Kingdom of God
What exactly is "the kingdom of God?" How does one recognize the kingdom? Are you in the kingdom of God? So often, people search for the
evidence of the kingdom of God rather than simply identifying it. In the present day, the stress is evasively put on works and actions rather than a
personal relationship with God. Too many people fall into the trap of participating in as many activities as they can, living to have their good deeds
noticed by others; however, the key point is entirely missed. It is the innermost intimate part of a person that divulges the power of an individual's life,
not the actions. Jesus makes this clear in the book of Luke when he states, "The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed; nor will

This passage contrasts the present and the future magnificence of the kingdom, which is constantly growing.
The kingdom of God includes everyone: the poor, the gentiles, the outcast, the oppressed, the women, Samaritans, tax collectors, the sick, and the
sinners. Jesus states that "the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have
good news brought to them" (Lk. 7:22). If you take this out of the context of which it was written and it may not seem like a very big deal that
some of these groups of people would be included in the kingdom of God, but in reality, Jesus caused a lot of controversy through focusing on
these neglected and oppressed people. The possession of illnesses and sin created a greater sense of desperation within the people, this allowed
more room for grace to abound in their lives and explains the reason why miracles took place in their lives more often than the rich and prestigious
upper class. A significant aspect of Jesus' teaching was setting people free from sin and giving them dominion over evil (Drane 149). Jesus constantly
breaks down social barriers and places heavy emphasis on going against the social boundaries that separate the people.
Jesus completely redefines the role of Jewish women, which Luke draws special attention to this throughout his book. In the Bible, women were of
little to no value. They were

Ambassador Of The United Kingdom
Introduction
Good afternoon. I am grateful to Chancellor Rt. Hon. the Lord Patten of Barnes, Vice Chancellor Professor Andrew Hamilton and indeed the entire
leadership of this great University for extending an invitation to have me speak here today. I have spoken at many places but engaging any form of
audience at the prestigious Oxford University is something that I really have to place on my curriculum vitae. I am also grateful to the US Ambassador
to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Mathew Barzun and his family for the warmth they have shown me since I got to the United Kingdom and for
being present at this function. Ambassador Barzun's pace–setting involvement with the internet especially at its early stage is something that I have for

These issues include shutdowns, ratifications and the war powers act. I will then provide some advice to today's political leaders and even future
political leaders. However, before that I will like to set briefly the ball rolling with my personal history.
Personal History
I was born in January, 1939 in Rosemont, a small village in Maryland of a few hundred people. My father was a World War I veteran and my mother
a sort of teacher, running some version of a reading school for the kids in the community. 1939 means I was born in the same year that the Second
World War began and that earned me the nickname "the baby's that's getting his father to go to another war".
However, my father developed a terminal illness that meant that his participation in World War 2 would only be to explain the essence and likely
ramification of reported war incidents and statements to myself and my four siblings. Inspired by my father's war stories especially those that detailed
the extent that many American soldiers would go to defend their country, and also by the earlyCold War politicking, I enrolled in the US Naval
Academy and passed out in 1955. At the time, the Cold War was at its height and as was more than likely at the time, I fought in the Vietnam War in
the 1960s.
The Vietnam period was when my father's World War 1 tales and dissections of World War 2 actions became most alive to me. The

The Currency Of The United Kingdom
In the current global economy, US Corporations are able to expand outside of its national border to trade with and invest in foreign companies. These
international business dealings open domestic companies to more business opportunities, but also require more sophisticated knowledge of foreign
economies, cultures, and policies. In particular, business must be aware of how the US dollar relates to the foreign business' functional currency. In a
market where exchange rates fluctuate daily, risk related to the foreign exchange rate must be considered.
The chart above represents the average monthly exchange rates for the last thirteen months between the US Dollar and the British Pound and Euro. The
British Pound is the currency of the United Kingdom. The Euro is the common currency of the European Union, with nineteen of the twenty–eight
current member countries using the Euro (Wheeler & Hunt, 2016).
The exchange rate is shown using direct rates based on an average of the daily noon buying rates compiled by The Federal Reserve. A direct
exchange rate shows the number of US Dollars needed to purchase one unit of the foreign currency (Hamlen, Huefner, & Largay, 2015). For
example, according to The Federal Reserve website in February 2016, an average of 1.4290 USD were needed to purchase one British Pound and
1.1092 USD were needed to purchase one Euro.
Since the United Kingdom is one of the member countries of the European Union, one might expect the currency exchange rates to

The United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, a census was taken every 10 years starting from 1801. With the exception of 1941 due to the Second World War, the census
kept a very good idea of the current population and assisted in predicting futures sizes. Population data for years prior to the census was provided from
directories and gazetteers as many churches took number on the size of its inhabitants. Estimated in the 1500s, Scotland had a population of 500,000
persons, and according to the 2011 census, the country has reached an extraordinary 5,295,000 persons. As of 2012, the birth rate was 11 births/1,000
people and a death rate of 10.5 deaths/1,000 people – this suggests that the population growth is rather relaxed since almost as many are born and die ...

The ratio of male to female has roughly been the same for the last seventy years, in favor of the females– 51%:49%. Divided amongst three age groups,
Scotland has split the population by work–status; 17% aged under 16 (unable to work full–time), 65% aged 16–64 (potentially full–time workers) and
18% aged 65 and over (retirees). Furthermore, the end–tail of the retiree column has been growing in recent times as the number of males over 100
years of age has more than doubled between the years of 2003 and 2013. Formerly only 60 persons reached this age in a generation have now
escalated to 130 males. The females, starting off substantially higher than the males, have risen as well. In 2003, there were 470 females over the
age of 100 in a single generation. That number is now 720 during the same period as the 130 males. Obviously on a global scale, developed nations
are living longer due to better health, better lifestyles and also medical assistance. These figures do not go into detail whether these men and women
are free or are in a vegetative state, being kept alive via machine. Although not the main reason why the nation's older population is living longer, it is
certainly a contributing factor that Scotland 's leading causes of death– including cancer, coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke– are declining and

United Kingdom Diversity
Founded in 1776, the United States is the third most populated country in the world. With 308,745,538 citizens, as of 2010, you could imagine the
diversity. Well, what about the United Kingdom? With a much lower population than the United States, the United Kingdom is twenty
–first in the
populace with 63,182,000 citizens, as of 2011. Because they have a smaller population than the United States, does that mean they have a lower
diversity also? What are some of the differences in demographics between the nations? Let's talk about race. In the United States, a census from 2010
shows that 72.4% of people are White, 12.6% are Black, 4.8% are Asian. There are also Native Americans and Native Alaskans are .9%, .2% are Native

God's Kingdom : My Understanding Of The Kingdom Of God
My understanding of God's kingdom, is that God is the creator of everything, and He is the ruler over everything. His plan for His kingdom is being
carried out in all of creation. Since the beginning of creation, He has been in control. The Kingdom of God is all around us in the world. He has given
us His word through the bible, and we can see in the bible how He has a plan. He has carried out His plan in the past, and is still carrying out His plan
today. In the Bible, it mentions a lot about the Kingdom of God. God is the King over all the earth, and heaven. If God is our king, then we are His
servants, and must do His will here on earth until He comes again. Ways to do His will on earth is to follow howJesus lived. He was a servant, and
wanted to show love to others. He loved the world so much he died on the cross to save us from our sins.
Sometimes I struggle with the fact that the world is so full of sin. There are so many bad things happening in the world today, and that have
happened in the past. It is hard to deal with the fact that God would let such bad things go on for so long. There are so many people in need, in the
world today. I hadn't really thought about it until we had to watch the video showing the mission of St Francis Inn. I think that they were showing
God's love by serving the homeless with respect. They provided meals and let them sit at tables like a restaurant. Seeing and hearing their stories,
shows just how much suffering there is in the world

God And The Kingdom Of God
Jesus came proclaiming the gospel of God and the Kingdom of God. But many of his disciples, like John the Baptist, did not envision the Kingdom
of God for themselves nor the Kingdom miraculously coming from Heaven. "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent and
believe in the gospel." (Mark 1:14–15, ESV.) The phrase "Kingdom of God" is the centerpiece of Jesus' teachings and is found in his unique way of
speaking about God's kingship. The arrival of the Kingdom of God did not mean the end of the world or the destruction of Israel's enemies. Jesus
then said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with the things that can be observed; nor will they say, "Look , here it is!" Or "There is is!" For in fact,
the kingdom of God is among you." (Luke 17:20,21) The Kingdom of God was based upon inclusive solidarity of human race. Ir is involved with the
idea of covenant – bringing together two parties by a solemn, unbreakable oath. It is a spiritual place in the hearts of men and women and it will find
its fulfillment in the eventual rule of God and defeat all evil. Those people, who chose to belong to God's kingdom and serve Him, are those who are
destined to have eternal life in God's presence. (Christian Bible Site) We know that this Kingdom of God is not with a man; it is something within
which man can live. It is the God's people in God's place under God's rule. It is the final establishment of the new heavens and the new earth. One day

