This document contains the notes from a presentation by Michael Niehoff on project-based learning (PBL). Niehoff discusses how PBL can be used as a method ("the HOW") to teach various educational concepts and standards ("the WHAT"), such as the 4Cs, technology integration, rigor, and career technical education. He also addresses why schools should use PBL, defining what PBL is and isn't, and providing examples of effective PBL projects and resources for learning more about implementing PBL. The presentation encourages attendees to think about how PBL elements could connect to their own work and to discuss their thoughts on using PBL.
