Disease Diary– Breast Cancer
One cause of breast cancer is if it is in your family history. But the causes can be something else are unclear unless you have genetics of breast cancer.
The most common sign and symptom of breast cancer are lumps or mass. Breast cancers can be tender, soft, or rounded, and can even be painful. Also
there can be: swelling of part or all of the breast, skin irritation or dimpling, breast or nipple pain, nipple retraction (turning inward), redness, scaliness,
thickening of the nipple or breast skin, and nipple discharge (other than breast milk).
One way of diagnoses for breast cancer is a mammogram. A mammogram is an x–ray picture of the breast. But the diagnostic mammogram

Breast Cancer Breast Self Examination
Background of the Study
Breast is a very vital portion of a female's body. Breast problems and diseases alike carcinoma get distress and sorrow to women and most women
should do everything in their capability to avoid its presence (Omoyeni, Oluwafeyikemi, & Irinoye, 2014).
According to American cancer society Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that starts in the cells of the breast. A malignant tumor is a set of cancer
cells that can develop into (invade) near tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body. The disease happens almost exclusively in women
(American Cancer Society, 2015).
For early identification of breast cancer Breast Self–Examination (BSE) is an important and inexpensive method.Breast Self–Examination (BSE) is the
examination done by individuals to help identify any abnormality within the breasts. It involves visually and by hand examining the breasts. It should
be done at the age of 20 years and monthly;rather a few days after an individual's menstrual period when the breasts are slight swollen. Breast
Self–Examination (BSE) involves a process whereby women inspect their breasts regularly to detect any abnormal swelling and ready for taking
medical care. For the early recognition of breast cancerBreast self–examination is a useful tool (Omoyeni, etal., 2014).
.According to American Cancer Society the use the of finger pads of the 3 middle fingers on your left hand to feel for lumps in the right breast. While

How To Store Breast Milk
Pumping is a wonderful way to store up breast milk to provide nutrition for your little one when you are away at work or home for the evening. After
you've taken the time to pump, it's important to take a few more minutes to store your breast milk properly. Doing so will keep it safe for your baby
to consume and will allow you to stockpile your breast milk for future use.
Handling Milk After Your Pumping Session
Congratulations on getting through your first pumping session. After you've finished pumping, carefully remove the pump from your breast, taking
care not to knock over the storage bottle. If you didn't wash your hands prior to pumping, it's a good idea to do so now to prevent germs from entering
the milk you've pumped.

These colors can include light yellow, blue and green hues. Once it's frozen, the milk will separate into layers, with the creamy, fat layer rising to the
top. After thawing your milk, gently swirl the milk in the bottle to combine these layers again. I didn't pump very much milk this morning. Can I add
more milk that I've pumped today to this portion?
Yes, you can. New milk can be added to previously refrigerated or frozen breast milk. It should never be added while it is still warm, however. Chill
the new milk in the refrigerator before adding it to the milk you previously pumped and stored.
My baby normally drinks six ounces of milk, but only drank four this morning. I hate seeing my milk go to waste. How can I prevent this?
Your baby may eat smaller or larger amount of milk at times. This can depend on his or her growth spurts and mood. Try storing your milk in
two–ounce or four–ounce portions to prevent milk from going to waste.
You've done the hard work and arranged the time to pump. Take the time to store your pumped milk correctly to provide your little one healthy milk for

Breast Enlargement Benefits
Natural Benefits of Massaging the Breasts:
Remove Toxins:
The massage increases the circulation of the lymph which contains infection–fighting cells and it is able to remove toxins. As a result, this massage can
also heal cancer. Massaging your breasts can save your life since you will notice tissue changes quicker and attack diseases like cancer at its first stage.
Breasts Enlargement:
You can stimulate your body to produce more hormones and bring them to breasts by massaging them. Apply certain oils and herb in order to quicken
the process of breast enlargement. Hormones usually influence the size of the breasts.
Relieve Tension:
To help yourself relieve that tension, massage your breasts and the increased circulation of blood and lymph

Breast Reconstruction Procedure
Although each breast reconstruction procedure in Orange County is unique, this procedure is usually performed in one of two ways: A breast
reconstruction with implants or a breast reconstruction with the use of a tissue expander, followed by implant placement.
The procedure that Dr. Farbod Esmailian chooses to perform at his office in Orange County will depend on the natural anatomy of the patient who is
undergoing the reconstruction procedure. He also takes into consideration the amount of tissue that was removed during the mastectomy.
Breast Reconstruction with Implants in Orange County

Esmailian determines that the stretched skin is sufficient to hold the size implant that the patient wants, he will schedule the breast reconstruction

