The Party Exited the Courtyard
Minister Mike's party included Skylar, Ethan, Mr Pisher and a meager handful of the remaining students each of whom tolerated the midday sun as they
walked single–file around the massive Palace structure. The once magnificent lush grounds had turned into withering vegetation. Water was scarce.
The new Government could not afford this luxurious expensive. Those who lived in the region did not know why the devoted groundskeepers had
recently abandoned their post. Soon, it would become evident as Minister Mike's party continued around Egyptian style Palace.
The Babylon summer Palace was shaped in a U design, so when Minister Mike saw the balcony above the first wing; he noticed Giselle by herself
clutching the railing. She looked nauseated. He wanted to say something. However, Mike felt it best to leave her alone.
Mike did not see Daniel ducking behind the balcony French door.
The Minister's party rounded the Palace. There they strolled into the three–sided courtyard. Marble terraced steps leaded from an Olympic–size
swimming pool to the main residence level. The scale of the Saddam's Babylon Palace would rival those in Europe; mounted above the Babylon ruins,
it was easy to imagine the grand parties hosted poolside.
Now a drained pool sat eroding with desert debris. The diving board was scattered from its mountings. It gave an eerie appearance to the dismal Palace
grounds.
Skylar ascended the steps into the pool, and turn back to the Minister. She mimicked a

House Flies Research Paper
Ah summer! The sun is shining, you're stepping out to the back deck with a plate of burgers ready to go on the grill and as you head out the door
you've instantly got four flies flicking around your face. Yuck! Flies love the heat of summer which is why they are more in–your–face this time of
year. As house flies can spread diseases through the germs they are carrying on their legs, it is important you tackle this pest problem before it
becomes the plot of a bad movie. Here are three ways you can beat back these winged insects from your back door. Outside Fly Attractions After
you've finished off eating that freshly grilled burger, it is time to head back outside to try and determine whether there is something specific outside
your back door... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is thought that the light reflecting off the pennies is magnified because they are in water and that scares the flies away. There is no scientific
evidence to support this one way or the other, but there are many people who swear it works well. At worst it is going to cost you a plastic bag and
four cents so it is worth trying at your own home. Pest Control If the flies are getting to the stage where you are afraid to open the back door for
fear of them trying to swarm in, it is time to call in the pest controllers. There are two main ways a pest controller can help to control your fly
problem: Fly baits. Fly baits are available in spray and granule formulas and these are scattered away from the door to attract the flies to a different
area. They have pheromones and odors built into them to act as a lure. When flies feed on them, death occurs. Surface sprays. Surface sprays are
also an effective way for fly control. Areas in the backyard patio area are coated with a spray that will kill flies when they land on it. Bear in mind
that some pest control products are harmful to animals, so make sure to discuss your types of pets with the pest controller before any product is

Eyes Are The Biggest Betrayers
"Eyes are the biggest betrayers. Some say eyes are windows to the soul. Who knows if they are... or if there is a soul... But betrayers, yes, the eyes are...
if you are not careful, they let your secrets out... especially your desires. You know, hunger shines in the eyes before it can be seen in any other way.
Even if for a second before you hide it. Take care to wipe it out of your eyes before someone sees it. Or they will think less of you. You are not a poor
little famished girl, are you? Where are your manners?" Grandma's words echoed in Riya's ears while she was looking at Preeti.
Yes, there was a definite flicker of unguarded hunger before Preeti lowered her eyes and pretended otherwise. How did she know to do that? Did her
grandmother also tell her the same thing? How to hide one's desires and hunger? Did these kids also get lessons in manners the same way?
Riya normally was a very well–mannered girl, also because she was given ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rain drops were making excited loud noise while they touched soft, muddy, partially–covered–with–grass ground. Riya's heart was thumping with the
beat of that noise.
There she saw her. Preeti was playing with a bunch of children in the rain. They were running and jumping all over the place. They almost seemed to
dance with the music rain was making, all soaked and drenched. Preeti didn't look like a girl who found talking a task. She was giggling and making
faces. A boy pulled her plait and she ran after him. Both of them slipped in a puddle they hadn't anticipated. They laughed louder lying all smeared in
wet mud while their friends joined them in the laughter.
Riya couldn't help laughing either. She wouldn't know whether Preeti could hear her from that far in the rain but that's when Preeti saw her.
It was just a fraction of a second!
And Riya quickly turned her back to the balcony and ran inside. She could tell Preeti had seen something in her eyes. And Riya was horrified.
Would Preeti know it was

What Makes Isabelle's Epilogue To The Novel
"It wasn't your fault he was... killed that day. Well it's really late and I am tired... Please forgive yourself.... Please." Queen Isabelle said looking at
her brother a lone tear gently falling down her cheek. King Henry whipped away her tear and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight and... I will try... I
just wish he could come back for like a second... to say he isn't mad at me. To say that he forgives me or something." The king said sadly smiling at his
sister. "He probably wishes it to... He is probably watching you right now and he is sad that you are sad and that you are suffering. He loves you and so

Personal Narrative Essay : A Personal Experience In My Life
I remember when it happened, it was a sunny day and I decided to take my new pink, sparkly bike and go for a bike ride along my newly paved
street. I plopped on my helmet and began to peddle along the sidewalk. I could smell the sweet flowers as they whizzed by me, until I realized that
I was no longer peddling. I pushed and pulled on the small brakes sitting on the handles as I began to speed down the hill. I could feel my heart
beating out of my chest as I sped closer and closer to the electrical pole until I bashed into it. I felt the wood smash into my head and I looked up to
see the pole slowly falling to the ground. I tried to move but my leg was throbbing and my head was making a pool of red blood on the ground. I
screamed as the pole fell just inches from my aching body, and the wires landed on top of my stomach. I felt a small jolt inside of me as tears
welled up in my eyes, and that was all I could remember until I woke up in the hospital surrounded by my family. "Kelly." "Kelly." "KELLY." "Yes
Mrs. Walter?" I replied as I returned to the real world. I was now surrounded by the hum of the printer and the loud honking of cars on the busy
street below our building. "I pay you to be my assistant... do coffee runs, print things out for me, fill out files... not sit here," my boss snapped. If only
I had known that being a lawyer's assistant when you are 26 is not the most fun job, but I knew it was better than nothing. I popped up from my chair

