Dear Parents,
5-16 October
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 We will be concentrating on developing the children’s counting skills in
large and small groups. The children enjoy our collection of number sacks
and have great fun guessing what is inside and counting how many objects
they can see.
 The children will get plenty of opportunity both inside and outside to
develop their balancing skills. As a group they will be able to devise and
build their own balancing track and then take turns having a go. The
equipment we have got allows the children to build it in many ways and at
different heights.
Activities to do at home
 Please encourage your children’s counting by counting objects eg stairs,
plates on the dining table and actions eg jumps, claps.
 We are focusing on the children’s understanding of words like isn’t and
wasn’t. Ask your child questions with these words in eg who isn’t wearing
shoes.
Notices
 The photographer apologises for any inconvenience caused by the mix up
with dates. Another date of Friday 9 October has been set for morning
photographs to take place.
 Please remember there will be a development day on Friday 23 October so
the children will not be attending Preschool that day.
 There will be a Harvest family service at church on Sunday 18 October at
10.30 am. All are welcome. There will be a letter with more details to
follow.