Breast Reconstruction Surgery with a Tissue Expander in Orange County – Stage Two
During this second surgical procedure, Dr. Esmailian removes the expander and places the patient's permanent implant directly beneath the pectoral
muscle.
The two–stage breast reconstruction process is also referred to as delayed–immediate breast reconstruction because it gives patients time for other
treatment options. For example, if a patient needs radiation therapy, Dr. Esmailian waits until these treatments are complete before placing the breast
implants.
If a patient does not require radiation therapy, Dr. Esmailian can begin the reconstruction process, which usually starts with the placement of the tissue
expander. Dr. Esmailian and his staff are dedicated to providing patients with the high quality care they deserve. This is especially true when it comes
to individuals who are in need of breast reconstruction surgery due to a mastectomy. If you have undergone or need to undergo a mastectomy and

What Is Breast Cancer?
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers and the second leading cause of cancer–related death among women in the United States. Up to 6%
of breast cancers are advanced or metastatic at the time of diagnosis, requiring chemotherapy1, 2. Aberrant, accelerated growth is a hallmark of cancer3,
including breast cancer. The rapid expansion of treatments targeted to aberrant cell growth – for example, cell cycle targeted chemotherapies for the
treatment of metastatic breast cancer – allows for precise targeting of specific alterations in tumor cell proliferation pathway with the goal of reducing
tumor cellular proliferation and increase tumor cell death while minimizing toxicities associated with chemotherapy. The growing application of ...

targeted to aberrant breast cancer proliferation.
Cell cycle and proliferation control: Enhancing endocrine therapy with combination with cell cycle targeting agents
Proliferating cells must progress through 4 phases of cell cycle to divide (G1, S, G2 and M); however, they may exit cell cycle and enter quiescence
(G0) when stressed or deprived of their biological stimuli (for example in breast cancer with estrogen deprivation)7, 8. Cyclin–dependent kinases
(CDKs) play a key role in controlling cell cycle progression. Among these kinases, CDK4/6 is the key regulator of G1 to S transition by controlling
transcription of genes necessary for cell cycle progression. This kinase is activated upon binding to cyclin D, leading to expression of genes required
for S–phase entry9. This tightly regulated cyclin D–CDK4/6 complex is

Breast Reduction Benefits
Suffering From Back Pain? Consider Breast Reduction
Benefits of breast reduction for chronic back pain and other physical ailments.
Tremendously large breasts have been connected with a number of physical complaints including back pain, neck pain and even numbness and tingling
in the fingers in hands. They have also been associated with shortness of breath, shoulder pain, migraine headaches, poor posture, skin irritation and
infections, painful indentations from bra straps, an inability to play sports or take part in recreational activities and the inability to find clothing that
fits causing them to feel embarrassed and self–consciousness about their appearance.
If you are considering breast reduction surgery, also referred to as reduction mammaplasty, then you are one of thousands of women that have large
breasts that have probably suffered for years from one or more physical problems. Breast reduction is a commonly performed procedure that removes
excess fat, tissue and skin of overly large breasts and also includes reconstruction of the shape of the breast. It can also include reduction of the areola

Male Breast Cancer
Male Breast Cancer, Causes, Risk Factors and Prevention
By Istvan S Diego
Introduction
Notwithstanding that male breast cancer is a rare phenomenon, it is still possible. Such cases account for only 1% of all breast cancer. The American
Cancer Society forecasts that over 1,000 new cases of breast cancer in men will be diagnosed in 2010 ("Male Breast Cancer"). The survival rate in men
is lower than in women, mostly because men often report the symptoms of breast cancer too late ("Male Breast Cancer"). The disease is more likely
to spread, leaving many men with less hope that treatment will lead to recovery. The main reasons of that are first of all the lack of the research in
this field that leads to the second reason that is men's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Men with this condition have longer legs, a higher voice, and a thinner beard than average men do. Their testicles are smaller than usual and do not
produce functioning sperm cells, so the men are infertile. Compared with other men, they have lower levels of androgens (male hormones) and more
estrogens (female hormones). For this reason, they often develop gynecomastia (benign male breast growth) and have an increased risk of male breast
cancer. * Radiation exposure: A man whose chest area has been exposed to radiation (usually for treatment of a cancer inside the chest such as
Hodgkin's or non–Hodgkin's lymphoma) has an increased risk of developing breast cancer. * Liver disease: The liver plays an important role in sex
hormone metabolism by producing binding proteins, which carry the hormones in the blood. These binding proteins affect the hormones' activity. Men
with severe liver disease such as cirrhosis have relatively low levels of androgen activity and higher estrogen levels. For this reason, they may have an
increased risk of developing gynecomastia and breast cancer. * Estrogen treatment: Estrogen–related drugs are sometimes used in hormonal therapy of
men with prostate cancer. This treatment may cause a slight increase in breast cancer risk. However, this risk is small compared with the benefits of
this treatment in slowing the growth of prostate cancer. Men taking high doses of