Romeo And Juliet, The Balcony Scene : As Interpreted By...
Romeo and Juliet, The Balcony Scene: as interpreted by Franco Zeffirelli and Baz Luhrmann William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, debatably one
of the most famous love stories of all, has many film versions which have interpreted this well–known, beloved story of love in a plethora of ways. Two
of the more notable film versions of this love story are Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 version and Baz Luhrmann's 1997 version. Zeffirelli's version takes
place in the 16th century in Verona, Italy, just as the text does. Luhrmann's version is set in Verona Beach, California, in modern time; however,
Shakespearean language is still used. Both film versions have their unique ways in which they are similar to and different from the original text.
Arguably one of the most famous scenes in Romeo and Juliet is the balcony scene. This is the scene during which Romeo and Juliet profess their love
for each other. Shakespeare writes the balcony scene to be said fiercely, passionately– he shows this by his insertion of exclamation points throughout
the text. The simple placement of punctuation marks gives the reader a way to understand this excitement, and gives an actor a better idea of how his
or her lines are to be said when acting in this play. It makes perfect sense for the lines to be said with enthusiasm, for this is the first time these two
young, star–crossed lovers are able to converse – and they are alone. Their love is being demonstrated here by the sheer excitement shown in the

The social facilities offered at the surf club consist of administration area, designated food ordering area and cafГ©, bar/drink service area, dining

the food menu situated in the middle of the club on a pole away from the ordering area so guests must look first then go up to order which causes
congestion. The bar is quite large with 2 service areas with huge selection of beers and spirits also showcasing a wine selection area. The bar has a
nice marble counter, which is complimented with a sleek scattered tile design. The sporting entertainment area is large with large flat screen and
smaller screens with keno available. The gaming room is separate to the club and is accessed by a door to ensure under 18's cannot enter. The
manner in which the service counters have been positioned on one side of the venue has given the club more control over the club regarding guests

Romeo And Juliet Balcony Scene Analysis
The balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet is a well–remembered scene in Romeo and Juliet. Although, there are different versions of it in different
movies and plays. I'm comparing the balcony scene between the original script and the 1997 movie. There are a lot of differences, with not as
many similarities. It seems as a more modern day version... There are some key details in both the movie and the script. Some key details in the
play are that Romeo hides in the darkness, and that he is stalking Juliet in a way. It also takes place on a balcony near the streets,"[Seeing Juliet
enter above on a balcony]" (Act II Scene 2, Page 71) which is a lot more in older days than modern. In the movie version, some key details are that
Romeo is hidden on a vine, not so much hidden though.(You can see in the 1997 movie, Romeo + Juliet, directed by Baz Luhrmann.) The setting
is also on a deck and a pool. Those are some of the key details you will need to know. Now, I will explain the differences between the original script
and the movie. One pretty noticable difference is that the setting is a lot different. In the script, the setting is on the balcony, and is definitely a
way less modern version, almost like a cliche love scene. In the 1997 movie, the setting isn't even on a balcony, it is on a back porch with a pool.
This takes away the whole "cliche love scene" in the original script, and as I feel takes away some of the meaning of the original. It also is a lot more
modern, because there aren't as many balconies in modern day houses now, which makes sense why the didn't put one, therefore it is an older and more
modern–day version. Another big difference between the two is that in the script, they don't have a pool that they jump into and kiss, but in the
1997 movie they do. Romeo and Juliet go into the pool together and kiss, when in the script they talk from a distance and then meet at her balcony.
I think they did this also because it was made to be more modern, but they kept more of the cliche love scene. The last difference I will talk about is
in the script, romeo hides in the darkness unseen, "I have the darkness to hide me from their eyes..." (Act II Scene 2, page 75) while Juliet walks out
onto her balcony and talks

still snow all over the place. In fact there had just been a blizzard. But that's what the weather was like here in northern Russia. Agent 001 had scarcely
made it out of the flaming Indian base when the hills echoed with gun shots. He had accomplished the main part of his mission, destroying secret files
that contained nuclear launch codes, but the part of getting away without getting killed was going to be the hard part. As John opened the balcony door,
he knew it was going to be a beautiful morning. The sun was shining and everyone was blissful over the barely missed a blizzard that had passed
through the night before. As john was enjoying the view over Moscow, the phone in his bedroom rang. It made him wince. He knew who was
calling, no one else but them ever called. He shut the balcony door and went into the bedroom picking up the phone. "Hello", a person on the other
line said in a very monotone voice, as if they had done this same call over and over again. "Hello, 001 here", john replied. He hated these calls they
were always so mind–numbing the only pleasurable part was when they were over. "Yes", the other person said," this is the FBI, we have a mission

Final Reflection Phase: MVV Reflection Paper
I learned a lot about myself this semester. I am still searching for who I am and who I want to become but with doing the MVV it allows me to not
only think about these things, but also really answer the tough questions and get an answer on paper. Though it may not always be the most positive
answer, I have to start from where I am at and try to mold and shape those into who I want to become and be recognized as. I started this course in a
negative mind frame. I was holding onto grudges that were pointless and assassinate to survive in the Leadership Minor. It was a waste of my
energy because at first it was keeping me from really diving in and enjoying the unknown of the class. I had a hard time speaking my mind in the
big circle. I just sat there and listened for the first few weeks and the longer I sat quiet the more steam built up inside me. I felt as if even if I talked
and said what was on my mind, it wouldn't matter and the class would just brush over it like they had every other suggestion good or bad.
I learned that I work better under guidelines and rubrics. I need to be able to know the rules and then be able to break outside of the bubble with my
creative ideas. I learned that there are a lot of tough subjects in the world that need to talk about, but I feel as if I am too ignorant on any political
topic. This relates to the competency manage self. I realize that in the leadership minor

"All right, but just so you know, Paul, once you're in the guy's hands, I'm not going to be able to help you. The guy will be all you've got."
"But you think the guy's really good?"
"Somebody really good wouldn't be doing this."
Paul nodded. "I'll take the chance."
"Okay, then. Give me a couple days."
A couple of days sounded like a couple of years, but what could he do? "Just one more thing, Hector."
"Yeah?"
"I need to bring a woman with me."

