• MC & Leave of Absence (LOA) are not part of the 50% attendance.
• Students are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in all
online lessons to ensure a fruitful learning experience.
6. Attendance
To adhere to SSG’s new requirement on record keeping for all
synchronous online lessons (conducted via MS Teams), we would
like to seek your cooperation on the following:
• Switch on your web cam for attendance-taking. Your lecturer
will let you know when to switch on the web cam so that
he/she can do a screen shot. You may switch off your web cam
after attendance is taken.
• All synchronous online lessons will be recorded from start till
end, and the videos will be stored for SSG’s audit purpose.
Please rest assured that only authorised staff has access to the

• Students without approved LOA/MC will be deemed as sat for & failed the assessment (given zero)

requirement even if he/she has MC/LOA for all the 9 absences. The student must have attended at least 8 lessons.)
Final Exam

• LOA/MC required to be submitted within 48 hours of absence from exam