Breast Anatomy and Physiology
The breasts or mammary glands are sometimes considered a part of the reproduction system. Structurally, they are modified sweat glands. They are
composed of mainly fat, breast tissue, nerves, veins, arteries, and connective tissues.
The breast is usually situated on top of the pectoral major muscles covering the second rib to the sixth or seventh rib and extends from the sternum to
the mid–axillary line. Breast tissue has an axillary tail which extends into the armpit region. Most breast cancer originates here. The nipple is usually
level with the fourth intercostal space in men and nulliparous women.

This system works via the five groups of axillary nodes, one group of interpectoral nodes, one group of parasternal nodes and ultimately subclavian
lymph trunk. Since axillary nodes provide seventy five percent of drainage, they are usually the first to be invaded by cancer cells.
Externally, each breast has a nipple that is made of erectile muscle tissue. These muscle tissue raises the nipples in response to stimulation or
breastfeeding. Surrounding the nipples are the areola and areolar glands. These glands are small pumps with oil (sebaceous) glands that provide
lubrication during breast feeding. Sometimes there will be hair growing on edge of the areola. This is normal especially in women on birth control pills.
The breast starts forming when the fetus is about five weeks old. It begins with mammary ridge which develops along the trunk from the axilla to the
groin. Then 15 to 20 branches of the solid epithelial columns are formed. These columns are then canalized before birth to form the lactiferous ducts.
When a baby is born, the breasts and most of their structures have already formed. Before puberty, male and female breasts are almost alike. It
consists of lactiferous ducts with no lobules (milk glands). At puberty, hormones created by the ovaries and pituitary gland cause the ducts to
proliferate and form solid inactive lobes in female. High

Breast cancer often starts off is the lobules that supply them with milk or the inner lining of milk ducts. A malignant tumor can spread to other parts of
the body, this usually starts from the breast and throughout the body. A lobular carcinoma is a breast cancer that its roots started off in the lobules.
While one that is developed from the ducts is called the ductal carcinoma. Of all cancer deaths worldwide, this includes both males and females,
eighteen point two percent are from breast cancer. The most common invasive cancer in females worldwide is breast cancer. The highest percentile of
affected genders are females. It accounts for sixteen percent of all female cancers and twenty–two point nine percent of invasive cancers in women.

Majority of lumps in the breast are not cancerous; but however it is best to get them check by a health care professional. More symptoms of breast
cancer can also be a rash around (or on) one of the nipples, swelling (lump) in one of the armpits, changes in the size or shape of breast, appearance
of nipple can change; may become sunken or inverted, one of the nipples has a discharge and or sometimes it may contain blood, and nipple–skin or
breast–skin may have started to peel, scale or flake.
Diagnosing Breast Cancer To be diagnosed with breast cancer is usually after a continuous routine of breast cancer screening or after detecting certain
signs and symptoms. Examples of diagnostic tests and procedures for breast cancer can be a breast exam, x–ray (mammogram), 2D combined with 3D

Gentle therapeutic breast massage and lymphatic breast care are ideal for maintaining healthy breasts, reducing pain, swelling and other breast problems.
Research shows that Regular massage can help prevent and detect breast cancer. According to Susun S. Weed, author of "Breast Cancer? Breast Health!
The Wise Woman Way," breast massage helps to prevent breast cancer by improving the immune system and movinglymph fluids through lymph nodes
under the arms.
Research indicates that our lifestyle choices create and support our breast health as they do overall health and wellness. Food and supplements,
exercise, eliminating exposure to toxins, eliminating smoking, wearing well fitted non–underwire bras, reducing stress and balancing hormones are a
great start. What isn 't discussed in prevention and general health is breast massage and maintaining healthy breast lymph.

physician to attain a preoperative clearance.
A Breast Lift with Augmentation in Manhattan: The Surgical Procedure
For your safety, on the night before your breast augmentation with a lift, you must avoid eating or drinking after midnight: This short 'fast' ensures that
you do not have anything in your stomach prior to your surgery.
A breast augmentation with a lift usually takes about three hours to complete. Dr. Naidu performs her surgical procedures in a NYC hospital or
ambulatory surgery center.
Patients do receive general anesthesia during their breast lift with augmentation. Since this is an outpatient procedure and patients receive anesthesia,
transportation to and from the surgery center must be arranged prior to the day of surgery. In addition, Dr. Naidu likes her patients to have someone
remain with them for at least the night following their breast lift with augmentation.