Impact Of Francisco Goya's Majas On A Balcony
Francisco Goya was born in March 30th, 1746; he was a Spanish painter, printmaker, and draftsman. His paintings played an important role in the

The painting 2 de Mayo de (1808) is a scene where citizens of Madrid are rebelling against the French soldiers. The image showed a chaos action
where people are killing each other. There are lots of tension in the painting, however, by the beautiful color combination and over all composition,
Goya lead our eyes around the image creating harmony. Moreover, Goya painted the figures in the image differently; they had a more three–dimension
and round looking. Followed by the 2 de Mayo de, He painted El tres de mayo de (1808) where the main action in the painting focus on the
emotions in the horror of war. In this painting, Goya successfully expressed rage and fear, and the painting is acknowledged as the first painting in

side of a man who protects others. Goya's painting had become iconic symbols for the violence of France to the

Descriptive Essay : Girls As A Difficult People
Girls are Difficult People
Girls are such a complicated species, in my experience with talking to girls, trying to make friends with them, trying to appropriately converse with
them, this reminds me in some shape or form talking to your mother, aunt or grandmother.
There's a lot of words I can use to describe females like vivacious, proactive, ambitious, strong, intelligent, and most of all beautiful. But these words
just like comedy are subjective. My first female friend was in middle school. I was thirteen when I first arrived there, when i did i noticed my friend
trevor was there he was taller and had a calm presence about him. We have not seen each other science he left Georgian Forest elementary school (he
went to flower valley while i stayed at georgian forest) I walked up to him and said
" Trevor is that you, well aren't you a sight for sore eyes, how are you man."
" i'm doing all right how have you been."
" hanging in there, doing pretty good"

" could you please move to desk 4"
That's when i remembered a moment in my childhood, I was at my cousin ty's house we both liked anime, we also liked girls or at least my cousin
did. So one day me and him were wrestling and talking about what we wanted to be as adults i said

Romeo & Juliet ВЃВЁ Balcony Scene Character Comparison
Balcony Scene (Act 2, Scene 1) in Romeo and Juliet is almost certainly the most famous scene throughout the world. The prevalent reason for it being
famous is that this scene is the scene where the two lovers come together, took an oath for their love and plan to marry. This scene foreshadows the
next scene, their marriage, which is tremendously important for the rest of the play. In my opinion, there is one more reason for ВЃgBalcony
SceneВЃh to be famous. In this scene, Shakespeare reveals the characteristics of the protagonists, Romeo and Juliet, in their speeches secretly. If we

However, in contrast to all her reasonable, lucid behaviors her quick and concrete plan for marriage shows that with the effect of blinding love she can

Personal Narrative Essay : My Experience In My School
My family and I are in the dim parking garage, walking towards the elevator. We are so glad to be able to spend time with each other. This trip was
especially for my grandparents before they left back to the Philippines. However, something kept bothering me. I later glared up, staring at the silver,

single step off the elevator was a regret I made. The climate was broiling. I died every time I took a step. "Hurry up", my mother yelped. My individual

The Language of Romeo and Juliet in the Balcony Scene
Act II Scene 2 is one of the most famous scenes of
Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet. It is
commonly known as the "Balcony Scene" because Juliet appears on a small
balcony outside her bedroom window, and exchanges words, expresses true
love with Romeo who is standing below in her father's orchard. The scene is
famous for its moving and vivid images, used to express love between two
people of contrasting nature. In my study I will compare the language of
Romeo and Juliet in this famous scene.

Here Romeo describes Juliet's eyes as stars and not just any stars but the
"fairest stars" in the heaven. He also says that her cheeks would be so
bright and full of light that the surrounding stars would feel ashamed, and
the brightness of her eyes would make the birds on earth think that its day
time. Romeo here exaggerates Juliet's beauty to a great extent.
Later, he speaks of her as a "bright angel" who, as a "winged
messenger of heaven", is far above ordinary mortals on earth. Unlike
Rosaline, Juliet is not compared to a pagan goddess. Romeo's and Juliet's
speeches are full of the religious register. Juliet uses the religious
register when she says

Review Of The Balcony Scene From The Movie Schindler's List
In the Balcony Scene from the movie Schindler's List a man named Amon Goeth, a cruel and committed Nazi soldier who runs a Nazi work camp, is
sitting on the balcony of his house which overlooks the workcamp he is in charge of and all of the Jews who are "workers" at the camp.
This scene conveys the smaller scale version of a much larger scale event and genocide. This scene depicts the overall systematic approach at a
genocide of the larger scale event of World War II.Human rights that were violated from this scene are; Article 5 which states that "no one shall be
subjected to torture or to cruel inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment" this Act was violated in this scene because the punishment for small
things such as tying your shoe or taking a small rest after working all day would be death. Article 18 states that "everyone has the right to freedom of
thought, conscience and religion" this Act was violated because Jews were being treated unfairly because of their religious beliefs. Article 24 states
that "everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay" this Act was violated
because, in the work camps, Jews were overworked and underfed. Article 25 states that "everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the
health and well–being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services and the right to

