1. I like the colour scheme of this film – the pink / blue colouring gives a modern, urban psychedelic feel which is
the look that I am aiming for. The moody look of Gosling works well with this. The third image is my favourite,
as this is the most subtle look of the three (the first, with his fists raised, is a little corny.) The 80s style font,
given a modern twist by the neon shine that has been added, brings a lot of character to the poster. I also like
the overlay of the patterns – a superimposition like this would work well on my poster as this adds to the notion
of a psychedelic trip. This also adds more interest to the image as it is no longer simply a ‘head shot’.

the left image – it is much

The colouring is funky
and the pattern created
plays tricks on the eyes. I

The poster on the right is really interesting – the POV shot is unusual, but works perfectly with the pink hue
and central framing. The blurred lights in the background tie in with this strong colour scheme and helps to
‘cushion’ the image. I like this poster as it is ambiguous, as well as being an excellent image in itself, but
still clearly keeps to the theme of psychedelic.

5. These posters from the 1967 film ‘The Trip’ have a
homemade feel to them, which I think would be quite
interesting if I used something like this in my poster (e.g.
collage lettering for the title.)
I like the fact that a single colour has been used in each, with
then another used for the title which boldly stands out from
the rest of the image.