It appears in the form of lumps mostly near the nipples. It is a tendency common among women who are mid aged. It is mainly characterised by a
solitary lump large in size or several lumps of smaller size. However, smaller series of lumps far away from the nipples are tumours which are called
multiple papillomas and chances of cancer remains in this case.
Pregnancy
Breast discomfort or pain can also be experienced during pregnancy period. One of the many symptoms of pregnancy includes breasts getting swollen
along with increased tenderness. Other related symtoms may include irritation around the nipples. This results due to the excess level of estrogen and
progesterone produced.
External Impact
Any kinds of pain in the breasts experienced as a result of any external influence can be included under this category. For ex– injury as a result of a
fight, injury due to an accident, etc. These have no bearing on the hormonal balances of the body and purely prevails for issues and happenings that are

Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast Cancer Awareness Analysis Paper Grant it everyone knows that Breast Cancer Awareness is every year and most celebrated in October.
Almost every month except August and December, any kind of cancer is celebrated throughout the year. It is so common that we see the symbols of
Breast Cancer and see the advertisements but we do not know specifically the purpose for it. Many people just like the symbol because it is a pretty
pink bow that they have never seen before and others hardly miss seeing it. The advertisers have done a great job at showing and producing their
product. They gave many different ways of showing their audience their product as well. The breast cancer awareness sign is not just a symbol but it is
a symbolization of meaning. It gives the women that are suffering from breast cancer a light to look forward to and it gives them hope. They need
some kind of inspiration to keep their heads up from the struggle they are going through as well. Many people like to advertise and help out with
breast cancer. There are many activities people participate in like the fundraisers people plan on their own to help out or some people just donate
money. The breast cancer awareness ribbon symbolizes support for breast cancer treatments and finding a cure. The key motivation for the breast
cancer movement is to make every woman or girl, of any age, aware that it is important to get a checkup for a breast exam.

The Treatment Of The Breast Mound
Introduction
The breast mound is located between the 2nd and 6th ribs on top of the pectoralis major muscle and begins at the lateral edge of the sternum.
Exteriorly, the breast is covered by a layer of skin that has a protruding structure in the center called a nipple. The nipple has several sebaceous glands
and is bordered by a darkened circle called the areola. Interiorly, the breast is made up of mammary glands which are present in both males and female
breasts, but women have the ability to produce milk while men do not. The mammary glands are made up of lobes ranging in number from 15–25.
These lobes are made up of lobules that contain glandular alveoli which produces milk in females. Within the lobes is a duct called the lactiferous
duct that collects the milk produced by the lobules and carries it to an opening in the nipple. All of these structures that make up the mammary glands
are surrounded completely by a layer of superficial fascia. Finally, the breast is supplied with blood by the superior thoracic, acromiothoracic, and
subscapular arteries and contain about 20–30 lymph nodes. (textbook)
Pathophysiology
The most common types of cancer are ductal carcinoma in situ, invasive ductal carcinoma, and invasive lobar carcinoma. Ductal carcinoma in situ
occurs when the cancer cells are only seen in the epithelial cells that surround the lactiferous ducts. Invasive ductal carcinoma occurs when the
cancerous cells enter the breast ducts and the fatty tissue that

The Treatment Of Breast Cancer
Breast Cancer Surgeries that Involve Removal of the Entire Breast
A modified radical mastectomy – during this procedure, the surgical oncologist removes the entire cancerous breast, the lining that rests above the
chest muscles as well as most of the patient's lymph nodes that are located under her arm. In addition, patients may also need to have a portion of their
chest wall muscle removed.
A total mastectomy (simple mastectomy) – during this procedure, the oncologist removes the entire breast. During the same surgery (or after), the
oncologist may remove some of the lymph nodes that are located under the patient's arm. These lymph nodes are collected so that they can be biopsied.
A separate incision is required to obtain these samples.
Other Types of Mastectomies
A Nipple–Sparing Mastectomy
The surgical oncologist's job is to remove all of the cancerous breast tissue; subsequently, Dr. Gershenbaum's task is to reconstruct the patient's breasts
so they appear as natural–looking as possible. By having an experienced surgical oncologist and reconstructive surgeon, the chances of a successful
outcome, without compromise is greatly improved.
While Dr. G can reconstruct the patient a new nipple and areola, the preservation of this area during a mastectomy (when it is feasible) is beneficial to
the patient's final aesthetic results. Once complete, some nipple–sparing reconstructions resemble the results achieved through a cosmetic breast
augmentation.

