2. Majority of the respondents answered ‘Yes’, which suggests that our targeted
audience are interested in watching horror movies, this is a good thing because it
helps us to make a decisive choice whether or not to consider this particular target
group.
From the results below, 62.50% of respondents said they like to watch supernatural
horror movies. This gives an idea to us that our horror movie should be primarily
based on the genre ‘supernatural’ because that’s what the majority of our audience
prefer.
3. From the data presented below, it is evident that our audience
commonly use the TV and the internet to watch horror movies.
4. For question 7, we included a open-ended question for our respondents, so
they can answer in detail and clarify responses. By knowing what the
typical endings people see a lot in horror movies helps us to take into
consideration of the typical conventions that are used in horror movies.
With the answers from this question, we can develop and challenge the
typical conventions in previous horror movies, to use in our own short
horror movie, as our aim is to make it unique and different compared to the
rest.

in horror films are: the protagonist
tends to survive at the end and the
antagonist dies. Moreover, this
helps us to dictate that we should
NOT be using this typical ending in
our own movie because our goal is
to challenge conventions.
6. It’s useful to be aware of why our audience like to watch horror movies, so we
can make sure our short film delivers and meets the expectations of our
audience.
7. Most of the respondents have
answered saying they dislike horror
films that have a clichéd ending.
Therefore, we need to think of a
unique ending that would surely
spark an interest of our audience.