Analysis Of Get On The Balcony By Ronald A. Linsky
Get on the Balcony by Ronald A. Heifetz and Marty Linsky brings a lot in perspective especially when thinking about how to approach leadership
in a class that focuses on us as a person and how we recognize certain things within and without. One of my favorite examples that was used was the
dance floor scenario, it brings a lot into perspective when thinking deeper into matters. Sometimes by being on the "dance floor" you miss a lot of
details and minor things that you would only be able to catch by being on the balcony. If we think of life as a dance floor it because very easy to
relate the situation to what so often happens to us. We sometimes become so focused on what is going on with us, how to keep ourselves afloat, worry

They were more focused on who was winning the game, the bets they had made, the nice warm dinner they were going to have when literally in
surrounding areas residents suffered at the expense of a game. It becomes hard to put these kind of things into perspective without ever having that
opportunity to have that balcony view. The authors capture a very important point, "But if you had gone up to the balcony and looked down on the
dance floor, you might have seen a very different picture. You would have noticed all sorts of patterns" (Heifetz and Linsky 3). In our class I think it
will be important to sometimes take that step back as a participant and try to understand things from a different view.Learning how to step outside our
comfortable comfort zone and not just trying to see things how we expect they should be but allowing the reality of things to impact how we relate and
interact in the community. Learning that certain discussions and opinions are coming from somewhere, someone's lived experiences and what that

Medicine : You Downed The Shot
Medicine –– Daughter
You downed the shot. And another. And another. The alcohol left a burning trail down your throat, and turned your breath to fire. It had started to make
you feel light headed. You look around the empty apartment and run a hand through your messy hair, listening to the sounds of the traffic so many
floors beneath you. Another tear rolled down your face as you refilled the glass with the whiskey that had been keeping you company. The only
company you had now.
Everything had gone so wrong too quickly, and you couldn't remember the last time you'd been happy. But it was all your fault. You knew that.
You stood up abruptly, sloshing liquor out of the glass you were still holding. What a waste. You finish the shot in a quick gulp and grab the rest of
the bottle by the neck to take two short swigs. Your face contorts with the SHARP taste, but finally start to feel some of the effects. Goodpain medicine.
When you finally got tired of standing still, listening to cars and horns below, you took a wobbly step. Good pain medicine, not to good coordination
medicine. But you didn't need coordination then. You needed another nip. You walked in a wobbly light out of the apartment's kitchen and through the
living room to the hallway. On the left was your old bedroom with the desk that had someone else's computer and psychology books on it, and the bed
that you used to share. Now the only things on the desk were divorce papers, and the only things on the bed were

Analysis of Gerrit van Honthorst's Painting, Musical Group on a Balcony
The Dutch painter Gerrit van Honthorst was known in Rome as Gherardo delle Notti (Gerard of the Night Scenes) for his striking use of a single light
source to illuminate a dark scene. He was successful in bringing Caravaggio's lighting techniques with him to the North, influencing many painters,
including Rembrandt. But his painting "Musical Group on a Balcony" is a departure from his customarily dark depictions. This piece was the first
Dutch illusionistic ceiling, which Honthorst painted for his own home in Utrecht. Honthorst's use of perspective, bright yet simple composition, and
lighthearted subject matter are representative of the pastoral life ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But Honthorst's painting contrasts with both typical ceiling paintings and his own typically Biblical subject matter. As we gaze up toward heaven to
look at the painting, we expect to see a Bible story; instead, our eyes are greeted by a merry pastoral scene depicting common people in the midst of a
common activity. Unlike many of the paintings that Honthorst saw in Italy, its secular subject parodies the idea of heaven depicted in many ceiling
paintings. Instead of looking up to see angels floating in the distant atmosphere, we see a host of 'normal' people. We are even invited to join them,
and the simple balcony makes us feel that we need only climb upstairs in order to enjoy the same happiness.
Seeing the painting up close also allowed me to observe the emotion on the faces of those in the painting. Every person present is either singing or
playing an instrument. One of the lute players stares into the distance, lost in reverie, while the lady singing next to him moves her hand delightfully
to the music. As the crowd sings along merrily, her dress slips off her shoulder and the wind gives us a glimpse of her red stockings, adding to the
uninhibited and carefree nature of the gathering. The painting is only partially preserved and was most likely wider and possibly twice as long at the
time of its composition, making for quite an illusion of merriment. One can imagine that whenever Honthorst stood under his

The Scream Will Forever Haunt Me
The scream will forever haunt me. I hear "EMILYYYYY" on replay all day in my head. I can still make out the despair and sorrow in her voice. I
later found out that Emily Roland, a twenty year old student at the University of Minnesota, had fallen to her death at a place I had been just ten
minutes before the fall. It makes me think about if times had changed, and I would have been the one to fall. This haunts me. It all started with the
desire to feel the adrenaline rush of urban explorations. Going into the unknown was not only thrilling, but it made you feel "cool". All of the teens
and young adults were doing it to seek adventure. On June 6, 2015 the abandoned structure I explored was the Bunge Midway Elevator in Minneapolis.

There were holes about two feet in diameter across the whole surface of each floor. The stairs were rusted and bent. The building was clearly not
meant for people to be exploring in. About halfway up, another group of three entered the building. That group included Emily Roland. They were a
bit obnoxious when they came in, so I assumed that they might be drinking. The group that was leading my friend and I just ignored them, and kept
going up. We stopped at a balcony type area that was connected to the building, but outside. It was a gorgeous view of downtown Minneapolis.
Suddenly, Emily and her two friends caught up with our group at the balcony. They started climbing on things that were not meant to be climbed, so
we left and continued our journey upwards. We finally made it to the roof. It was about ten floors up. In order to get to the roof you had to climb two
different ladders. The first ladder led to an elevated platform, that had the second ladder leading to the roof. When I was on the roof, I had the best
view of the city I have ever had in my life. Since the building was so high you could see the entire part of downtown Minneapolis. Eventually,
Emily's group and her made it to the roof. Everything was perfectly fine, until Emily and her two friends decided to start smoking pot on the roof.
Their recklessness made us feel unsafe. We left shortly after. On my way down the ladders I noticed

