Let's begin with one of Norman's cousins. Remember how he always has those infamously offbeat
cousins who turn up in a variety of places? Well, early on in the film, we are introduced to Serge as
played by Chris, and the scene is absolutely hilarious. This picture gives you just a taste of what to
expect. I wasn't sure I had seen Chris before, but his resume is quite extensive. In fact, I remember
him from Hitched for the Holidays. As Serge, he is simply ideal––just an example of a cast member

Lowe Syndrome Research Paper
As an early childhood educator young children learn with all their senses. However, the implication
for children with Lowe syndrome or visual impairment learn from all their other senses. In our
classroom we would prepare sensory activities such as the sticky fall tree where the children place
fabric leaves on contact paper. This activity provides independent and it allows the outdoors to come
to them in a controlled environment. In addition, it provides the child cognitive and fine motor
skills. Parents can make feel box which is made from old kleenex boxes filled with all kinds or
textures. In our classroom we have sensory tables with sand and water. We know that young
children are oriented toward sensory experiences. Sensory play also contributes in crucial ways to
brain development. Think of it as "food for the brain." Stimulating the senses, sends signals to
children's brains that help to strengthen neural pathways important for all types of learning. Sensory
play helps children with Lowe syndrome or visual impairment to explore the world around them. ...

Thaddeus Lowe Balloon Outline
The first sign of air balloons in warfare came from the county of France. The French army created
the Corp d'Aerostiers in 1794. These balloons were intended only to gather information and
conducting reconnaissance. They made their debut during the battles of Charleroi and Fleurus in
1794. The Corps was disbanded during the conflict that the French were facing in Egypt. 3 On April
19, 1861, Thaddeus Lowe became the first balloonist to fly over the Atlantic Ocean. Professor Lowe
wanted to prove that the westerly winds could make transatlantic travel possible. Lowe was not a
professor, but more of a showman. His flight from Cincinnati, Ohio to the Confederacy states took
him nine hours. The balloon was fifty feet tall and twenty thousand cubic feet, and it landed in
Unionville, South Carolina. 1 After landing in South Carolina, Lowe was arrested on the ... Show

They were not as structured or dependable as the Union's balloons, but they were still very
successful in battle. The Confederate balloons were used in Richmond during the Seven Days
Campaign. 3 Surprisingly, no balloons were shot down during the Civil War. Many Confederates
soldiers were documented trying to hit some of the Union balloons down, but it was almost
impossible to shoot down these aircraft vehicles because they were more than one thousand feet in
the air. 3 The new found balloon technology also lead to other advancements in warfare, like the
aircraft carrier. Aircraft carriers are advanced warships from wooden balloon–carrying vessels, that
were originally just used for observation. Without the advancement of balloon warfare technology,
there would've been no need for the aircraft carriers. Aircraft carriers are very important and vital to
the present military. Without aircraft carriers, our brave airmen would have nowhere to land their
plane in case of emergency. This is all due to the great mind and innovation of Thaddeus Lowe.

Beach Lifeguard Research Paper
Lifeguard Defined Merriam Webster defines a lifeguard as "a usually expert swimmer employed (as
at a beach or a pool) to safeguard other swimmers." There are many types of lifeguards. The most
famous is the beach lifeguards. But there are also (swimming) pool, waterpark, and waterfront. Pool
guards guard various swimming pools. Waterpark guards do pools with various attractions, such as
slides. Waterfront lifeguards guard larger bodies of water such as resorts or public parks. Surf guards
do the beaches. Which one people choose is either preference or convenience. Stepping Stones The
training varies on what type of guard is desired. The minimum requirement is a written and water

Women makeup about 44.2% of the total lifeguards. However, like in Australia, male lifeguards are
the majority, but that is starting to change. In a study by Penn state quoted by Thomas Griffiths, the
average age for a lifeguard is 17 years old. The ideal place to live for a lifeguard depends on the
type. For swimming pools, anywhere would work, but hotter places would get the most hours and
income. It is a good starting place for younger people. For non– surf or Waterfront, living next to a
resort or a state park would make transportation easier. Waterpark guards ideally live where there is
a waterpark in close proximity or who like watching people on slides. Anywhere is a possibility to
be a lifeguard. The salary for beginning guards ranges from nine to eleven dollars per hour.
Lifeguards on surf fronts range from 23,000 to 200,000 dollars a year. After 10 years, lifeguards
who get promoted to manager or advanced lifeguard usually get 23,000 to 27,000 dollars a year. The
salary is greater in other places. In California, beach front guards can work their way up to 200,000

