PROGRAM STANDARD
The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her understanding of literature and other texts types for a deeper
appreciation of Philippine Culture and those of other countries.
GRADE LEVEL STANDARD
The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her understanding of literature and other text types
for a deeper appreciation of World Literature, including Philippine Literature.
CONTENT STANDARD
The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literatures and other text types serve as vehicles of expressing and resolving
conflicts among individuals or groups; also how to use strategies in critical reading, listening, and viewing, and affirmation and
negation markers to deliver impromptu and extemporaneous speeches.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD
The learner skilfully delivers a speech for a special occasion through utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal strategies
and ICT resources.
