Fungi are eukaryotic organisms with cell walls containing chitin that come in several types including mushrooms, yeasts, and molds. Their body structure is made of filamentous hyphae, which are branching threads that may be multicellular or coenocytic. The hyphae intertwine and form a tangled web known as mycelium, which absorbs nutrients and water for the fungus.

2. What is a Fungus? What is a Fungus?A fungus is a member of the large group Eukaryotic. Eukaryotic is an organism whose cells contain complex structures, enclosed with membranes. What makes a fungus different from anything else is they have cell walls containing Chitin. Types of Fungi-Basidomycota- mushrooms, rusts and smuts-Ascomycota- sac fungi, yeast-Glomeromycota- arbuscular, mycorrhizal-Zygomycota- bread molds-Blastocladiomycota-Chytridomycota-Neocalimastigomycota

3. Body Structure Body Structure of FungusFungi are unicellular, this is also known as filamentous. The filamentous fungal body is called mycelium and each filament has a hypa, or hyphae. Hyphae have cells with one or more nuclei or coenocytic, which means they lack cell walls. Hyphae is the line branching threads in the fungi cap containing the nuclei. Mycelium is the tangled web, usually found more in the ground. This helps gives the Fungi nutrients and water.