Lifeguard Analysis
As you prepare for your interview for a job as a lifeguard, here are some simply pointers to help you
get ready for the interview process. The lifeguard interview questions and answers may not be
exactly like other job interviews. However, it does have some similar characteristic of regular
interviews. Like every interview you should answer all question clearly, and with confidence. It is
important to show that you are knowledgeable about the jobs responsibility. This is the time to
showcase your previous experience and training and how you can apply your experience to the
position you are applying for. The first thing an interviewer wants to see is how confident you are.
You can show them this by maintaining good body language, and answering ... Show more content

This is a great opportunity to show the interviewer what sets you apart from other applicants and
why you would be a perfect fit for the position. If this is your first time interviewing for this positon,
you will more than likely not have any formal background experience as a lifeguard. However, do
not let that discourage you. There are other ways to show experience, such as talking about your
experience as a swimmer. When I first applied to be a lifeguard I had no on the job experience.
Instead of letting that intimidate me, I informed them that "I was a competitive swimmer for 6 years
and even made it to the junior Olympics." By highlighting your swimming experience it shows the
interviewer that you have previous training and are comfortable in the water. Another way to show
experience is to mention any volunteer work where you had a leadership role or had to interact with
and directed people. A major key to lifeguarding is supervising others. Volunteer work shows you
are capable of handling responsibilities and are comfortable with being in a leadership position.
Furthermore, it is important that you described to them the steps you take when handling difficult
situations. For those who have had previse experience as a lifeguard you should describe a time
where you had to handle a tough situation as a lifeguard. Katy Piotrowski suggest that a person use
the "STAR process for answering a number of interview questions: 1) describe the situation or tasks,
2) talk about the actions you took, 3) finish with the results of your efforts." These are all good steps
to take when being

Personal Narrative: Boocerous And Disruptive
From a young age, I was referred to by numerous as a difficult child. Everywhere I went I would
constantly be boisterous and disruptive. Of course, I didn't act disruptive intentionally, I simply
couldn't help saying everything that came to my mind the minute it came to me. Due to this behavior
of mine, I had trouble staying involved in activities, such as sports and scouting. Without these
hobbies, I had trouble fitting in with the other kids. What made this even harder was that I moved
every two years, which meant I had to make new friends every two years. However, all of this
changed when I moved to Huntsville, Alabama. When I initially moved to Huntsville I had no clue

This is because of each seller is setting its price based upon the reaction by the prices its competitor
establishes. Lowe's Is An Oligopoly Lowe's is part of an oligopoly type market structure. An
oligopoly is a situation in which a particular market is controlled by a small group of firms with at
least two firms controlling the market. The main key to behavior in an oligopoly is that companies
must take into account what other companies will do. In perfect competition, firms are price–takers
and can ignore other firms (Basic Economics, 2009). The home improvement retail stores are an
industry that includes Home Depot, Lowe's, Builders Square, and in other states, Menards. Smaller
companies have to try to compete with them to stay in business. Lowe's is the 14th largest retailer in
the United States and is presently planning aggressive expansion, opening a new store on average
every three days. Lowe's revenue growth is primarily a function of penetration of the market
increase resulting from a burst of new locations instead of the same store sales. Although Lowe's has
grown tremendously, it remains half the size of Home Depot and has serious debt burden that
increases its risk level drastically. Lowe's is Home Depot's largest competitor because both
companies have the same products, services, and enormous warehouse formats. In this major retail