Kingdom Of Israel Essay
Following the United Monarchy separating into two different nations the Kingdom of Israel, sometimes referred to as Samaria, existed with nineteen
kings for two–hundred and seven years from 928 to 721BC. Consisting of ten of the twelve tribes – Reuben, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali,
Gad, Ash, Ephraim and Manasseh. The Kingdom of Israel became weakened after the breakup of the United Monarchy which the Egyptians take
advantage of in 925BC when they invaded and made the Kingdom of Israel a vassal nation of Egypt followed by the Kingdom of Ammon which
gains its independence from the Kingdom of Israel. Jeroboam I the first king of the Kingdom of Israel from 928 to 907BC, created worship centers in
the cities of Bethel and Dan and encouraged the people to return to their worshipping of pagan deities such as El, Asherah, Baal and Dagan from the
Canaanite Pantheon. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Kingdom : My Understanding Of The Kingdom Of God
My story inside of God's story is just a small part of his creation, but it is important. God's story is what is most important. I am just one of the lucky
human beings who gets to live in his kingdom. In this paper, I am going to talk about my understanding of God's Kingdom, what I have a hard time
understanding about the Kingdom of God, and how I am dealing with those questions. I am also going to talk about what are the demanding needs in
the Kingdom of God today.
To my understanding, the kingdom is Christ's reign of grace in the hearts of his people. It is everything he has created. Therefore, everything but
himself is part of his kingdom. This kingdom is ruled by a King. The King is God, or Jesus Christ. The King exercises his rule in the hearts of his
elect people, and has authority over their lives. He reigns in our hearts by his grace. God is a spirit and therefore his kingdom is spiritual. The
citizens of his kingdom are the elect in Christ alone. They are not of this world, but are of God. God has been preparing this kingdom from before the
elect people were even born.
Christ's kingdom has come in our hearts, but is not yet complete. God put us on this earth to rule it, as well as service him. Our service to him is to
help his creation flourish and bring Shalom to his kingdom. The kingdom of darkness continues to seek a way in our heart. That is the kingdom that we
were born into. Therefore, there is constantly war in our hearts between these two kingdoms. In the

Kingdom Keepers Essay
In Kingdom Keepers: Disney at Dawn by Ridley Pearson, Kingdom Keeper Finn searches for Jez in the Animal Kingdom. First of all, the Kingdom
Keepers are five kids who were chosen to be DHIs (Disney Host Interactives). Secretly, the Disney Imagineers programmed the DHIs so that the
human would become their DHI when they fall asleep and wake up in the Magic Kingdom to defeat the evil group of brigands called Overtakers. The
Overtakers are Disney villains that try to usurp the park. The Kingdom Keepers incapacitated Maleficent, the sub–leader of the Overtakers, and locked
her up.

entire park. Then, they use the clues from Jez's dreams drawn in the diary to find her, and one they find in the park leads them to believe that Jez
escaped. Eventually, after using many clues, Amanda and Finn are led under the bridge in the tiger yards. Meanwhile, Maybeck and Willa find the
second DHI server and shut it down for good. Then, Finn and Amanda go to the tiger yards and find the tunnel they believe Jez is hiding in. Finn gets
into the tunnel and discovers Jez. However, they become locked in. Finn texts Philby and asks him to hack into the park and open the hatches to the

Analysis Of Kingdom Of Heaven
Regardless of how one feels about Kingdom of Heaven in terms of its quality, the film undoubtedly takes a unique approach in its portrayal of the
crusades. Although some critics have bemoaned the film for its historical inaccuracies and the way in which it presents Islam, such detractors are
excessively dogmatic in their baseless scrutiny. In addition to their assessment of Kingdom of Heaven being unfounded, they fail to understand one of
the broader notions expressed, which is the view that morality is not black and white: individuals are capable of doing both good and evil. This key
theme shown throughout the movie is especially compelling since it not only applies to the Crusades but also to the modern world.
Throughout the movie, the director, Ridley Scott, emphasizes the complex moral landscape of the Crusades to enhance the quality of the story. As best
put by Peter Stanford in his review, "Kingdom of Heaven is, however, no run–of–the–mill variation on the popular theme of the historical thriller...
Instead, Scott has directed a complex modern morality play" (Stanford, "Screen god"). One way he blurs the moral lines is the way in which he
presents the force invading Jerusalem. Scott could have taken the easy route and made the Muslim invaders the stereotypical evil villains of the film.
Instead, he presents the audience with a more nuanced view; even though the Muslim leader, Saladin, does try to violently conquer the city of
Jerusalem, he is also merciful. He sends

Descriptive Magic Kingdom
All around there were children with bright smiles full of excitement and tugging at their parents' shirts saying, "Let's go see that!" This place is the
most magical place on earth: Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The days were scorching hot, but it often rained so, I could get the cooling sensation
of rain washing the sweat off my body. Disney World consists of four parks, but the best is by far the one known as theMagic Kingdom. It made me feel
as if I am royalty. When I first walked into the Magic Kingdom, there was a walk way called Main Street, U.S.A. I saw a barber shop, a theater,
clothing shops containing Mickey Mouse attire, and art galleries filled with aesthetic art. The Hall of Presidents was located in the theatre. It had
realistic wax figures of every President sitting on a stage all together with a short show depicting events that happened during some of the Presidents'
lifetime. While taking a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A, I smelled the fresh aroma of hot–dogs and bakery items such as sweet, scrumptious apple pies.
Taking the path straight down Main Street, U.S.A, I saw the beautiful Cinderella Castle surrounded by the vast diversity of flowers and their vivid
colors. Cinderella's Castle was as tall as the Eiffel Tower. It had lovely architecture and was painted with beautiful blue and white colors. Once I
passed by Cinderella's Castle, I spotted a place entitled Frontierland with rustic, old looking buildings. There were a variety of commodities to

Saladin in this film is portrayed as someone who is ruthless in battle but overall an understanding and reasonable man. He does a lot of thinking and
strategic planning before the war or any activities concerning the war, which is shown by the way he emphasis the reasons for winning wars
(preparation rather than just by the blessings of god). However, he is determined to finish once he enters the battle. This is shown more by his
opposition than directly from Saladin's character, for example, after the first day of war Balian says this is just a first day and there will be hundreds
more. On the other hand, Saladin in The Crusades (1935) is portrayed as somewhat more arrogant. For example, when

Southern Kingdom Causes
INTRODUCTION
The Southern Kingdom is said to have been exiled by the Babylonians. In this essay one would seek to focus on tracing the causes that led to the exile
of the Southern kingdom. But before I begin, I would explain, first– how the divided kingdom came about? Second– what the Southern Kingdom here
means? Third– what an exile is and what led to the causes of the exile of southern kingdom? And finally– the Conclusion.
First, the Divided Kingdom. From studies, the Old Testament and other sources have it that not long after the reign of Saul, David, and Solomon the
Kingdom of Israel was divided into two kingdoms. Despite warnings from many prophets, both kingdoms repeatedly turn from God. The Divided
Kingdom, of the South and North, period follows the continuing story of Scripture in the books of 1 Kings (chapters 11–22) and 2 Kings. And this
period is recounted in three acts: the division of the kingdom, the resulting northern kingdom (which takes "Israel"), and the resulting southern kingdom
(which takes the name "Judah."). Assyria and Babylon force the divided kingdoms into exile. Jerusalem and the Temple are destroyed.
Second, the Southern Kingdom. The Southern Kingdom (Judah) is one of the divided kingdom after the reign of King Solomon's United Kingdom
ruled by king Rehoboam. According to J. T. Stevenson (2000), the Southern Kingdom begins with the promise of kingship from the line of Judah,
which had a long tradition, going back all the way to the prophecy of

The Coming Of The Kingdom Guides
Ridderbos' The Coming of the Kingdom guides us through the lens of the Scripture alone that we must grasp God's kingdom to have a Theocentric
view that The Kingdom is truly God's and not man centered. The kingdom is not a condition of society to produce a social Gospel. Too often it is
forgotten that God's kingdom is truly about God. When we ask ourselves or others what God's kingdom will be like, common thoughts are, what it
will be like for myself? How will I experience Heaven? Additionally, we can discern a sense of an individual's attitude towards Heaven by the way of
their approach to worship. Is worship primarily for God or is it mostly a personal experience? Hopefully, we will lead the worship of God and a
mindset that we corporately serve Him. The real focus is not for ourselves from our own perspective, but an attempt to comprehend what we can
from God's view in Scripture in the hope of doing what is pleasing to Him. Having said that, our experience shall be peace, happiness beyond compare
and a blessedness being with God. Ridderbos instructs us of how God is being revealed, an example is in Isaiah 40–55 and particularly Is. 40:9. In
verse 9, vividly striking is the thought of exclamation, Behold your God or Here is your God. Perhaps this is accurately captured by the thought of
going to a mountain with a mighty shout to tell the towns of Judah here is your God! It is the same call we make evangelistically today. The kingdom
of Heaven is the kingdom of God,

The Kingdom Of The Lord
My life story may seem like it truly began with Jon and start to end with Jon. However, our stories do not end there. We as followers of Christ are
called to further His kingdom. In those moments we are called we may not always see the deeper meaning beyond the call. We do not always see the
needs of people around us and there is always this lurking question of how we can further his kingdom.
We, as individuals, see furthering God's kingdom in different ways. Some may see it as going abroad and telling people about Christ. Some may
see it as purely doing the Lord work, such as taking care of kids, painting for an elderly couple, or even raking leaves. Whichever way you look at it
both ways are furthering the kingdom of the Lord.
We can also see the Kingdom of God through the body of believers. We together as Christians make up the body of believers. The Body of
believers are put on earth to bring those who do not believe to Christ. God will bring us severity to a hurting world. There are many different way
the scripture displays the Lord's Kingdom. We see the Kingdom become a vision in the New Testament in places such as Romans 14:17 ("For the
kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,"), Mark 10:15 "Truly I tell you, anyone
who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."), and 1 Corinthians 15:50 ("I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that