Edgar Allan Poe's Things Fall Apart
Taking a gasp of oxygen not touched by the odor of human rot, Bird Man opened his beak and frantically hyperventilated. Soon after he felt
lightheaded and ill from the overconsumption of air, he slowed down and recollected his thoughts. Before he had left Wilhelm, he had elicitly
demanded that if Bird Man sighted or observed the woman who was tirelessly chasing him that he should not hesitate to use his powers in his defense.
He also added in that if he saw another worm who looked similar to him, he should ignore it. Bird Man inquired about his latter comment, though
Wilhelm simply dismissed him after threatening to destroy him if he disobeyed. Not that a worm really has the potential to do much more than eat and

he was standing in the same place as earlier. He took a deep breath and reluctantly explained his journey up to the point where he unwillingly enrolled
in a necromancer camp, leaving out a fairly high quantity of... sensitive details (including the part where he was attacked by a tadpole with a human

Man crossed his arms as the worm bellowed out its demonic chuckle. "–But Alas, I did not ask for your story––I asked what Wilhelm commanded you.
If you would instead shift your focus to THAT..?" Bird Man sighed and paraphrased Wilhelm's speech, explaining how he was to eliminate Basil to

Balcony Scnece in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
The balcony scene in and Romeo and Juliet is the most iconic and recognised scene, because it represents young love, and symbolises the power of
youth, as Romeo and Juliet try to put right the mistakes of their elders. The scene shows how their love over comes their difficulties. Romeo wooing
Juliet at the balcony is a ideal romantic situation, as it is still relevant today. There is also a little sexual tension between them.
The balcony scene is very simple but effective. There are only two characters, and the nurse's voice, which adds suspense to the scene. The lovers are

Even though both their families are at war, it does not mean that, that should get in the way of their love.
The 16th century scene is still relevant today as it was then. The Romeo and Juliet situation n could be created by divided society e.g. people from
opposite sides of a war, falling in love, for example Northern Ireland or Israel.
There is a sense of physical longing between the characters in the scene. Romeo and Juliet long for each other, there is a sexual tension running
through the scene. This shown in their vows to each other: such as when Romeo asks he:" What shall I swear by?" And she replies:" Do not swear at
all; or, if though wilt, swear by thy gracious self." Swearing by yourself was meant Juliet trusted Romeo very much. The vow guaranteed that they
would both see each other again. Romeo's observation: "O that I were a glove upon that Hand, That I might touch that cheek,"shows Romeo's physical
longing for Juliet. And his demand at the end of the scene: "O, wilt though leave me so unsatisfied?" followed by her reply: "What satisfaction canst
though have to–night?" This is another example of the couple's sexual tension.
There are many great contrasts in the scenes, the Balcony scene is very intense and

hardship is a part of the human experience. Nothing has highlighted this truth more so than the recent illness of my mother. My mother was and in

Juliet says how her love resembles the sea. 'My bounty is as boundless as the sea , my love as deep , the more I give to thee , the more I have, for

influence was given by my house, which seemed like a fine boat itself. Surrounded by unconstructed houses which seemed like unmapped area, and
numerous resemblances to pirate ships such as a flag flying off the balcony, my childhood home was the perfect place for a blooming imagination to
run wild.
The house stood proudly like a warrior from the Hun dynasty, sheathed in an armour of wood colored bricks. It had a Canadian flag being displayed
in the balcony, the house seemed like a heavy seadog navigating the suburbs. Being one of the first houses built in the neighbourhood, the house
seemed isolated at sea and when there was a downpour it could have easily be mistaken for a fine vessel, resisting the howling winds and sheets of rain.
The interior of the house was no less of a metaphor for a sailing craft. Entering from the front door, you are greeted by the brown and gold diamond
carpet that stretched on forever. Large wooden staircase occupied the living room, with a lesser counterpart leading underground beside it. The small
but stable stairs leading to the basement were sturdy, but were also reliable, it was dimly lit as if it was a constructor's re–imagining of a pirate vessel.

The Party Exited The Courtyard

  • 1. The Party Exited the Courtyard Minister Mike's party included Skylar, Ethan, Mr Pisher and a meager handful of the remaining students each of whom tolerated the midday sun as they walked single–file around the massive Palace structure. The once magnificent lush grounds had turned into withering vegetation. Water was scarce. The new Government could not afford this luxurious expensive. Those who lived in the region did not know why the devoted groundskeepers had recently abandoned their post. Soon, it would become evident as Minister Mike's party continued around Egyptian style Palace. The Babylon summer Palace was shaped in a U design, so when Minister Mike saw the balcony above the first wing; he noticed Giselle by herself clutching the railing. She looked nauseated. He wanted to say something. However, Mike felt it best to leave her alone. Mike did not see Daniel ducking behind the balcony French door. The Minister's party rounded the Palace. There they strolled into the three–sided courtyard. Marble terraced steps leaded from an Olympic–size swimming pool to the main residence level. The scale of the Saddam's Babylon Palace would rival those in Europe; mounted above the Babylon ruins, it was easy to imagine the grand parties hosted poolside. Now a drained pool sat eroding with desert debris. The diving board was scattered from its mountings. It gave an eerie appearance to the dismal Palace grounds. Skylar ascended the steps into the pool, and turn back to the Minister. She mimicked a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. House Flies Research Paper Ah summer! The sun is shining, you're stepping out to the back deck with a plate of burgers ready to go on the grill and as you head out the door you've instantly got four flies flicking around your face. Yuck! Flies love the heat of summer which is why they are more in–your–face this time of year. As house flies can spread diseases through the germs they are carrying on their legs, it is important you tackle this pest problem before it becomes the plot of a bad movie. Here are three ways you can beat back these winged insects from your back door. Outside Fly Attractions After you've finished off eating that freshly grilled burger, it is time to head back outside to try and determine whether there is something specific outside your back door... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is thought that the light reflecting off the pennies is magnified because they are in water and that scares the flies away. There is no scientific evidence to support this one way or the other, but there are many people who swear it works well. At worst it is going to cost you a plastic bag and four cents so it is worth trying at your own home. Pest Control If the flies are getting to the stage where you are afraid to open the back door for fear of them trying to swarm in, it is time to call in the pest controllers. There are two main ways a pest controller can help to control your fly problem: Fly baits. Fly baits are available in spray and granule formulas and these are scattered away from the door to attract the flies to a different area. They have pheromones and odors built into them to act as a lure. When flies feed on them, death occurs. Surface sprays. Surface sprays are also an effective way for fly control. Areas in the backyard patio area are coated with a spray that will kill flies when they land on it. Bear in mind that some pest control products are harmful to animals, so make sure to discuss your types of pets with the pest controller before any product is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

