In this document, the filmmakers discuss filming Session 1 of their project "The Apprentice". They captured a high-angle over-the-shoulder shot of three actors discussing their mission using a tripod-mounted camera on an elevated surface. While the camera work was effective, they note the classroom location damaged the scene's mood and intend to re-film in a blacked-out drama room with lighting to create tension.

2. Over the shoulder and high angle
In this shot we have our three actors during filming for our
very last scene where we have the apprentices talking about
their mission.
For this scene we captured a high angle over the shoulder
shot. By doing this we are giving the audience prospective of
the two apprentices and showing the power of the main
apprentice.
We captured these angles by placing a camera on a tripod to
keep the camera steady and by placing the mounted camera
on the still table. This gave the camera elevation to enable us
to get the high angle.
The camera work of this shot worked well as it gave us two
different camera shots in one scene.
However, to improve we will need to change the Mise en
Scene , we will change the location of where we filmed. You
can clearly see that the location is a year 7 class room which
instantly kills the mood of the scene.
For our next draft we will have to change the location. We
should use a blacked out drama room where there are lights
which will create chiaroscuro lighting. This will mean the
scene will be more realistic as the location will not be
revealing and will not resemble a classroom as well as we will
be incorporating a under lit room which will also add tension.