Why Is It Important To Buick And Lowe China?
Buick and Lowe China teamed up to create this powerful ad to improve road safety in China. In this
ad a woman is standing on an empty highway holding a sign indicating the speed limit. This real life
victim is missing an arm, an injury that she suffered during a car accident. The scenery is pale and
seemingly lifeless. This ad is targeting all drivers who seemingly do not understand the dangers of
disobeying traffic signs. Buick and Lowe China create an effective and powerful ad, by making
drivers see the real and tragic consequences of not following road safety rules. The ad is not only
targeting drivers, but anyone who is in a vehicle. Passengers can be hurt in a car accident, so this ad
helps them see the danger of breaking the law. They can urge the driver of the vehicle to drive
according to the road signs, and to always do so. However, the main target is still the drivers. They
are the ones responsible for obeying road signs, and they are the ones responsible for accidents.
Buick chooses a real life victim, and not an actress to hold the sign because they know that drivers
will connect more to a real life situation than an inorganic one. ... Show more content on

that it could happen to anyone and it has. Buick appeals to the audience's emotions and does so

Comparison Of Home Depot And Lowes
Rivals: In major markets, Home Depot and Lowes are bitter rivals, mainly in the DIY sector. Lowes
and Home Depot are similar with what they offer and both have large warehouse stores. The other
smaller competitors like True Value, Ace Hardware, and Hughes Supply are not even close when it
comes to what Lowes or Home Depot are accomplishing. The biggest threat that faces Lowes now is
that Home Depot has been training with a Chinese retailer and bought the store. Now Home Depot
has a foothold in a growing Chinese market.
New Entrants: Any company that tries to move into the home improvement will have difficulty in
competing with Lowes or Home Depot. This is because they have created what is known as an
oligopoly in the United States. They account for the majority of the home improvement industries
overall market and thus creating an economy of scale because of their purchasing power. Any
company that attempts to enter this market will face a huge difference in economy of scale that they
may have difficulty overcoming. Any new entrant will be going up against giants and will be forced
to be a specialty store to gain any traction. Other barriers may include customer loyalty, startup
capital, regional recognition, and a large selection of products.
Suppliers:
Suppliers hold much of the power on the price they can sell their goods. Also, supply and demand
also have a part in determining market price. In the home improvement industry, Lowes and Home

Lowes Vs Home Depot
While Lowes and Home Depot follow similar differentiation and low cost strategies, there are a few
differences in marketing due to the fact that Lowes seems to be more targeted towards women with
bright and colorful displays, wide aisles and product stacking that is lower and easier to reach
(Clemons, 2012). While this is a calculated decision because women make 80% of home
improvement decisions, it may distract from growth in the contractor business since the vast
majority of home improvement professionals are men. The advantage shifts toward Home Depot
since men also spend thirty five percent more than women on home improvement supplies therefore,
attracting men may actually be more efficient in terms of return of investment (Goodfellow, 2013).
The ability to quickly locate products and return to work is a tremendous advantage for contractors
who would prefer to be on the job instead of leisurely strolling the aisles of a store while examining
multitudes of options. This may be a major component of Home Depot's rebound since they derive a
larger percentage of their sales from professionals and the rebounding housing markets and
rebuilding efforts from Hurricane Sandy have introduced significant cash flow into the industry
(Cheng, 2013). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Personal Narrative: Mrs. Vermillion
After a long day of yearbook signings and other "farewell activities," the bell rang, marking the end
of my last day of middle school. I said goodbye to my friends and teachers and stuffed the last of my
books and supplies into my already full backpack. As I walked down the main hall for the final time,
I laughed at how long the hall had once seemed and how short it felt now. With the anticipation of
summer building in me, I walked faster and faster, almost running toward freedom, but when I
reached the door marked "Chorus– Mrs. Vermillion," I couldn't resist the urge to stop in one last
time. The chorus room was always a happy place for me, where the troubles of the school day
seemed just a little bit less important. I was fond of every detail, from the loyal old piano to Mrs.

