The itinerary includes arrival in Chiang Mai, Thailand on Sunday and a tour of the city. For the rest of the week, students will help care for elephants at the Elephant Nature Park by preparing food, washing elephants, learning about their treatment, and planting trees. Practical information discusses the flight details, weather, insurance, and food/drink. Students are asked to research Thailand, Chiang Mai, and elephants before the trip. Passport and visa copies are required.

2. Itinerary
We arrive in Chiang Mai on Sunday around lunchtime.
The Elephant National Park will meet us at the airport and take us to our hotel

All attractions in Chiang Mai and will include breakfast- lunch on arrival to park in the afternoon.
We will have a tour of the historical part of town, followed by a visit to the night Bazaar.
Monday & the rest of the week:
• The students will do the following:
• Prepare fruit and feed the elephants
• Wash them
• Learn about their treatment and training
• Learn about why they need to be saved
• Meet local school students
• Plant trees in the park
• Visit a local village

• This is a good time to travel in northern
Thailand.
• February sees Northern Thailand begin to
make the transition from the cool to the hot
season.
• Evenings will remain a little cool, but during
the day it will warm up.
• Chance of rain remains very low.