You are not a poor little famished girl, are you? Where are your manners?" Grandma's words echoed in Riya's ears while she was looking at Preeti. Yes, there was a definite flicker of unguarded hunger before Preeti lowered her eyes and pretended otherwise. How did she know to do that? Did her grandmother also tell her the same thing? How to hide one's desires and hunger? Did these kids also get lessons in manners the same way? Riya normally was a very well–mannered girl, also because she was given ... Riya's heart was thumping with the beat of that noise. There she saw her. Preeti was playing with a bunch of children in the rain. They were running and jumping all over the place. They almost seemed to dance with the music rain was making, all soaked and drenched. Preeti didn't look like a girl who found talking a task. She was giggling and making faces. A boy pulled her plait and she ran after him. Both of them slipped in a puddle they hadn't anticipated. They laughed louder lying all smeared in wet mud while their friends joined them in the laughter.

  • 6. Personal Narrative Essay : A Personal Experience In My Life I remember when it happened, it was a sunny day and I decided to take my new pink, sparkly bike and go for a bike ride along my newly paved street. I plopped on my helmet and began to peddle along the sidewalk. I could smell the sweet flowers as they whizzed by me, until I realized that I was no longer peddling. I pushed and pulled on the small brakes sitting on the handles as I began to speed down the hill. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest as I sped closer and closer to the electrical pole until I bashed into it. I felt the wood smash into my head and I looked up to see the pole slowly falling to the ground. I tried to move but my leg was throbbing and my head was making a pool of red blood on the ground. I screamed as the pole fell just inches from my aching body, and the wires landed on top of my stomach. I felt a small jolt inside of me as tears welled up in my eyes, and that was all I could remember until I woke up in the hospital surrounded by my family. "Kelly." "Kelly." "KELLY." "Yes Mrs. Walter?" I replied as I returned to the real world. I was now surrounded by the hum of the printer and the loud honking of cars on the busy street below our building. "I pay you to be my assistant... do coffee runs, print things out for me, fill out files... not sit here," my boss snapped. If only I had known that being a lawyer's assistant when you are 26 is not the most fun job, but I knew it was better than nothing. I popped up from my chair that sat at a tiny desk ... • 7. Romeo And Juliet, The Balcony Scene : As Interpreted By... Romeo and Juliet, The Balcony Scene: as interpreted by Franco Zeffirelli and Baz Luhrmann William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, debatably one of the most famous love stories of all, has many film versions which have interpreted this well–known, beloved story of love in a plethora of ways. Two of the more notable film versions of this love story are Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 version and Baz Luhrmann's 1997 version. Zeffirelli's version takes place in the 16th century in Verona, Italy, just as the text does. Luhrmann's version is set in Verona Beach, California, in modern time; however, Shakespearean language is still used. Both film versions have their unique ways in which they are similar to and different from the original text. Arguably one of the most famous scenes in Romeo and Juliet is the balcony scene. This is the scene during which Romeo and Juliet profess their love for each other. Shakespeare writes the balcony scene to be said fiercely, passionately– he shows this by his insertion of exclamation points throughout the text. The simple placement of punctuation marks gives the reader a way to understand this excitement, and gives an actor a better idea of how his or her lines are to be said when acting in this play. It makes perfect sense for the lines to be said with enthusiasm, for this is the first time these two young, star–crossed lovers are able to converse – and they are alone. Their love is being demonstrated here by the sheer excitement shown in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Romeo And Juliet Balcony Scene Analysis The balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet is a well–remembered scene in Romeo and Juliet. Although, there are different versions of it in different movies and plays. I'm comparing the balcony scene between the original script and the 1997 movie. There are a lot of differences, with not as many similarities. It seems as a more modern day version... There are some key details in both the movie and the script. Some key details in the play are that Romeo hides in the darkness, and that he is stalking Juliet in a way. It also takes place on a balcony near the streets,"[Seeing Juliet enter above on a balcony]" (Act II Scene 2, Page 71) which is a lot more in older days than modern. In the movie version, some key details are that Romeo is hidden on a vine, not so much hidden though.(You can see in the 1997 movie, Romeo + Juliet, directed by Baz Luhrmann.) The setting is also on a deck and a pool. Those are some of the key details you will need to know. Now, I will explain the differences between the original script and the movie. One pretty noticable difference is that the setting is a lot different. In the script, the setting is on the balcony, and is definitely a way less modern version, almost like a cliche love scene. In the 1997 movie, the setting isn't even on a balcony, it is on a back porch with a pool. This takes away the whole "cliche love scene" in the original script, and as I feel takes away some of the meaning of the original. It also is a lot more modern, because there aren't as many balconies in modern day houses now, which makes sense why the didn't put one, therefore it is an older and more modern–day version. Another big difference between the two is that in the script, they don't have a pool that they jump into and kiss, but in the 1997 movie they do. Romeo and Juliet go into the pool together and kiss, when in the script they talk from a distance and then meet at her balcony. I think they did this also because it was made to be more modern, but they kept more of the cliche love scene. The last difference I will talk about is in the script, romeo hides in the darkness unseen, "I have the darkness to hide me from their eyes..." (Act II Scene 2, page 75) while Juliet walks out onto her balcony and talks ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In fact there had just been a blizzard. But that's what the weather was like here in northern Russia. Agent 001 had scarcely made it out of the flaming Indian base when the hills echoed with gun shots. He had accomplished the main part of his mission, destroying secret files that contained