the gamma chain acompish this mission by creating a union with the metal

The idea of founding de mechanism of
inteaction between these proteins is quite
amazing, they specify that cells define their
function because the cell that is near them,
so this informaiton would be useful for
example to transplants.

“When fertilized the egg becomes an embryo, the stashed maternal mRNAs are pressed
into service for a brief window before the embryo starts transcribing its own mRNAs”
This happens on humans on the first 4 division

is made by three PNG kinase
( PNG, PLU, and GNU)

“When an egg is activated, levels of another enzyme that adds phosphates to GNU in the
egg precipitously drop, allowing GNU to lose its phosphates and bind to PNG-PLU. Once
together, the trio comprises the PNG kinase that triggers the translational control of the
maternal mRNAs. Because PNG kinase also triggers the break down of GNU, the kinase
self-destructs, which quickly and irreversibly squelches the translation of maternal
mRNAs.”
STUDENT OPINION
The translation of RNAm is the base of the
proteins in the body, just knowing how the
embryo how control a moment were the cells
change of RNAm can help with a lot of possible
treatments to embryonary problems
It wolud be great to see this study in humans cells,
because the one of the article was with
Drosophila, and just a chnage on a specie changes
a lot of factors, like porteins, gen expersion, e.t.c
MEDICAL UTILITY
Knowing the estructural function of
protein maybe doesnt find a cure for
especific sickness o disease, but what
really does is to give more information ,
and the information gives more ways to
treat by finding a way to use the
laminin 511, for example a use on
transplants, on decrease of an growing
cancer.
MEDICAL UTILITY
the RNAm is a important facrtor on the
translataion, also on how the proteins
are expresed and produced (in a
functioal way), so by controling wich
RNAm is expresed (the one of the
mother or the one of the embryon)
during de groing of the embryon, can
help to cure or treata lot of congenital
diseases.

Also the proteins acomplish a lot of functions in the body, just to mention some : they regulate the genetic expresion, make a important part of the inmune system. • The central dogma of molecular biology ends with the translation a part were proteins are produced. This proces uses a lot of components like RNAm, RNAt,RNAr, ribosoms etc.

PROTEINS KEEP A GRIP ON CELLS • There are a lot of proteins that interact with de integrins, one of those proteins are the laminin 511( the one that was being study on the new). • The laminins are composed by three chains: alpha, beta gama • The chains that offer the mayority of information, was the chain alpha and gamma
