 Digital India is a digital initiative which is a result of the vision of our honorable Prime
Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
 A programme to transform India into digital empowered society and knowledge
economy.
 Launched on 2nd Jul 2015. A approach especially to add rural people to the high speed
India.
 Digital India is an ambitious programme of Government of India projected at Rs 1,13,000
crores. This will be for preparing the India for the knowledge based transformation and
delivering good governance to citizens by synchronized and co-ordinated engagement
with both Central Government and State Government.
 The overall scope is to transforms people thinking to IT (Indian Talent) + IT
(Information Technology) = IT (India Tomorrow)

 The government aims to target nine 'Pillars of the Digital
India' beside various Digital Programme. They are:
 Broadband Highways
 Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity
 Public Internet Access Programme
 e-Governance – Reforming Government through

 Information for All
 Electronics Manufacturing
 Digital or IT for Jobs
 Early Harvest Programmes

should have Aadhar Card. It is necessary for the
purpose of unique identity.
 Once it is created then the Aadhar –id is connected
with different site and by this anyone can apply for an
things online by using e-sign and document can be
used by digital locker pay by paygov .

6. E-Governance
 This is the very important plan under digital india. It is for
the laymen to connect with the various government
department.
 National digital literacy mission is a dynamic and
integrated platform of digital literacy awareness, education
and capacity programmes that will help rural communities
to take lead in the global digital economy so that their
family can nurture the service provide by gov.
 Aadhar enabled biomertic attendance system for laymen to
check the attendance of any govt. employee.
 It also includes Jeevan pramaan for retire old person ,e-
post, e-sampark