Now that I could see beyond the audition, I remembered why I had wanted to be in the ensemble in
the first place, and I desperately wanted to know if I had made the cut. After what seemed like
endless waiting, Mrs. Vermillion finally posted the list. My eyes immediately went to the Soprano
column. When I saw my name, I hardly dared believe it. Slowly, the realization that this was not
some mistake began to sink in. It was the most incredible feeling in the world, like I could have
flown if I wanted to. Smiling to myself at the memory, I thought of how much I had grown since
that audition. I remembered the concerts I had performed in, the choirs I had tried out for, the
sectionals I had lead. My growing confidence in my musical abilities had spilled over into other
areas of my life, too: I spoke more in class and I no longer hesitated to try new things. I fondly
glanced around the chorus room one last time, mentally absorbing every detail. I closed the door
behind me, not feeling like running anymore, and strode the rest of the way down the hall, moving
on to the next stage of my

The home improvement retailer was hit with a double whammy last year: a housing market
downturn and customer service problems that have plagued the company for years. Also on the
company's to–do list: preventing patrons from fleeing to competitor Lowe's, which has been
chipping away at HD's lead. In–store makeovers were a start, and the company also has been
seeking skilled workers to replace inexperienced part–timers who'd previously been hired to help cut

candidates to have a seat in the ensemble. To have gotten this far meant that I had been selected to
perform in my district band. However, the audition that I had passed for admittance into my district

project to gain customer mind share in the kitchen remodeling arena. The project, called the next–
generation installed sales (NGIS) initiative, was a concerted effort by Lowe's to expand its service

Lowe's was the second largest home improvement retailer in the world and the fastest growing in the
United States. Its corporate vision was to "provide customer–valued solutions with the best prices,
products, and services to make Lowe's the first choice for home improvement."1
The Home Improvement Industry
The U.S. kitchen renovation market reached $17 billion in 2005. Growth in this market was at an
all–time high in the mid–2000s, but the economic recession in 2008 also led to a slowdown in this
sector. Research indicated that approximately 75 percent of kitchen remodeling projects were done
through professionals, while 25 percent were completed by homeowners themselves. Most of the
DIY projects were undertaken by lower–income homeowners who could not afford to hire
professional service firms (see Exhibit 1 for a breakdown of source of kitchen remodeling services
by income). Major kitchen remodeling projects cost anywhere between $40,000 and $80,000,
depending on the choice of materials (see Exhibit 2 for details on trends in kitchen remodeling
costs).
The home renovation industry was highly fragmented; nearly 30 percent of the industry consisted of
private, local companies who reported less than $100,000 in revenue annually.2 The industry
included professional companies, divisions within home stores, small local companies, and
independent contractors. Small companies and independent contractors had

A more tell tale sign is the quick ratio, or acid test, which has increased year after year. Debt to total
assets has decreased over 5% since 2001, indicating less financing of current and long term debt and
more company assets. Their cash debt coverage far surpasses the ideal 20%, indicating a high level
of solvency with sufficient funds and assets to satisfy all debtors. Asset turnover has more or less
maintained at right around 1.6, signifying a turnover rate of just less than 180 times per year.
Profitability and liquidity ratios are impressive and continue to reflect the company's ability to
succeed and compete with archrival and industry powerhouse Home Depot. The stock market ratios
have fluctuated throughout the period analyzed, largely due in part to world events beyond
management's scope of control and the American public's uncertainty in the market as a whole. All
in all Lowe's is forecasted to continue its growth and upward trend in all indicative areas and remain
a power in the retail hardware, special orders and home improvement market, trespassing on
territory once clearly dominated by Home Depot, the worlds largest hardware retailer. Lowe's is a
favorite amongst institutional investors as their holdings make up 80.80% of common stock issued.

quite the graphical overhaul in this enhanced release, however most of the original concepts remain

And that is a good thing, because Leisure Suit Larry is a hilarious game. Al Lowe has created a

