water and salt water).

important?
1. They serve as the habitat and
breeding or spawning ground of many
organisms such as birds, fish,
amphibians, insects, algae varieties,
and crustaceans.

important?
An ecosystem greatly benefits from the
preservation of estuarine habitats. Estuaries
are considered as “life support areas” of our
vast ecosystem. Saltwater Marshes and
Mangrove forests acts as natural filters.
Marsh grasses and peat filter pollutants,
organic matter and nutrients before the
water exits the sea.