Kingdom Of Heaven Analysis
The movie "Kingdom of Heaven" tries to portray the crusades that occurred in the 12th century while at the same time describing the middle age era.
Some of the movie content contains truth of that period as well as fiction. The movie follows Balian of Ibelin and his journey from being a
blacksmith to defender of Jerusalem. Although the movie has manipulated some of the real events to appeal to a broader audience, make it more
Hollywood like, it does a decent job in portraying the battle over Jerusalem and some of the circumstances around it.
The church played a significant role during the middle ages. In fact, the church reached the height of its power in the high middle ages: the 11th, 12th,
13th centuries. It was during this period that the crusade battles occurred. The movie tries to portray the events that led to one of the battles, the Battle of
Hattin 1187. The idea that "God wills war" was apparent in both the movie and real life. Crusaders became consumed with fighting and killing the
Muslims which was clear in Guy de Lusignan and Reynald de Chatilon actions. On the other hand, Baldwin and Balian, in the movie, represented the
crusaders who wanted to maintain a peaceful relationship between the Muslims and the Christians.
Another concept that appears in the movie that is linked to reality is the ideas of becoming a crusader in order to repent your sins. One of the main
reason why Balian became a crusader is to repent his sin, of killing a priest, and his wife

The Parable Of The Kingdom Of God
We live in a world of pain and sorrow. We suffer every day from the sin of the world, but there is hope in this hopeless world. The Kingdom of God
is our hope and our happiness. Describe. The Kingdom of God is here and it is coming. It is within you and always there. The Kingdom of God is
coming but only through Jesus Christ. In Matthew 13 there are different parables that explain the Kingdom of God through an ordinary story. In the
parable of the Sower and the Seed, it paints a picture about how not all will receive the Kingdom of God. The parable of the weeds shows that good and
evil coexist in the Kingdom of God. In the parable of the mustard seed, it talks about how the Kingdom of God is still growing and will continue
growing. In the parable of the fishnet, it explains that in the end the good will make it to the Kingdom of God, but those who are bad or evil will
be thrown away. The Kingdom of God is many things. In our lifetime, we seem to get glimpses of the Kingdom of God in the things that we do.
These glimpses are described as fully alive moments. Every fully alive moment is different for every person. One of those moments could be praising
God in song in church or in chapel. That moment you are seeing and you feel the Holy Spirit is there and it makes you feel so warm and fuzzy inside.
Other moments are, mission trips or YU trips when we see the power of God in what we do for that week. These little glimpses of the Kingdom of
God make us excited to

It's just common practice to leave the tap running while you brush your teeth or while soaping up dishes. People get in a hurry and don't think about
how they don't really need to keep the water running and it's more efficient to turn the water on only when needed.
However, studies show that those who live in the U.K only use about 33 gallons of water every day. This doesn't mean that people in theUnited
Kingdom are less sanitary. Water pressure is lower, toilets don't use as much to flush, and people are more conscious of how they use their resources.
Another environmental detail I noticed in the U.K was the lack of litter on the ground, whereas in the U.S I find litter almost everywhere. How
much waste and litter do you see floating around when you walk through your city or drive to the grocery store? People toss garbage onto the floor
intentionally and accidentally all the time! You see gum wrappers, plastic bags, sometimes shoes just laying around. You'll see them on the street,
alongside the highway, in a park. Not to mention that people will just stroll past the discarded items and leave them there as if they're part of nature
itself. During my full week in the U.K I noticed that trash cans were almost everywhere. I could count on one hand how many pieces of garbage I
found on the streets of London. People would squint their eyes in disgust at anyone who would carelessly leave litter lying around, then proceed to
clean up whatever mess that was

Inaccuracies Kingdom Of Heaven
The movie Kingdom of Heaven is about the second crusades. Jerusalem is trying to protect the Holy Land from the invading Muslims. The two
great rulers during this time was King Louis VII of France and Conrad III of Germany. It is based on historical events. But in there are some
inaccuracies to make the movie better. I am here to tell you about the inaccuracies and to give you the real facts. Hollywood does it to get a bigger

The United Kingdom is a country located in the North West of Europe that has four parts, England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The capital
city is London, which the River Thames flows through from Thames Head to 140 miles later at Teddington Lock where it ends. Compared to the
United States, the United Kingdom is quite small in fact it is approximately the size of New England. Despite being diminutive in size, there is layer
upon layer of cultures and history. Also, it has geographic diversity, from the moors of Devon to the swamps in the southeast to the highlands of
Scotland. Although dwindling, many native languages survived and still spoken to this day. Some of those are Celtic, Irish, Scottish Gaelic, and Welsh.

Each wave of migrations and invasions brought different cultures and added to what is now modern–day the United Kingdom. The Romans left their
numerous long roads, whose names became lost in time since there was no written records or inscribed sources. Built by the Roman army and long
after they returned home, their roads survived, and some routes are in use today. The Normans built fortified castles, which was a new concept since
before that time there was none in the United Kingdom. One example is Restormel Castle, which is in a circular in shape as well as surrounded by an
entrenched circular ditch for protection against attacks. The Vikings left parts of their language in the names of the towns and villages, such as names
ending in by are where Vikings settled first. Places ending in Thorpe are their secondary settlements, and places that end in ton is for town or city.
D. The Saxons replaced the Roman stone buildings with wooden ones. The Saxon language gave rise to the English spoken today.

A Brief Note On The United Kingdom And The European Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, it seems an ever–increasing proportion of the population are becoming eurosceptic. Euroscepticism in the UK is the distrust
and scepticism of the relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Union and is considered a controversial and important concept in
British Politics. This increase in Euroscepticism in the UK has contributed to an EU referendum on the 23rd June 2016, during which the United
Kingdom will either decide to continue as a member state or to leave the European Union. Euroscepticism within the United Kingdom is an
increasingly relevant topic. I am going to explore why Euroscepticism is on the rise in the United Kingdom and what those contributing factors are.
Firstly, I will clarify the history of the relationship between the UK and the EU, and how Euroscepticism is not a new phenomenon. I will then explain
what the contributing factors to rising Euroscepticism in the UK are in the following order; the importance of Britain's sovereignty and independence,
the Eurosceptic nature of the British media, increasing immigration issues and terrorism threats, and the rise of anti–European political parties.
Euroscepticism within the United Kingdom
Since the establishment of the European Union, the United Kingdom has always seemed to be one of the more sceptic member states of the
organisation. In 1952, after World War II, six states compromising of Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and West Germany, created

by temptations or pushing to do your part every day. I can show perseverance in schoolwork, keeping up with new boy training, and persevering
through being homesick and missing my girlfriend. It can be hard to keep persevering everyday but nevertheless it is essential for everyone, without

The Kingdom Of God Essay
In this paper, I will examine the key theme within Jesus' ministry which is his proclamation of the Kingdom (or reign) of God. In order to grasp the
significance and meaning of this promulgation, I will begin by explaining why many scholars believe that the Kingdom of God is the central theme
within Jesus' message and ministry. Then I will explore eight significant aspects of the Kingdom of God that help to elucidate this phrase. After looking
at these various facets of the kingdom, I will conclude with a brief explanation of why this theme is so important to understanding Jesus and his
ministry. The initial question that needs to be addressed is: why do many scholars think that the proclamation of the Kingdom of God is the key theme
of Jesus' message and ministry? For many scholars, Jesus' ministry derives its meaning and serves only one particular function which is to proclaim
God's final reign and kingdom. Scholars are very confident about this theme's centrality because of the numerous occurrences within Jesus' sayings
about the Kingdom of God. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus employs three different and inter–changeable expressions to talk about God's reign which
is: the "Kingdom of Heaven," the "Kingdom of God," and the "Kingdom of my Father." These references to God's reign can be found either implicitly
or explicitly in Jesus' "parables, prayer, beatitudes, eschatological prophecies, [and] miracle stories." Another reason why scholars think that the

The Kingdoms of Day and Night
It would seem the people did not understand the urgency of the situation, the years of history and development of the kingdom was under siege and
they were only moments away from obliteration. Still they continued to walk along the gravel roads, seemingly unaware of the looming phantom of
absolute destruction that shrouded itself within the unsuspecting crossroads that divided the city. It was not your typical tale of two cities, in fact to
call these two cities was an insult to the efforts that were taken to distinguish these two powerful kingdoms, distinguishable factors that could only be
ascertained from within as any third party who were to travel between the two mighty nations would believe them to be one in the same. Only through
distinctive circumstance could the kingdoms be perceived as separate, even their oblivious gravel roads and the people who strolled along them were
strikingly similar The aforementioned circumstances were manifested solely from a traveler 's interaction with the two kingdoms, the sense of
hospitality and the lack thereof was what segmented them as if they were kingdoms of night and day. Hospitality was the key to the Kingdom of the Sun
while intimidation and exploitation was the driving force behind the Kingdom of the Silver Sky.
The Kingdom of the Sun was born when a star of fire fell from the heavens, the heat of the star was so immense that it decimated the valleys and

The Kingdom Of God :
The Kingdom of God
To understand the kingdom of God that was central to the teaching and preaching of Jesus, it's important to first grasp that God intended to rule the
world through His human children from the start. He meant for us to be His hands and feet since the beginning of creation, mirroring His image in
every way. The cancellation of this plan happened the moment the parents of mankind became victims of satan's temptation. The Old Testament
documents the fall, and the struggle of God's people from that moment on. It contains the promises of God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the
predictions of a kingdom through a multitude of prophets, and the inhumane rebellions against God. Obedience to the law seemed to come in
short–lived spurts as generation upon generation repeatedly strayed into the darkness and away from God. They resorted to violence and corruption
and were afflicted by spiritual blindness, all the while waiting on God to fulfill His promise and avenge their hardships. Yet they also perceived God
as too big, too fearful, and too threatening for them to believe His intentional love and care for them, and eventually, He saw the need to execute plan

