This logo is the logo for the album #WILLPOWER.
Promotion of the logo to represent #WILLPOWER;
In April 2012, Italian car manufacturer Lancia commissioned two commercials,
both featuring a track from #willpower, to promote their new line of Lancia
Delta cars.
In the lead-up to the album's release in Australia, Perth-based online newspaper
Perth Now ran a competition to win CD copies of #willpower before its release
on April 19.
This logo is now well known to be the logo of WILL.I.AM’s products.
After the album was
released, will continued to
advertise his album with his
logo on his clothes.
When Will.I.AM’s first single ‘bang
bang’ came out, the cover of that
was the album name and the logo
was on it, further using his logo to
advertise his CD.
On will’s CD, he thurther
promoted the logo by putting
it on the CD disc and front
cover.
3. THE STONE ROSES
The stone roses logo of the lemon is in reference to the May 1968 riots in Paris. The cover was named
by Q magazine as one of "The 100 Best Covers of All Time." In the accompanying article, Squire said:
"Ian [Brown] had met this French man when he was hitching around Europe, this bloke had been in
the riots, and he told Ian how lemons had been used as an antidote to tear gas. Then there was the
documentary—a great shot at the start of a guy throwing stones at the police. I really liked his
attitude." This story was also the inspiration for the lyrics to the song of the same name.

What does the logo mean?
Frontman Anthony Kiedis has been credited as the artist behind the
asterisk-style logo. On many different occasions, the symbol has been
often associated with the "Star of Affinity," which refers to chaos. Some
fans of the Los Angeles band have also posed the idea of the design
symbolizing an "angel's asshole." However, Kiedis stated in his book Scar
Tissue that the logo was something he just came up with when the label
asked for a logo to use in promotion of their first album. The eight-
pronged asterisk stands as a focal point, which is completely surrounded
by the bands lengthy name which appears clockwise and without spaces.

5. ACDC What does the motif mean?
Bob Defrin, the art director at Atlantic Records, called upon
Gerard Huerta to curate the band's lightning bolt logo,
which debuted on Let There Be Rock. The lightning rod split the
name in a definitive way while also playing off of the idea of
electricity. Meanwhile, the gothic style lettering was actually
inspired by Gutenberg's Bible. Fitting style for one of the most
energetic bands in rock history.
This motif is a global icon for ACDC, this features so
the audience will recognise the motif, and therefore

7. Overall this shows that artists in different genre’s have their own motif/logo
that defines them so that the audience can easily recognise them. Although I
did find pop and R&B artists are less likely to have a motif than house genre,
rock genre, nu-disco genre and the indie genre, this is possibly because these
genres are more likely to endure in gigs and open venues, where logos will be
shown whilst the artists is playing. Therefore I will use a motif when I am
creating my digipak and advertisement as it is a regular occurring thing for
artists to have their own motif/logo.