Interview With Crystal Lowe 1396034The POstables investigation of a damaged letter leads them to a public figure who could be brought down by its contents; while Oliver, Shane, Norman and Rita each deal with personal challenges in the aftermath of Valentine's Day. [embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=w2zJIOX6szw[/embedyt] First of all, if you have not read my interview with Crystal Lowe (Rita), please check it out here. Secondly, although I do my best to keep this as spoiler–free as possible, know that there is a chance you will read something you didn't know about this film. If you are worried about spoilers, do not read any further! Chris Gauthier as Serge Chris Gauthier as Serge Let's begin with one of Norman's cousins. Remember how he always has those infamously offbeat cousins who turn up in a variety of places? Well, early on in the film, we are introduced to Serge as played by Chris, and the scene is absolutely hilarious. This picture gives you just a taste of what to expect. I wasn't sure I had seen Chris before, but his resume is quite extensive. In fact, I remember him from Hitched for the Holidays. As Serge, he is simply ideal––just an example of a cast member who knows how to make himself unforgettable. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Thaddeus Lowe Balloon Outline The first sign of air balloons in warfare came from the county of France. The French army created the Corp d'Aerostiers in 1794. These balloons were intended only to gather information and conducting reconnaissance. They made their debut during the battles of Charleroi and Fleurus in 1794. The Corps was disbanded during the conflict that the French were facing in Egypt. 3 On April 19, 1861, Thaddeus Lowe became the first balloonist to fly over the Atlantic Ocean. Professor Lowe wanted to prove that the westerly winds could make transatlantic travel possible. Lowe was not a professor, but more of a showman. His flight from Cincinnati, Ohio to the Confederacy states took him nine hours. The balloon was fifty feet tall and twenty thousand cubic feet, and it landed in Unionville, South Carolina. 1 After landing in South Carolina, Lowe was arrested on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They were not as structured or dependable as the Union's balloons, but they were still very successful in battle. The Confederate balloons were used in Richmond during the Seven Days Campaign. 3 Surprisingly, no balloons were shot down during the Civil War. Many Confederates soldiers were documented trying to hit some of the Union balloons down, but it was almost impossible to shoot down these aircraft vehicles because they were more than one thousand feet in the air. 3 The new found balloon technology also lead to other advancements in warfare, like the aircraft carrier. Aircraft carriers are advanced warships from wooden balloon–carrying vessels, that were originally just used for observation. Without the advancement of balloon warfare technology, there would've been no need for the aircraft carriers. Aircraft carriers are very important and vital to the present military. Without aircraft carriers, our brave airmen would have nowhere to land their plane in case of emergency. This is all due to the great mind and innovation of Thaddeus Lowe. ... If this is your first time interviewing for this positon, you will more than likely not have any formal background experience as a lifeguard. However, do not let that discourage you. There are other ways to show experience, such as talking about your experience as a swimmer. When I first applied to be a lifeguard I had no on the job experience. Instead of letting that intimidate me, I informed them that "I was a competitive swimmer for 6 years and even made it to the junior Olympics." By highlighting your swimming experience it shows the interviewer that you have previous training and are comfortable in the water. Another way to show experience is to mention any volunteer work where you had a leadership role or had to interact with and directed people. A major key to lifeguarding is supervising others. Volunteer work shows you are capable of handling responsibilities and are comfortable with being in a leadership position. Furthermore, it is important that you described to them the steps you take when handling difficult situations. For those who have had previse experience as a lifeguard you should describe a time where you had to handle a tough situation as a lifeguard. An oligopoly is a situation in which a particular market is controlled by a small group of firms with at least two firms controlling the market. The main key to behavior in an oligopoly is that companies must take into account what other companies will do. In perfect competition, firms are price–takers and can ignore other firms (Basic Economics, 2009). The home improvement retail stores are an industry that includes Home Depot, Lowe's, Builders Square, and in other states, Menards. Smaller companies have to try to compete with them to stay in business. Lowe's is the 14th largest retailer in the United States and is presently planning aggressive expansion, opening a new store on average every three days. Lowe's revenue growth is primarily a function of penetration of the market increase resulting from a burst of new locations instead of the same store sales. Although Lowe's has grown tremendously, it remains half the size of Home Depot and has serious debt burden that increases its risk level drastically. • 28. Why Is It Important To Buick And Lowe China? Buick and Lowe China teamed up to create this powerful ad to improve road safety in China. In this ad a woman is standing on an empty highway holding a sign indicating the speed limit. This real life victim is missing an arm, an injury that she suffered during a car accident. The scenery is pale and seemingly lifeless. This ad is targeting all drivers