Study Of The United Kingdom
For the writing assignment this semester, I decided to study the United Kingdom. I chose this country primarily because of Scotland and Ireland's
historical prevalence in agriculture. Both countries have a substantial amount of arable land and as such are important to agriculture. Additionally,
when people talk about beautiful, fertile land they typically bring up both of these countries. Therefore, I am interested in studying the agricultural
significance of the region.
In order to have a thorough understanding of the agricultural position in Scotland, it is essential that the demographic for the country is clearly laid
out. According to the Scotland 's Census, a website detailing demographic information about Scotland, the population of Scotland in 2011 was 5.3
million. This value was the highest recorded in Scotland whose population is currently increasing at a rate of approximately 0.49% annually.
However, there has been increased concern for Scotland due to the fact that their population is steadily aging. There are currently 311 out of every
1000 citizens that are at a pensionable age. The Scottish government expects this number to increase to 397 by 2039.
Scottish populations have struggled until most recently in history. This is due to a few different historical issues. First, Scotland was faced with mass
emigration both in the 19th and 20th centuries. In the 19th century, a large percentage of Scotts were forced to leave their homeland. In the 20th
century, a large

The Kingdom Of God Essay
"Do to others as you would have them do to you. For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?"(Luke 6:31–32) What credit does one
truly receive from helping those who have always helped them, in what way does that benefit the community? Jesus asked this trivial question in an
attempt to relay the epitome of the Kingdom of God. Many spend a whole lifetime searching for meaning of what the Kingdom of God truly is, what
Jesus meant by his descriptions of the Kingdom. This passage comes across as helping others in a 21st century mindset, however, the cultural exclusion
the Jewish people presented to those outside of their community brings forth a much more impactful message. The Kingdom of God dwells in no
geographical place, holds no one ethnicity, and excludes no one. The Kingdom of God, in which Jesus' ministry based itself on, brings forth the idea of
an inclusive community during a time where the Jewish people were very exclusive. Cultural practices for a first century Jew depended upon a
collectivist culture giving the Jewish people their sense of honor. However, this honor stemmed from a much deeper collectivist mindset tying whole
families together through their kinship, religious purity, and their familial success. These factors caused Jews to exclude the sick, poor, and any other
deemed unfavorable by God outside of their community. Jesus' radical description of the Kingdom of God sought to bring forth social reform that

and is given the chance to go to the Holy Land to seek forgiveness for her sin by his long lost father Godfrey of Ibelin. This becomes his secondary
goal upon arriving in Jerusalem because soon after the start of their journey, Balian's father dies and passes on his legacy to Balian making him the

In fact, it is said that when Guy failed to attack the Muslims in 1183, Baldwin went into a fit of anger because he wanted them all dead. The movie
makes it seem as though Baldwin wanted to keep peace between the two groups but that was not true because really, he could not stand the Muslims
and would do almost anything to keep the Holy Land out of their hands.
When it comes to Saladin, the film makes it seem as though he was a man of tolerance and respect when in reality, he took pleasure in watching the
decapitation of hundreds of christen soldiers and civilians alike. Through out his time as ruler of the Muslims, Saladin Preached jihad(or holy war)
on the Christians and made it very clear that his goal was to take Jerusalem by force and kill all of the people living behind the walls and on the
surrounding lands. Saladin as he is portrayed in the film is a man who chooses to work together with the Christians to try to find a reasonable balance
between groups and holds them in high regard to himself.6 This is very far from any kind of truth at all.
I believe that this was such a big deal for groups when the movie came out because the film made it seem as though both men wanted a somewhat
peaceful solution to obtaining what they desired when in fact, that was the last thing they wanted. Both men were very respectable from what I can tell,

The Kingdoms Of Judah And Israel
The Kingdoms of Judah and Israel from ca. 922 to 586 BCE have a significant impact not only on the Jewish tradition, but also on the history of
Ancient Israel and its development, therefore it is important to discuss their political structure and influence. To discuss the political structure and
developments of this period modern scholars refer to as the divided monarchy in Ancient Israel, there must first be a discussion of the political and
religious factors that bring about the unification and later division of the tribes of Israel. In the Hebrew Bible, various tribes are depicted as
encompassing the land of Canaan prior to a time modern scholars refer to as the united monarchy, which refers to the rule of King Saul, David and
Solomon. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The inability of the three great powers of the time, Egypt, Assyria and Babylon, to exert influence over lesser entities such as the philistines greatly
contributed to their rise in power. The culmination of these events lead to a desire and almost obligation of political unification under a monarch for
the tribes of Israel because their internal weakness threatened their very existence. Nevertheless, contrary to the depiction in the Hebrew Bible, the
tribes appear to maintain a significant amount of autonomy during the monarchy, which leads to the demise of the small unified monarchy and the
development of two split kingdoms, Israel and Judah, that is found in I Kings 12. This is a result of increased demands and pressure from King
Solomon that would have escalated if his son Rehoboam came to power over the lands of Israel. However, many scholars such as Beth Alpert Nakhai,
attest that hints of disunity between Judah and other tribes were present through rebellions in David and Solomon's reigns. Therefore, leaders of the
various tribes elected to anoint a new king over their lands that would politically unite them enough to protect them from outside threats, while still
maintaining their relative autonomy over their own tribes, making the kingdom of Israel a dispersed state with various religious and political centers. On
the other hand, the kingdom of Judah maintained not only unity

Essay On The Three Kingdoms
One of the most well know historical periods of Ancient China is the era of the Three Kingdoms, which records the period to some of the most
well–known historical figures, heroes, and their complex yet intriguing relationships. The Three Kingdoms was a period of unrest, and battles which
initiated in 220AD, when Wei replaced the Eastern Han Dynasty, and lasted until the reunification of lands in 280AD. Towards the end of the Eastern
Han Dynasty, the emperor was losing power and influence, which led to the inability for Eastern Han to unite the whole land. At the same time, the
country was in anarchy as groups of warriors were uprising and rebelling against Eastern Han, proclaiming themselves emperor. However, these

The complex relations during the Three Kingdoms supressed the dominating country Wei from easily attacking and taking over the weaker ones, Shu
and Wu. This involves the two smaller, weaker countries joining forces to withstand the greater, and more powerful one. The outstanding generals',
leaders', and strategists' battles also aided each country to form strong ties and uphold their respective lands, while taking over other unclaimed/not
well–maintained lands. This bond between the Three Kingdoms has continued for a long time before the fall of each kingdoms, with Jin replacing
Wei, and merged all three into one large Kingdom. There are many factors that contributed to the disintegration of land following the end of the
Eastern Han Dynasty. Amongst which, the main reason was due to the chaos and uprising as feudal lords fought each other for territories. The court
ministers of late Eastern Han were corrupt, in particular Dong Zuo was considered one of the most corrupted, and manipulative officials of the time,
and was detested by citizens nationwide. This served as an excuse and motive for many lords to repel against the emperor, or restore Han

Kingdom Of Matthias Themes
In The Kingdom of Matthias by Paul E. Johnson and Sean Wilentz, the story follows the life of a man named Robert Matthews, who later bestows the
name of Matthias ("The Prophet") to himself. This book demonstrates important themes (and events) that are prevalent in the 19th century United
States, including the War of 1812, the Market Revolution, the Second Great Awakening, and more. More specifically, this story communicates and
reflects an exaggerated view of those subjects and how it affected Robert Matthews and Elijah Pierson. The American society during this time was
going through many advancements, including having a market–driven culture and the movement of women's independence. In The Kingdom of
Matthias, these ideas are obvious through the actions of Matthias and how he despised the changes in society and culture. His actions including treating
women poorly, attempting to start his own religious cult, and his fits of rage and insanity (which I believe are due mental illnesses and stress). These
changes in society caused a negative shift in many people's lives, including Robert Matthews/Matthias and Elijah Pierson; who also plays a key role in
the story of the cult, the "Kingdom." Once more, in The Kingdom of Matthias, it demonstrates many important U.S. themes of the 19th century in an
exaggerated manner.
Robert Matthews was born in 1788 to a Scots immigrant family, which lived in New York in a farming neighborhood called the Coila. The family was

The Underlying Theme in the Forbidden Kingdom Literary works entertain, convey a moral lesson, or acquaint their audiences with the knowledge of
a particular human condition (Bucks County Community College 1). Through their writings, authors bring various ideas and themes to bear. A theme
is perceivable as an underlying premise or idea in literary works or a film. Typical examples of such topics include repression, loneliness, struggle and
accomplishment, good and evil, free will, rebirth, and redemption. The film "The Forbidden Kingdom" brings the theme of redemption to the surface.
Redemption is perceivable as the act of rescuing people from evil or sin or making something better (Merriam–Webster). The redemption theme
emerges throughout the movie the Forbidden Kingdom. At the beginning of the movie, the audience is introduced to a young man, Jason Tripitikas,
who is infatuated with martial arts movies (YouTube). Jason is a friend to an aged adult called Hop. Hop helps Tripitikas calm his desire for
martial arts movies by supplying him with films at friendly prices. Additionally, Hop has a vast collection of ancient martial arts movies that he
avails to the young teenager whenever he wishes. This supposition is revealed when Jason makes a visit to Hop 's house at night, and he lets him in.
Redemption, in this context, is shown where Jason 's obsession with martial arts is calmed by a regular supply of his favorite films. Secondly, Hop's

Germany and the United Kingdom
Germany and the United Kingdom All countries in our world share many similarities and differences. This allows each country to learn from one
another's failures and successes. Two of the countries that have similar and different ways that they run their country is Germany and the United
Kingdom. These countries each have their own style of how they choose to run their countries. Both Germany and the United Kingdom are democracies
in the world, however they have many differences between the two. Germany has a constitution, simple branches of government, a complicated
electoral system, and interactive local government. On the other hand, the United Kingdom has no written constitution, a complex branches of
government, an intricate electoral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The political institutions in the United Kingdom are very different of those in Germany. The United Kingdom does not have a written constitution (The
British Constitution). This means that unlike Germany and the United States, the United Kingdom does not have a tangible paper that has the basic laws
and rights written down on them for all citizens. "The constitution is generally understood to include a number of written documents and unwritten
rules that most British citizens view as inviolable" (O'Neil, Fields, Share). The United Kingdom bases their constitution on documents that have
developed in the past. Power lies with Parliament in the United Kingdom, so without a written constitution, the people of the state truly do not get
much of a say. Therefore, from a political institution standpoint, these two countries could not be any more different from one another.
Branches of government vary from country to country. In Germany, there is a chancellor, a president, the Bundestag, and the Bundestrat. The
chancellor is in charge of the whole executive branch, and the president is just the chief of state (The British Constitution). The chancellor is also the
prime minister and runs basically everything in the government, while the president tends to just do a few important things, but does not make
important decisions. Germany has a bicameral legislature which includes