nuclear launch codes, but the part of getting away without getting killed was going to be the hard part. As John opened the balcony door, he knew it was going to be a beautiful morning. The sun was shining and everyone was blissful over the barely missed a blizzard that had passed through the night before. As john was enjoying the view over Moscow, the phone in his bedroom rang. It made him wince. He knew who was calling, no one else but them ever called. He shut the balcony door and went into the bedroom picking up the phone. "Hello", a person on the other line said in a very monotone voice, as if they had done this same call over and over again. "Hello, 001 here", john replied. He hated these calls they were always so mind–numbing the only pleasurable part was when they were over. • 11. Final Reflection Phase : Reflection Paper PRINT AND UPLOAD TO BB Final Reflection Phase: MVV Reflection Paper I learned a lot about myself this semester. I am still searching for who I am and who I want to become but with doing the MVV it allows me to not only think about these things, but also really answer the tough questions and get an answer on paper. Though it may not always be the most positive answer, I have to start from where I am at and try to mold and shape those into who I want to become and be recognized as. I started this course in a negative mind frame. I was holding onto grudges that were pointless and assassinate to survive in the Leadership Minor. It was a waste of my energy because at first it was keeping me from really diving in and enjoying the unknown of the class. I had a hard time speaking my mind in the big circle. I just sat there and listened for the first few weeks and the longer I sat quiet the more steam built up inside me. I felt as if even if I talked and said what was on my mind, it wouldn't matter and the class would just brush over it like they had every other suggestion good or bad. I learned that I work better under guidelines and rubrics. I need to be able to know the rules and then be able to break outside of the bubble with my creative ideas. I learned that there are a lot of tough subjects in the world that need to talk about, but I feel as if I am too ignorant on any political topic. This relates to the competency manage self. Sometimes by being on the "dance floor" you miss a lot of details and minor things that you would only be able to catch by being on the balcony. As we gaze up toward heaven to look at the painting, we expect to see a Bible story; instead, our eyes are greeted by a merry pastoral scene depicting common people in the midst of a common activity. Unlike many of the paintings that Honthorst saw in Italy, its secular subject parodies the idea of heaven depicted in many ceiling paintings. Instead of looking up to see angels floating in the distant atmosphere, we see a host of 'normal' people. We are even invited to join them, and the simple balcony makes us feel that we need only climb upstairs in order to enjoy the same happiness. Seeing the painting up close also allowed me to observe the emotion on the faces of those in the painting. Every person present is either singing or playing an instrument. One of the lute players stares into the distance, lost in reverie, while the lady singing next to him moves her hand delightfully to the music. As the crowd sings along merrily, her dress slips off her shoulder and the wind gives us a glimpse of her red stockings, adding to the uninhibited and carefree nature of the gathering. • 37. A Short Story : A Story? "You will be sleeping here. Ghim and I will be downstairs in case you do something." stuttered Javier. "Something what?" I interrogated. "Nevermind. Good night, we will wake you up tomorrow." I went outside on the balcony that was in my room. About a hundred yards away, I saw the princess, gazing at the stars as she was on the balcony as well. Her blue eyes, long blond hair, and gorgeous smile all attracted my eyes. I couldn't stop laying my eyes off her. I went to my bed and closed the balcony door. "Ding–Dong. Ding–Dong." I got up and wiped my eyes. I tiredly walked downstairs and started wobbling back and forth. I saw Ghim and Javier already and the bottom, as they were standing as straight as a stick and patiently awaiting me at the bottom. "Good morning," greeted Javier. "Good morning," I awkwardly mumbled. "We are going to show you some more magic," Ghim wisely said as he grabbed his wand. Today, was comparable to yesterday. However, I failed many of the new moves that I've learned such as how to fly and how to transform. I knew that the whole world was in my hands and I wanted to grab that money. The world, hanging on my shoulders, and the thought of the princess pounded my heart as loud as an elephant's sneeze. I continued to practice and practice as they taught me more. "Hold on. I'm getting a call," interrupted Ghim. He went a few yards away from Javier and I and pulled out his phone. We didn't admire anything by the tone of his voice. Ghim started sweating ... • 38. SURVING AUSTRALIA-Sorrel Wilby The tedious hours on the plane ended as I walked to the bus, which drove the passengers to the airport. The Australian warm currents of air hit me for the first time as if I had just opened up an oven to paradise with the scorching heat masking my face. This is the feeling I had forgotten existed since being back in London. I forced my mood to placate, as I was now no longer tightly squeezed– as if I was the unlucky middle matchstick in a pack– into the tormenting seats of the plane. I put my head phones into my ears as fast I could, shuffling through my playlist until I came across a song that wasn't from that ridiculously annoying "Pop Party 2000" album that my sister had once downloaded... all to avoid the agonizing screeches and whines ... I rubbed my squinting, tired eyes and traced across my body for any insect bites that I may have accumulated before sitting up in bed, stretching my arms and pacing to the balcony. Goodness me, isn't Australia big? With one hand on my hip, the other shading my vision, I gazed across the alluring skyline. It seemed as if there was absolutely nothing for miles on end – or so I thought. I could see a patch of pink in the distance, amongst all the dry land. Nowadays my eye sight is about as reliable as a chocolate teapot, so I grabbed the nearest pair of binoculars I could find. I squinted as I twisted the eye cups till I could see the pink patch had focused. I grinned excessively. Bingo. Australia's famous Pink Lake. I couldn't believe that we had managed to book this abode without realising that our next door neighbour was one of Australia's most stunning attractions. I practically danced into Stan's room, to say the least the lazy bastard was nowhere near as enthusiastic as me – but, nevertheless (with quite some persuading) he gave in and came to see it with ... Personal Essay : The Story