who seemingly do not understand the dangers of disobeying traffic signs. Buick and Lowe China create an effective and powerful ad, by making drivers see the real and tragic consequences of not following road safety rules. The ad is not only targeting drivers, but anyone who is in a vehicle. Passengers can be hurt in a car accident, so this ad helps them see the danger of breaking the law. They can urge the driver of the vehicle to drive according to the road signs, and to always do so. However, the main target is still the drivers. They are the ones responsible for obeying road signs, and they are the ones responsible for accidents. Buick chooses a real life victim, and not an actress to hold the sign because they know that drivers will connect more to a real life situation than an inorganic one. ... • 30. Comparison Of Home Depot And Lowes Rivals: In major markets, Home Depot and Lowes are bitter rivals, mainly in the DIY sector. Lowes and Home Depot are similar with what they offer and both have large warehouse stores. The other smaller competitors like True Value, Ace Hardware, and Hughes Supply are not even close when it comes to what Lowes or Home Depot are accomplishing. The biggest threat that faces Lowes now is that Home Depot has been training with a Chinese retailer and bought the store. Now Home Depot has a foothold in a growing Chinese market. New Entrants: Any company that tries to move into the home improvement will have difficulty in competing with Lowes or Home Depot. This is because they have created what is known as an oligopoly in the United States. They account for the majority of the home improvement industries overall market and thus creating an economy of scale because of their purchasing power. Any company that attempts to enter this market will face a huge difference in economy of scale that they may have difficulty overcoming. Any new entrant will be going up against giants and will be forced to be a specialty store to gain any traction. Other barriers may include customer loyalty, startup capital, regional recognition, and a large selection of products. Suppliers: Suppliers hold much of the power on the price they can sell their goods. Also, supply and demand also have a part in determining market price. • 32. Lowes Vs Home Depot While Lowes and Home Depot follow similar differentiation and low cost strategies, there are a few differences in marketing due to the fact that Lowes seems to be more targeted towards women with bright and colorful displays, wide aisles and product stacking that is lower and easier to reach (Clemons, 2012). While this is a calculated decision because women make 80% of home improvement decisions, it may distract from growth in the contractor business since the vast majority of home improvement professionals are men. The advantage shifts toward Home Depot since men also spend thirty five percent more than women on home improvement supplies therefore, attracting men may actually be more efficient in terms of return of investment (Goodfellow, 2013). The ability to quickly locate products and return to work is a tremendous advantage for contractors who would prefer to be on the job instead of leisurely strolling the aisles of a store while examining multitudes of options. This may be a major component of Home Depot's rebound since they derive a larger percentage of their sales from professionals and the rebounding housing markets and rebuilding efforts from Hurricane Sandy have introduced significant cash flow into the industry (Cheng, 2013). ... Growth in this market was at an all–time high in the mid–2000s, but the economic recession in 2008 also led to a slowdown in this sector. Research indicated that approximately 75 percent of kitchen remodeling projects were done through professionals, while 25 percent were completed by homeowners themselves. Most of the DIY projects were undertaken by lower–income homeowners who could not afford to hire professional service firms (see Exhibit 1 for a breakdown of source of kitchen remodeling services by income). Major kitchen remodeling projects cost anywhere between $40,000 and $80,000, depending on the choice of materials (see Exhibit 2 for details on trends in kitchen remodeling costs). The home renovation industry was highly fragmented; nearly 30 percent of the industry consisted of private, local companies who reported less than $100,000 in revenue annually.2 The industry included professional companies, divisions within home stores, small local companies, and independent contractors. Small companies and independent contractors had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There was no pedestrian crossing for walkers and limitation of food variety within the three shopping centers. Profitability and liquidity ratios are impressive and continue to reflect the company's ability to succeed and compete with archrival and industry powerhouse Home Depot. The stock market ratios have fluctuated throughout the period analyzed, largely due in part to world events beyond management's scope of control and the American public's uncertainty in the market as a whole. All in all Lowe's is forecasted to continue its growth and upward trend in all indicative areas and remain a power in the retail hardware, special orders and home improvement market, trespassing on territory once clearly dominated by Home Depot, the worlds largest hardware retailer. The premise of the Larry games is one most of us guys can relate too: hook up with some smoking hot women. In 2013 an enhanced version was released after a successful kickstarter campaign. The game has underwent quite the graphical overhaul in this enhanced release, however most of the original concepts remain intact. And that is a good thing, because Leisure Suit Larry is a hilarious game. Al Lowe has created a game with a juvenile sense of humor that dares you keep a straight face.