Comparing and contrasting crusades In the movie kingdom of heaven most of the characters were based on historically real people. Balian, Saladin,
Guy de Lusignan, Raynold de Chatillon, and King Baldwin were all real people, but what they did according to the movie isn't so much . So the
question is who were they really, and what's their significance compared to how the movie protruded them. Balian was born in the kingdom of
Jerusalem, also known as the holy land, around the 12th century. Unlike in the movie kingdom of heavens where Balian was shown living in a
poor village working as a blacksmith. Balian had first established recognition for himself when he played his key role in the Christian victory that
was very important over the invasion that was led by Saladin at Montgisard in 1177. This was the start to many more major battles for Balian. It
soon leads him to be a member of the High Court of Jerusalem. He also became the most powerful barons in the Kingdom of Jerusalem do to his

The Coming Kingdom Of Heaven
The coming kingdom that Jesus talks about is the main teaching of His ministry. There are several aspects to the kingdom of God, or the kingdom of
Heaven as Matthew says, which partly explains the ambiguity of this part of the passage. First, the Kingdom of God is present, beginning with Jesus'
reign on Earth (Ridderbos 649). The kingdom is also present through the church. Jesus just established Peter as the rock on which He would build
His church (Mt. 16.18). His journey to the cross is the beginning of the end of His mission on Earth, and when He is gone, the church will be God's
Kingdom on Earth. It is the church's responsibility to further the kingdom by preaching and making more disciples of all nations from all ends of the
earth (Mt. 16.19; Acts 1.8). Although His kingdom is present, it has not yet come in its full capacity. Jesus' return will bring the full Kingdom and all
of creation will be restored to a new and perfect state. To the Jews, the Kingdom of God was a "new covenant between God and his people, and peace
would obtain not only among all nations but throughout the whole creation, among all living things" (Hiers 528). His Kingdom is both present and yet
to come. Those who identify with Jesus are able to participate in His kingdom on Earth and obtain the rewards in the future.
Jesus' identity is central to the kingdom, and its mystery. The king will come as a slave faced with torment and humiliation (Ridderbos 649). Likewise,
the kingdom comes by way of the

Analysis Of Kingdom Of Heaven
Kingdom of Heaven argues that the human psyche plays an important part in the duty of people. At the beginning of the movie, Balian's wife
commits suicide which and the priest seeks to punish her father by cutting off her head. Later, Balian kills the priest in a fit of rage and decides that
he has to go to Jerusalem to seek redemption. Such a case illustrates that the psyche influences Balian who decides to go seek redemption for his sins.
While Balian was reluctant to follow Godfrey to his crusades in Jerusalem, it seems that the feelings of guilt finally make him move to Jerusalem. In
the movie, a majority of the characters are influenced by their religion. For example, Godfrey is convinced that he should travel to Jerusalem to fight ...

At some point, Balian states that "It is a kingdom of conscience or nothing." By saying this, Balian seems to argue that conscience, not religion, should
influence man's actions. During the movie, Godfrey also stated that Jerusalem was not in need of a perfect knight. Therefore, the filmmaker suggests
that conscience should guide man's duty. Therefore, Balian faults the Christians and the Muslims who want to claim Jerusalem due to their religious
duty. In fact, he rallies the people to fight, not for Christianity, but for everyone who lived within the walls of the city. At another point, Balian states
that people cannot defend their actions before God by what other people instructed them to do. Therefore, Balian states that the conscience is the only
acceptable guide for everybody's actions.
In conclusion, Kingdom of Heaven represents the duty of the Christians to defend the city of Jerusalem by appealing to their religious convictions and
the elements of the human psyche. The movie shows that many of the Europeans who traveled to Jerusalem were motivated by religious passion. For
example, Godfrey thinks that Jerusalem is the Holy Land, and urges Balian to follow him in the course. However, the movie also suggests that not all
people who participated in the Crusades were motivated by religious passion. For example, Balian travels to Jerusalem to escape prosecution after
killing the town priest. Furthermore, the movie shows that the Christian leaders in Jerusalem