Of A Rose's Life All he heard (sound effect: city street) outside was cars, people speaking about their daily lives, and the construction that was happening right outside of the condo. The teenaged boy decided to grab a cup of soothing tea and take a step out to the balcony. He had a newspaper between his arm and chest and on the other hand was his tea. It was hectic and loud for a Friday morning, due to the rush hour, kids finding their way to school, and adults rushing for work, not a single day could be the sweet sound of silence. In front of his condo, there was a music shop. The teenaged boy named Rose enjoyed hearing the majestic tone of music as well as playing musical instruments. Rose peaked his head over the balcony and saw Allison standing below with a bright red leash in her hand. (stop violin playing) Rose stopped playing,"Thank you?" he shouted, confused on where the voice was coming from. "I'm Allison," she shouted with pride, "what's your name?" "Um... Rose," he responded, perplexed as to why he was having a conversation off his balcony with a stranger. Although Allison loved musical instruments, same as Rose, she had never played one before. She looked up at Rose, and all she can see was him looking down at her. She loved the way he was smiling at her and the way their eyes met–she did not hesitate to ask Rose. "Would you like to grab a cup of coffee with me? I'm already on my way there!" Her eyes looked up at him. Rose was shy but calm; he didn't know Allison nor what she does. "I don't think I can sorry, I have plans today." His expression shifted. Allison gloomed, "was that unexpected? I know we just met and started talking, but I would love to get to know you." Rose looked down at Allison, "I don't even drink coffee." He told her. Allison thought for a second, shifting her weight from one leg to the other. "How about tea?" she suggested. He sighed, looking down at his already made cup. "Sorry, I like making my own tea." He yelled trying to get the message to her. They stood like that for a while trying to arrange plans. Contrary to the popular contemporary notion that pulses at the heart of prosperity teachings, the Christian journey is not without suffering. In fact, hardship is a part of the human experience. Nothing has highlighted this truth more so than the recent illness of my mother. My mother was and in many regards still is the epitome of strength, the matriarch and stalwart of the family whose deep faith and convictions continue to reverberate through the many lives that she has touched. As a pastor, marriage and family therapist, and professor of sociology, her training, intellect and experience afforded her tremendous opportunities to minister the gospel in a variety of contexts. By all visible signs she appeared whole. The sudden change came as a shock. I will never forget the Doctor's diagnosis – a highly uncommon disease called autoimmune encephalitis an illness that causes the immune system to attack the brain. I have watched helplessly hoping for a reduction in the rapid decline of her once advanced cognitive ability. God why? Again I found myself raising self–centered questions. Over the past two years I have silently grappled theologically with the question of illness. This increasingly uncomfortable phase and the wide array of practical challenges and decisions that have come with caring for an ill parent has restructured my hermeneutic on suffering. In many ... • 41. Essay On The Dark Sword The dim moonlight shone through the windows, giving life to the dancing shadows on the cold stone floors. A small, lithe figure clad in head–to–toe black, and armed to the teeth strode upon them. The only sound she made was the faint scuffle of her boots on the frigid flagstone floor. She moved with a purpose, striding down the halls in the shadows, watching for any approaching figures that might alert the sleeping castle to her presence. She slowly rounded the corner, still shrouded in the shadows, ever vigilant for possible guards or servants passing through the drafty castle halls. The sleeping monarch inside the now unguarded chamber had absolutely no idea of their impending demise. Once the assassin was in the room, she barricaded the door with a heavy wooden chest of drawers and several chairs. She advanced towards the bed, careful not to wake the sleeping queen, absentmindedly fiddling with her daggers, trying to decide which one to use on the queen. At the sight of the woman lying on the bed, her fiery hair flowing all over the pillow, her hand went to the dark jadestone at her throat. Done with her moment of remembrance, her scarred hand jerked out and seized the queen's pale, unmarred throat, pulling her from her slumber, and the assassin dragged her towards the balcony, while the queen thrashed and clawed at the hands holding her throat in an iron grip. The assailant released her prey by throwing her to the ground, the queen rolling for several feet before hitting the stone railing on the balcony, instantly soaked by the pouring rain. As she stepped into the howling wind and beating rain, lightning flashed and the queen saw her face, the face of someone who should have been long dead. "You... you should be dead...How?" the shocked queen stammered. "You know, Amira, when you try to have your friends killed, you should really be more thorough." the smirking assassin replied. • 44. Descriptive Essay About My House When I was young, I would often dream of becoming a crewmate on a seaworthy vessel, battling high, intimidating and ferocious tides. Apart with having the maneuvering ability to go through tight nooks and crannies to explore uncharted waters. Part of this was due to my imagination, but a large influence was given by my house, which seemed like a fine boat itself. Surrounded by unconstructed houses which seemed like unmapped area, and numerous resemblances to pirate ships such as a flag flying off the balcony, my childhood home was the perfect place for a blooming imagination to run wild. The house stood proudly like a warrior from the Hun dynasty, sheathed in an armour of wood colored bricks. It had a Canadian flag being displayed in the balcony, the house seemed like a heavy seadog navigating the suburbs. Being one of the first houses built in the neighbourhood, the house seemed isolated at sea and when there was a downpour it could have easily be mistaken for a fine vessel, resisting the howling winds and sheets of rain. The interior of the house was no less of a metaphor for a sailing craft. Entering from the front door, you are greeted by the brown and gold diamond carpet that stretched on forever. Large wooden staircase occupied the living room, with a lesser counterpart leading underground beside it. The small but stable stairs leading to the basement were sturdy, but were also reliable, it was dimly lit as if it was a constructor's re–imagining of a pirate vessel. The ...
