BRANDING
WHAT IS BRANDING?
• To understand branding it is important to first understand what
brands are?
• Brands are: “A type of product manufactured by a particular
company under a particular name”
• This means that a company's products are branded by that
company, this is commonly done through the usage of logos and
images.
A FEW EXAMPLES
• The Apple logo Is marked upon all Apple products, branding them as such

ADVANCED DEFINITION
• A brand is the idea or image of a specific product/service that
consumers connect with, through identification, for example:
identifying the name, logo, slogan, of a specific company.
Branding is when that specific image or idea is marketed,
creating recognition among many people. It is done because a
brand is much easier to remember than individual names or
logos for every product a company sells. Advertising
professionals work on branding not only to build brand
recognition, but also to build good reputations and a set
standards, to either maintain or surpass in the future.
BRANDING CONTINUED
• “When working on branding, or building a brand, companies that
are using web pages and search engine optimization have a few
details to work out before being able to build a successful brand.
Coordinating domain names and brand names are an important
part of finding and keeping visitors and clients, as well as
branding a new company. Coordination of a domain name and
brand names lends identification to the idea or image of a
specific product or service, which in turn lets visitors easily
discovery the new brand.” – Brick marketing