What is the Kingdom of God

  • 1. Kingdom of God What exactly is "the kingdom of God?" How does one recognize the kingdom? Are you in the kingdom of God? So often, people search for the evidence of the kingdom of God rather than simply identifying it. In the present day, the stress is evasively put on works and actions rather than a personal relationship with God. Too many people fall into the trap of participating in as many activities as they can, living to have their good deeds noticed by others; however, the key point is entirely missed. It is the innermost intimate part of a person that divulges the power of an individual's life, not the actions. Jesus makes this clear in the book of Luke when he states, "The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed; nor will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This passage contrasts the present and the future magnificence of the kingdom, which is constantly growing. The kingdom of God includes everyone: the poor, the gentiles, the outcast, the oppressed, the women, Samaritans, tax collectors, the sick, and the sinners. Jesus states that "the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have good news brought to them" (Lk. 7:22). If you take this out of the context of which it was written and it may not seem like a very big deal that some of these groups of people would be included in the kingdom of God, but in reality, Jesus caused a lot of controversy through focusing on these neglected and oppressed people. The possession of illnesses and sin created a greater sense of desperation within the people, this allowed more room for grace to abound in their lives and explains the reason why miracles took place in their lives more often than the rich and prestigious upper class. A significant aspect of Jesus' teaching was setting people free from sin and giving them dominion over evil (Drane 149). Jesus constantly breaks down social barriers and places heavy emphasis on going against the social boundaries that separate the people. Jesus completely redefines the role of Jewish women, which Luke draws special attention to this throughout his book. In the Bible, women were of little to no value. They were ... • 2. Ambassador Of The United Kingdom Introduction Good afternoon. I am grateful to Chancellor Rt. Hon. the Lord Patten of Barnes, Vice Chancellor Professor Andrew Hamilton and indeed the entire leadership of this great University for extending an invitation to have me speak here today. I have spoken at many places but engaging any form of audience at the prestigious Oxford University is something that I really have to place on my curriculum vitae. I am also grateful to the US Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Mathew Barzun and his family for the warmth they have shown me since I got to the United Kingdom and for being present at this function. Ambassador Barzun's pace–setting involvement with the internet especially at its early stage is something that I have for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These issues include shutdowns, ratifications and the war powers act. I will then provide some advice to today's political leaders and even future political leaders. However, before that I will like to set briefly the ball rolling with my personal history. Personal History I was born in January, 1939 in Rosemont, a small village in Maryland of a few hundred people. My father was a World War I veteran and my mother a sort of teacher, running some version of a reading school for the kids in the community. 1939 means I was born in the same year that the Second World War began and that earned me the nickname "the baby's that's getting his father to go to another war". However, my father developed a terminal illness that meant that his participation in World War 2 would only be to explain the essence and likely ramification of reported war incidents and statements to myself and my four siblings. Inspired by my father's war stories especially those that detailed the extent that many American soldiers would go to defend their country, and also by the earlyCold War politicking, I enrolled in the US Naval Academy and passed out in 1955. At the time, the Cold War was at its height and as was more than likely at the time, I fought in the Vietnam War in the 1960s. The Vietnam period was when my father's World War 1 tales and dissections of World War 2 actions became most alive to me. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Currency Of The United Kingdom In the current global economy, US Corporations are able to expand outside of its national border to trade with and invest in foreign companies. These international business dealings open domestic companies to more business opportunities, but also require more sophisticated knowledge of foreign economies, cultures, and policies. In particular, business must be aware of how the US dollar relates to the foreign business' functional currency. In a market where exchange rates fluctuate daily, risk related to the foreign exchange rate must be considered. The chart above represents the average monthly exchange rates for the last thirteen months between the US Dollar and the British Pound and Euro. The British Pound is the currency of the United Kingdom. The Euro is the common currency of the European Union, with nineteen of the twenty–eight current member countries using the Euro (Wheeler & Hunt, 2016). The exchange rate is shown using direct rates based on an average of the daily noon buying rates compiled by The Federal Reserve. A direct exchange rate shows the number of US Dollars needed to purchase one unit of the foreign currency (Hamlen, Huefner, & Largay, 2015). For example, according to The Federal Reserve website in February 2016, an average of 1.4290 USD were needed to purchase one British Pound and 1.1092 USD were needed to purchase one Euro. Since the United Kingdom is one of the member countries of the European Union, one might expect the currency exchange rates to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The United Kingdom In the United Kingdom, a census was taken every 10 years starting from 1801. With the exception of 1941 due to the Second World War, the census kept a very good idea of the current population and assisted in predicting futures sizes. Population data for years prior to the census was provided from directories and gazetteers as many churches took number on the size of its inhabitants. Estimated in the 1500s, Scotland had a population of 500,000 persons, and according to the 2011 census, the country has reached an extraordinary 5,295,000 persons. As of 2012, the birth rate was 11 births/1,000 people and a death rate of 10.5 deaths/1,000 people – this suggests that the population growth is rather relaxed since almost as many are born and die ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ratio of male to female has roughly been the same for the last seventy years, in favor of the females– 51%:49%. Divided amongst three age groups, Scotland has split the population by work–status; 17% aged under 16 (unable to work full–time), 65% aged 16–64 (potentially full–time workers) and 18% aged 65 and over (retirees). Furthermore, the end–tail of the retiree column has been growing in recent times as the number of males over 100 years of age has more than doubled between the years of 2003 and 2013. Formerly only 60 persons reached this age in a generation have now escalated to 130 males. The females, starting off substantially higher than the males, have risen as well. In 2003, there were 470 females over the age of 100 in a single generation. That number is now 720 during the same period as the 130 males. Obviously on a global scale, developed nations are living longer due to better health, better lifestyles and also medical assistance. These figures do not go into detail whether these men and women are free or are in a vegetative state, being kept alive via machine. Although not the main reason why the nation's older population is living longer, it is certainly a contributing factor that Scotland 's leading causes of death– including cancer, coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke– are declining and stem from the impact of lifestyle ... • 5. United Kingdom Diversity Founded in 1776, the United States is the third most populated country in the world. With 308,745,538 citizens, as of 2010, you could imagine the diversity. Well, what about the United Kingdom? With a much lower population than the United States, the United Kingdom is twenty –first in the populace with 63,182,000 citizens, as of 2011. Because they have a smaller population than the United States, does that mean they have a lower diversity also? What are some of the differences in demographics between the nations? Let's talk about race. In the United States, a census from 2010 shows that 72.4% of people are White, 12.6% are Black, 4.8% are Asian. • 6. God's Kingdom : My Understanding Of The Kingdom Of God My understanding of God's kingdom, is that God is the creator of everything, and He is the ruler over everything. His plan for His kingdom is being carried out in all of creation. Since the beginning of creation, He has been in control. The Kingdom of God is all around us in the world. He has given us His word through the bible, and we can see in the bible how He has a plan. He has carried out His plan in the past, and is still carrying out His plan today. In the Bible, it mentions a lot about the Kingdom of God. God is the King over all the earth, and heaven. If God is our king, then we are His servants, and must do His will here on earth until He comes again. Ways to do His will on earth is to follow howJesus lived. He was a servant, and wanted to show love to others. He loved the world so much he died on the cross to save us from our sins. Sometimes I struggle with the fact that the world is so full of sin. There are so many bad things happening in the world today, and that have happened in the past. It is hard to deal with the fact that God would let such bad things go on for so long. There are so many people in need, in the world today. I hadn't really thought about it until we had to watch the video showing the mission of St Francis Inn. I think that they were showing God's love by serving the homeless with respect. They provided meals and let them sit at tables like a restaurant. Seeing and hearing their stories, shows just how much suffering there is in the world ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. God And The Kingdom Of God Jesus came proclaiming the gospel of God and the Kingdom of God. But many of his disciples, like John the Baptist, did not envision the Kingdom of God for themselves nor the Kingdom miraculously coming from Heaven. "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe in the gospel." (Mark 1:14–15, ESV.) The phrase "Kingdom of God" is the centerpiece of Jesus' teachings and is found in his unique way of speaking about God's kingship. The arrival of the Kingdom of God did not mean the end of the world or the destruction of Israel's enemies. Jesus then said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with the things that can be observed; nor will they say, "Look , here it is!" Or "There is is!" For in fact, the kingdom of God is among you." (Luke 17:20,21) The Kingdom of God was based upon inclusive solidarity of human race. Ir is involved with the idea of covenant – bringing together two parties by a solemn, unbreakable oath. It is a spiritual place in the hearts of men and women and it will find its fulfillment in the eventual rule of God and defeat all evil. Those people, who chose to belong to God's kingdom and serve Him, are those who are destined to have eternal life in God's presence. (Christian Bible Site) We know that this Kingdom of God is not with a man; it is something within which man can live. It is the God's people in God's place under God's rule. It is the final establishment of the new heavens and the new earth. One day the Pharisees ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kingdom Of Israel Essay Following the United Monarchy separating into two different nations the Kingdom of Israel, sometimes referred to as Samaria, existed with nineteen kings for two–hundred and seven years from 928 to 721BC. Consisting of ten of the twelve tribes – Reuben, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Ash, Ephraim and Manasseh. The Kingdom of Israel became weakened after the breakup of the United Monarchy which the Egyptians take advantage of in 925BC when they invaded and made the Kingdom of Israel a vassal nation of Egypt followed by the Kingdom of Ammon which gains its independence from the Kingdom of Israel. • 9. The Kingdom : My Understanding Of The Kingdom Of God My story inside of God's story is just a small part of his creation, but it is important. God's story is what is most important. I am just one of the lucky human beings who gets to live in his kingdom. In this paper, I am going to talk about my understanding of God's Kingdom, what I have a hard time understanding about the Kingdom of God, and how I am dealing with those questions. I am also going to talk about what are the demanding needs in the Kingdom of God today. To my understanding, the kingdom is Christ's reign of grace in the hearts of his people. It is everything he has created. Therefore, everything but himself is part of his kingdom. This kingdom is ruled by a King. The King is God, or Jesus Christ. The King exercises his rule in the hearts of his elect people, and has authority over their lives. He reigns in our hearts by his grace. God is a spirit and therefore his kingdom is spiritual. The citizens of his kingdom are the elect in Christ alone. They are not of this world, but are of God. God has been preparing this kingdom from before the elect people were even born. Christ's kingdom has come in our hearts, but is not yet complete. God put us on this earth to rule it, as well as service him. Our service to him is to help his creation flourish and bring Shalom to his kingdom. The kingdom of darkness continues to seek a way in our heart. That is the kingdom that we were born into. Therefore, there is constantly war in our hearts between these two kingdoms. In the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

First of all, the Kingdom Keepers are five kids who were chosen to be DHIs (Disney Host Interactives). Secretly, the Disney Imagineers programmed the DHIs so that the human would become their DHI when they fall asleep and wake up in the Magic Kingdom to defeat the evil group of brigands called Overtakers. The Overtakers are Disney villains that try to usurp the park. The Kingdom Keepers incapacitated Maleficent, the sub–leader of the Overtakers, and locked her up. The five Kingdom Keepers, Finn, Willa, Charlene, Philby, and Maybeck, are on a float in a parade for the celebration of the return of the DHIs in the Magic Kingdom when ... Then, they use the clues from Jez's dreams drawn in the diary to find her, and one they find in the park leads them to believe that Jez escaped. • 11. Analysis Of Kingdom Of Heaven Regardless of how one feels about Kingdom of Heaven in terms of its quality, the film undoubtedly takes a unique approach in its portrayal of the crusades. Although some critics have bemoaned the film for its historical inaccuracies and the way in which it presents Islam, such detractors are excessively dogmatic in their baseless scrutiny. In addition to their assessment of Kingdom of Heaven being unfounded, they fail to understand one of the broader notions expressed, which is the view that morality is not black and white: individuals are capable of doing both good and evil. This key theme shown throughout the movie is especially compelling since it not only applies to the Crusades but also to the modern world. Throughout the movie, the director, Ridley Scott, emphasizes the complex moral landscape of the Crusades to enhance the quality of the story. As best put by Peter Stanford in his review, "Kingdom of Heaven is, however, no run–of–the–mill variation on the popular theme of the historical thriller... Instead, Scott has directed a complex modern morality play" (Stanford, "Screen god"). One way he blurs the moral lines is the way in which he presents the force invading Jerusalem. Scott could have taken the easy route and made the Muslim invaders the stereotypical evil villains of the film. Instead, he presents the audience with a more nuanced view; even though the Muslim leader, Saladin, does try to violently conquer the city of Jerusalem, he is also merciful. He sends ... • 12. Descriptive Magic Kingdom All around there were children with bright smiles full of excitement and tugging at their parents' shirts saying, "Let's go see that!" This place is the most magical place on earth: Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The days were scorching hot, but it often rained so, I could get the cooling sensation of rain washing the sweat off my body. Disney World consists of four parks, but the best is by far the one known as theMagic Kingdom. It made me feel as if I am royalty. When I first walked into the Magic Kingdom, there was a walk way called Main Street, U.S.A. I saw a barber shop, a theater, clothing shops containing Mickey Mouse attire, and art galleries filled with aesthetic art. The Hall of Presidents was located in the theatre. It had realistic wax figures of every President sitting on a stage all together with a short show depicting events that happened during some of the Presidents' lifetime. While taking a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A, I smelled the fresh aroma of hot–dogs and bakery items such as sweet, scrumptious apple pies. Taking the path straight down Main Street, U.S.A, I saw the beautiful Cinderella Castle surrounded by the vast diversity of flowers and their vivid colors. Cinderella's Castle was as tall as the Eiffel Tower. It had lovely architecture and was painted with beautiful blue and white colors. Once I passed by Cinderella's Castle, I spotted a place entitled Frontierland with rustic, old looking buildings. There were a variety of commodities to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Response: The Kingdom Of Heaven Biren Rai HIST133 Response: The Kingdom of Heaven Saladin in this film is portrayed as someone who is ruthless in battle but overall an understanding and reasonable man. He does a lot of thinking and strategic planning before the war or any activities concerning the war, which is shown by the way he emphasis the reasons for winning wars (preparation rather than just by the blessings of god). However, he is determined to finish once he enters the battle. • 14. Southern Kingdom Causes INTRODUCTION The Southern Kingdom is said to have been exiled by the Babylonians. In this essay one would seek to focus on tracing the causes that led to the exile of the Southern kingdom. But before I begin, I would explain, first– how the divided kingdom came about? Second– what the Southern Kingdom here means? Third– what an exile is and what led to the causes of the exile of southern kingdom? And finally– the Conclusion. First, the Divided Kingdom. From studies, the Old Testament and other sources have it that not long after the reign of Saul, David, and Solomon the Kingdom of Israel was divided into two kingdoms. Despite warnings from many prophets, both kingdoms repeatedly turn from God. The Divided Kingdom, of the South and North, period follows the continuing story of Scripture in the books of 1 Kings (chapters 11–22) and 2 Kings. And this period is recounted in three acts: the division of the kingdom, the resulting northern kingdom (which takes "Israel"), and the resulting southern kingdom (which takes the name "Judah."). Assyria and Babylon force the divided kingdoms into exile. Jerusalem and the Temple are destroyed. Second, the Southern Kingdom. The Southern Kingdom (Judah) is one of the divided kingdom after the reign of King Solomon's United Kingdom ruled by king Rehoboam. According to J. T. Stevenson (2000), the Southern Kingdom begins with the promise of kingship from the line of Judah, which had a long tradition, going back all the way to the prophecy of ... • 15. The Coming Of The Kingdom Guides Ridderbos' The Coming of the Kingdom guides us through the lens of the Scripture alone that we must grasp God's kingdom to have a Theocentric view that The Kingdom is truly God's and not man centered. The kingdom is not a condition of society to produce a social Gospel. Too often it is forgotten that God's kingdom is truly about God. When we ask ourselves or others what God's kingdom will be like, common thoughts are, what it will be like for myself? How will I experience Heaven? Additionally, we can discern a sense of an individual's attitude towards Heaven by the way of their approach to worship. Is worship primarily for God or is it mostly a personal experience? Hopefully, we will lead the worship of God and a mindset that we corporately serve Him. The real focus is not for ourselves from our own perspective, but an attempt to comprehend what we can from God's view in Scripture in the hope of doing what is pleasing to Him. Having said that, our experience shall be peace, happiness beyond compare and a blessedness being with God. Ridderbos instructs us of how God is being revealed, an example is in Isaiah 40–55 and particularly Is. 40:9. In verse 9, vividly striking is the thought of exclamation, Behold your God or Here is your God. Perhaps this is accurately captured by the thought of going to a mountain with a mighty shout to tell the towns of Judah here is your God! It is the same call we make evangelistically today. The kingdom of Heaven is the kingdom of God, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. The Kingdom Of The Lord My life story may seem like it truly began with Jon and start to end with Jon. However, our stories do not end there. We as followers of Christ are called to further His kingdom. In those moments we are called we may not always see the deeper meaning beyond the call. We do not always see the needs of people around us and there is always this lurking question of how we can further his kingdom. We, as individuals, see furthering God's kingdom in different ways. Some may see it as going abroad and telling people about Christ. Some may see it as purely doing the Lord work, such as taking care of kids, painting for an elderly couple, or even raking leaves. Whichever way you look at it both ways are furthering the kingdom of the Lord. We can also see the Kingdom of God through the body of believers. We together as Christians make up the body of believers. The Body of believers are put on earth to bring those who do not believe to Christ. God will bring us severity to a hurting world. There are many different way the scripture displays the Lord's Kingdom. We see the Kingdom become a vision in the New Testament in places such as Romans 14:17 ("For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,"), Mark 10:15 "Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."), and 1 Corinthians 15:50 ("I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot ... • 17. Kingdom Of Heaven Analysis The movie "Kingdom of Heaven" tries to portray the crusades that occurred in the 12th century while at the same time describing the middle age era. Some of the movie content contains truth of that period as well as fiction. The movie follows Balian of Ibelin and his journey from being a blacksmith to defender of Jerusalem. Although the movie has manipulated some of the real events to appeal to a broader audience, make it more Hollywood like, it does a decent job in portraying the battle over Jerusalem and some of the circumstances around it. The church played a significant role during the middle ages. In fact, the church reached the height of its power in the high middle ages: the 11th, 12th, 13th centuries. It was during this period that the crusade battles occurred. The movie tries to portray the events that led to one of the battles, the Battle of Hattin 1187. The idea that "God wills war" was apparent in both the movie and real life. Crusaders became consumed with fighting and killing the Muslims which was clear in Guy de Lusignan and Reynald de Chatilon actions. On the other hand, Baldwin and Balian, in the movie, represented the crusaders who wanted to maintain a peaceful relationship between the Muslims and the Christians. Another concept that appears in the movie that is linked to reality is the ideas of becoming a crusader in order to repent your sins. One of the main reason why Balian became a crusader is to repent his sin, of killing a priest, and his wife ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 18. The Parable Of The Kingdom Of God We live in a world of pain and sorrow. We suffer every day from the sin of the world, but there is hope in this hopeless world. The Kingdom of God is our hope and our happiness. Describe. The Kingdom of God is here and it is coming. It is within you and always there. The Kingdom of God is coming but only through Jesus Christ. In Matthew 13 there are different parables that explain the Kingdom of God through an ordinary story. In the parable of the Sower and the Seed, it paints a picture about how not all will receive the Kingdom of God. The parable of the weeds shows that good and evil coexist in the Kingdom of God. In the parable of the mustard seed, it talks about how the Kingdom of God is still growing and will continue growing. In the parable of the fishnet, it explains that in the end the good will make it to the Kingdom of God, but those who are bad or evil will be thrown away. The Kingdom of God is many things. In our lifetime, we seem to get glimpses of the Kingdom of God in the things that we do. These glimpses are described as fully alive moments. Every fully alive moment is different for every person. One of those moments could be praising God in song in church or in chapel. That moment you are seeing and you feel the Holy Spirit is there and it makes you feel so warm and fuzzy inside. Other moments are, mission trips or YU trips when we see the power of God in what we do for that week. These little glimpses of the Kingdom of God make us excited to ... However, studies show that those who live in the U.K only use about 33 gallons of water every day. This doesn't mean that people in theUnited Kingdom are less sanitary. Water pressure is lower, toilets don't use as much to flush, and people are more conscious of how they use their resources. Another environmental detail I noticed in the U.K was the lack of litter on the ground, whereas in the U.S I find litter almost everywhere. How much waste and litter do you see floating around when you walk through your city or drive to the grocery store? People toss garbage onto the floor intentionally and accidentally all the time! You see gum wrappers, plastic bags, sometimes shoes just laying around. You'll see them on the street, alongside the highway, in a park. Euroscepticism in the UK is the distrust and scepticism of the relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Union and is considered a controversial and important concept in British Politics. This increase in Euroscepticism in the UK has contributed to an EU referendum on the 23rd June 2016, during which the United Kingdom will either decide to continue as a member state or to leave the European Union. Euroscepticism within the United Kingdom is an increasingly relevant topic. I am going to explore why Euroscepticism is on the rise in the United Kingdom and what those contributing factors are. Firstly, I will clarify the history of the relationship between the UK and the EU, and how Euroscepticism is not a new phenomenon. I will then explain what the contributing factors to rising Euroscepticism in the UK are in the following order; the importance of Britain's sovereignty and independence, the Eurosceptic nature of the British media, increasing immigration issues and terrorism threats, and the rise of anti–European political parties. Euroscepticism within the United Kingdom Since the establishment of the European Union, the United Kingdom has always seemed to be one of the more sceptic member states of the organisation. • 24. The Kingdom Of God Essay In this paper, I will examine the key theme within Jesus' ministry which is his proclamation of the Kingdom (or reign) of God. In order to grasp the significance and meaning of this promulgation, I will begin by explaining why many scholars believe that the Kingdom of God is the central theme within Jesus' message and ministry. Then I will explore eight significant aspects of the Kingdom of God that help to elucidate this phrase. After looking at these various facets of the kingdom, I will conclude with a brief explanation of why this theme is so important to understanding Jesus and his ministry. The initial question that needs to be addressed is: why do many scholars think that the proclamation of the Kingdom of God is the key theme of Jesus' message and ministry? For many scholars, Jesus' ministry derives its meaning and serves only one particular function which is to proclaim God's final reign and kingdom. Scholars are very confident about this theme's centrality because of the numerous occurrences within Jesus' sayings about the Kingdom of God. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus employs three different and inter–changeable expressions to talk about God's reign which is: the "Kingdom of Heaven," the "Kingdom of God," and the "Kingdom of my Father." These references to God's reign can be found either implicitly or explicitly in Jesus' "parables, prayer, beatitudes, eschatological prophecies, [and] miracle stories." Still they continued to walk along the gravel roads, seemingly unaware of the looming phantom of absolute destruction that shrouded itself within the unsuspecting crossroads that divided the city. It was not your typical tale of two cities, in fact to call these two cities was an insult to the efforts that were taken to distinguish these two powerful kingdoms, distinguishable factors that could only be ascertained from within as any third party who were to travel between the two mighty nations would believe them to be one in the same. Only through distinctive circumstance could the kingdoms be perceived as separate, even their oblivious gravel roads and the people who strolled along them were strikingly similar The aforementioned circumstances were manifested solely from a traveler 's interaction with the two kingdoms, the sense of hospitality and the lack thereof was what segmented them as if they were kingdoms of night and day. The Kingdom Of God : The Kingdom of God To understand the kingdom of God that was central to the teaching and preaching of Jesus, it's important to first grasp that God intended to rule the world through His human children from the start. He meant for us to be His hands and feet since the beginning of creation, mirroring His image in every way. The cancellation of this plan happened the moment the parents of mankind became victims of satan's temptation. The Old Testament documents the fall, and the struggle of God's people from that moment on. It contains the promises of God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the predictions of a kingdom through a multitude of prophets, and the inhumane rebellions against God. Obedience to the law seemed to come in short–lived spurts as generation upon generation repeatedly strayed into the darkness and away from God. They resorted to violence and corruption and were afflicted by spiritual blindness, all the while waiting on God to fulfill His promise and avenge their hardships. Yet they also perceived God as too big, too fearful, and too threatening for them to believe His intentional love and care for them, and eventually, He saw the need to execute plan B; Operation Christmas child. • 28. Study Of The United Kingdom For the writing assignment this semester, I decided to study the United Kingdom. I chose this country primarily because of Scotland and Ireland's historical prevalence in agriculture. Both countries have a substantial amount of arable land and as such are important to agriculture. Additionally, when people talk about beautiful, fertile land they typically bring up both of these countries. Therefore, I am interested in studying the agricultural significance of the region. In order to have a thorough understanding of the agricultural position in Scotland, it is essential that the demographic for the country is clearly laid out. According to the Scotland 's Census, a website detailing demographic information about Scotland, the population of Scotland in 2011 was 5.3 million. This value was the highest recorded in Scotland whose population is currently increasing at a rate of approximately 0.49% annually. However, there has been increased concern for Scotland due to the fact that their population is steadily aging. There are currently 311 out of every 1000 citizens that are at a pensionable age. The Scottish government expects this number to increase to 397 by 2039. Scottish populations have struggled until most recently in history. This is due to a few different historical issues. First, Scotland was faced with mass emigration both in the 19th and 20th centuries. In the 19th century, a large percentage of Scotts were forced to leave their homeland. For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?"(Luke 6:31–32) What credit does one truly receive from helping those who have always helped them, in what way does that benefit the community? Jesus asked this trivial question in an attempt to relay the epitome of the Kingdom of God. Many spend a whole lifetime searching for meaning of what the Kingdom of God truly is, what Jesus meant by his descriptions of the Kingdom. This passage comes across as helping others in a 21st century mindset, however, the cultural exclusion the Jewish people presented to those outside of their community brings forth a much more impactful message. The Kingdom of God dwells in no geographical place, holds no one ethnicity, and excludes no one. The Kingdom of God, in which Jesus' ministry based itself on, brings forth the idea of an inclusive community during a time where the Jewish people were very exclusive. Cultural practices for a first century Jew depended upon a collectivist culture giving the Jewish people their sense of honor. However, this honor stemmed from a much deeper collectivist mindset tying whole families together through their kinship, religious purity, and their familial success. These factors caused Jews to exclude the sick, poor, and any other deemed unfavorable by God outside of their community. The Kingdoms Of Judah And Israel The Kingdoms of Judah and Israel from ca. 922 to 586 BCE have a significant impact not only on the Jewish tradition, but also on the history of Ancient Israel and its development, therefore it is important to discuss their political structure and influence. To discuss the political structure and developments of this period modern scholars refer to as the divided monarchy in Ancient Israel, there must first be a discussion of the political and religious factors that bring about the unification and later division of the tribes of Israel. In the Hebrew Bible, various tribes are depicted as encompassing the land of Canaan prior to a time modern scholars refer to as the united monarchy, which refers to the rule of King Saul, David and Solomon. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The inability of the three great powers of the time, Egypt, Assyria and Babylon, to exert influence over lesser entities such as the philistines greatly contributed to their rise in power. The culmination of these events lead to a desire and almost obligation of political unification under a monarch for the tribes of Israel because their internal weakness threatened their very existence. Nevertheless, contrary to the depiction in the Hebrew Bible, the tribes appear to maintain a significant amount of autonomy during the monarchy, which leads to the demise of the small unified monarchy and the development of two split kingdoms, Israel and Judah, that is found in I Kings 12. This is a result of increased demands and pressure from King Solomon that would have escalated if his son Rehoboam came to power over the lands of Israel. However, many scholars such as Beth Alpert Nakhai, attest that hints of disunity between Judah and other tribes were present through rebellions in David and Solomon's reigns. Therefore, leaders of the various tribes elected to anoint a new king over their lands that would politically unite them enough to protect them from outside threats, while still maintaining their relative autonomy over their own tribes, making the kingdom of Israel a dispersed state with various religious and political centers. • 34. Kingdom Of Matthias Themes In The Kingdom of Matthias by Paul E. Johnson and Sean Wilentz, the story follows the life of a man named Robert Matthews, who later bestows the name of Matthias ("The Prophet") to himself. This book demonstrates important themes (and events) that are prevalent in the 19th century United States, including the War of 1812, the Market Revolution, the Second Great Awakening, and more. More specifically, this story communicates and reflects an exaggerated view of those subjects and how it affected Robert Matthews and Elijah Pierson. The American society during this time was going through many advancements, including having a market–driven culture and the movement of women's independence. In The Kingdom of Matthias, these ideas are obvious through the actions of Matthias and how he despised the changes in society and culture. His actions including treating women poorly, attempting to start his own religious cult, and his fits of rage and insanity (which I believe are due mental illnesses and stress). These changes in society caused a negative shift in many people's lives, including Robert Matthews/Matthias and Elijah Pierson; who also plays a key role in the story of the cult, the "Kingdom." Once more, in The Kingdom of Matthias, it demonstrates many important U.S. themes of the 19th century in an exaggerated manner. Themes Of The Forbidden Kingdom Name: Profesor: Subject: Date The Underlying Theme in the Forbidden Kingdom Literary works entertain, convey a moral lesson, or acquaint their audiences with the knowledge of a particular human condition (Bucks County Community College 1). Typical examples of such topics include repression, loneliness, struggle and accomplishment, good and evil, free will, rebirth, and redemption. Additionally, Hop has a vast collection of ancient martial arts movies that he avails to the young teenager whenever he wishes. This supposition is revealed when Jason makes a visit to Hop 's house at night, and he lets him in. Redemption, in this context, is shown where Jason 's obsession with martial arts is calmed by a regular supply of his favorite films. Secondly, Hop's ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Germany and the United Kingdom Germany and the United Kingdom All countries in our world share many similarities and differences. This allows each country to learn from one another's failures and successes. Two of the countries that have similar and different ways that they run their country is Germany and the United Kingdom. These countries each have their own style of how they choose to run their countries. Both Germany and the United Kingdom are democracies in the world, however they have many differences between the two. Germany has a constitution, simple branches of government, a complicated electoral system, and interactive local government. On the other hand, the United Kingdom has no written constitution, a complex branches of government, an intricate electoral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The political institutions in the United Kingdom are very different of those in Germany. The United Kingdom does not have a written constitution (The British Constitution). This means that unlike Germany and the United States, the United Kingdom does not have a tangible paper that has the basic laws and rights written down on them for all citizens. "The constitution is generally understood to include a number of written documents and unwritten rules that most British citizens view as inviolable" (O'Neil, Fields, Share). The United Kingdom bases their constitution on documents that have developed in the past. Power lies with Parliament in the United Kingdom, so without a written constitution, the people of the state truly do not get much of a say. Therefore, from a political institution standpoint, these two countries could not be any more different from one another. Branches of government vary from country to country. In Germany, there is a chancellor, a president, the Bundestag, and the Bundestrat. The chancellor is in charge of the whole executive branch, and the president is just the chief of state (The British Constitution). The chancellor is also the prime minister and runs basically everything in the government, while the president tends to just do a few important things, but does not make important decisions. Germany has a bicameral legislature which includes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. The Coming Kingdom Of Heaven The coming kingdom that Jesus talks about is the main teaching of His ministry. There are several aspects to the kingdom of God, or the kingdom of Heaven as Matthew says, which partly explains the ambiguity of this part of the passage. First, the Kingdom of God is present, beginning with Jesus' reign on Earth (Ridderbos 649). The kingdom is also present through the church. Jesus just established Peter as the rock on which He would build His church (Mt. 16.18). His journey to the cross is the beginning of the end of His mission on Earth, and when He is gone, the church will be God's Kingdom on Earth. It is the church's responsibility to further the kingdom by preaching and making more disciples of all nations from all ends of the earth (Mt. 16.19; Acts 1.8). Although His kingdom is present, it has not yet come in its full capacity. Jesus' return will bring the full Kingdom and all of creation will be restored to a new and perfect state. To the Jews, the Kingdom of God was a "new covenant between God and his people, and peace would obtain not only among all nations but throughout the whole creation, among all living things" (Hiers 528). His Kingdom is both present and yet to come. Those who identify with Jesus are able to participate in His kingdom on Earth and obtain the rewards in the future. Jesus' identity is central to the kingdom, and its mystery. The king will come as a slave faced with torment and humiliation (Ridderbos 649). Likewise, the kingdom comes by way of the ... • 39. Analysis Of Kingdom Of Heaven Kingdom of Heaven argues that the human psyche plays an important part in the duty of people. At the beginning of the movie, Balian's wife commits suicide which and the priest seeks to punish her father by cutting off her head. Later, Balian kills the priest in a fit of rage and decides that he has to go to Jerusalem to seek redemption. Such a case illustrates that the psyche influences Balian who decides to go seek redemption for his sins. While Balian was reluctant to follow Godfrey to his crusades in Jerusalem, it seems that the feelings of guilt finally make him move to Jerusalem. In the movie, a majority of the characters are influenced by their religion. For example, Godfrey is convinced that he should travel to Jerusalem to fight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At some point, Balian states that "It is a kingdom of conscience or nothing." By saying this, Balian seems to argue that conscience, not religion, should influence man's actions. During the movie, Godfrey also stated that Jerusalem was not in need of a perfect knight. Therefore, the filmmaker suggests that conscience should guide man's duty. Therefore, Balian faults the Christians and the Muslims who want to claim Jerusalem due to their religious duty. In fact, he rallies the people to fight, not for Christianity, but for everyone who lived within the walls of the city. At another point, Balian states that people cannot defend their actions before God by what other people instructed them to do. Therefore, Balian states that the conscience is the only acceptable guide for everybody's actions. In conclusion, Kingdom of Heaven represents the duty of the Christians to defend the city of Jerusalem by appealing to their religious convictions and the elements of the human psyche. The movie shows that many of the Europeans who traveled to Jerusalem were motivated by religious passion. For example, Godfrey thinks that Jerusalem is the Holy Land, and urges Balian to follow him in the course. However, the movie also suggests that not all people who participated in the Crusades were motivated by religious passion. For example, Balian travels to Jerusalem to escape prosecution after killing the town priest. Furthermore, the movie shows that the Christian leaders in Jerusalem ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