Essay on Male Breast Cancer
"The term "breast cancer" refers to a malignant tumor that has developed from cells in the breast" (Breast Cancer,n.d). What society does not realize,
is that men have breasts. If men can have abnormal cell growths in the breast, they are except–able to breast cancer as well. Men need to be aware of
the prevention, diagnoses, and treatments for male breast cancer. Society links breast cancer to women, but what about the males in our society? Males

Meanwhile, in addition to the male's occupation, radiation exposure and age can lead to breast cancer developments ( National Cancer Institute,
2007). When these risk factors are revealed in a diagnoses of breast cancer, men have more advanced cancerous growths than women (Giordano,
2004). So men may think, how do I get breast cancer? Is it inherited?
Breast cancer is normally linked by society though genetics of female family members. Some men in society may think that they, personally, can not
get breast cancer because they are not women. While in today's society, some men normally link breasts to women. When men hear breast cancer, they
may think of women. According to Fackelmann, if a male family member has a history of prostate cancer, the risk for cancer increases throughout
other male or female family members (1992). Remember, the definition of cancer, abnormal cell growths of the breast tissue. Breast cancer does not

Basically the breasts are located off to the sides of the sternum, on the front of the chest wall between the second and sixth ribs. (Anatomy of the

of estrogen from the anterior pituitary. The base of each breast lies on top of the pectoralis major, obliquus externus abdominis, and serratus anterior

extends up into the axillary region. On the external surface of the breast, between the 4th and 5th ribs is the nipple. The nipple is made up of
contractile muscle fibers and is capable of becoming firm and erect when stimulated. The color of the nipple can range from a light pink to brown.
At the tip of the nipple there are up to twenty tiny openings from the lactiferous ducts. The circular area surrounding the nipple is called the areola.
The color of the areola may also range from a light pink to a dark brown. During pregnancy the areola will darken. Imbedded in the areola are
areolar glands which give the areola a slightly bumpy appearance. These glands secrete an oily kind of substance that acts as a skin protector during
breast feeding. (Textbook of Medical Physiology, Guyton, 2000) The breast tissue itself is a series of lobules and mammary ducts that form a pattern
similar to clusters of grapes. The lobules are round sacs that produce milk. The ducts are

Breast Cancer Summary
Breast Cancer Summary
(African American Women Breast Cancer Survivorship)
ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION: Breast cancer is a common diagnosed cancer among women. The cancer affects thousands of lives yearly. It's estimated that
30,700 new cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2016. The cause for breast cancer occurs when the cells begin to grow out of control. The cells
buildup and eventually form a tumor which can be felt as a lump around the breast area. African American women are the most affected by the cancer.
Breast cancer is the second common cancer deaths for African American women. Breast cancer incidence rates among African American women
increased drastically during the 1980s. The survival rate for African American women are 80% compared to 91% of white women during early
diagnosed stage. A diagnostic test use to make detailed pictures of the inside of the breast is Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The test itself

Upon completion of the test, they will send a copy to your doctor, whom will consult you on the results. The doctor will alert the patient of what is
needed for further treatment. Often, breast MRI have false positive results. It is an error that is not a common occurrence but still is an issue that
needs to be fixed. Other issues revolve around lack of health care for African American women. This will lead to delay in diagnosis. Income
inequality leads to bad health insurance which causes lack of access to test such as breast MRI.
CONCLUSION: The breast MRI is a safe procedure that helps detect breast cancer. The procedure itself will sometimes lead to false results.
Meaning it will show results that aren't cancerous at all. Patients will be guided through on what to do before, during, and after procedure. Major
backdrops, noticeably for African American women, is lack of health care which makes it less likely to get any breast MRI

Bras Vs Breast Feeding
Bras during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Do you need a new bra during pregnancy? Yes. Like the rest of your body, your breasts will increase too. Although it might be tempting to use the
existing bras, it would be best to invest in some new ones. The growing breasts are heavier and develop glandular tissues. Your breasts start producing
milk during the pregnancy and prepare for nursing your lil one. This adds a few pounds to the breasts which deserve some comfort.
When to get a new bra?
When you take off your bra and see indentations along the straps, it's time to purchase some new bras. The bras will start to feel too snug or your
breasts would start to spill out from the bra cups. As every pregnancy is different, everybody is different. Hence each woman'sbreast size increases
differently. The breast size increases during pregnancy and then might not increase until the last few months. Hence, depending on your body growth,
you might have to change bras accordingly. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Night Comfort
It is very uncomfortable to wear a bra at night. Although many women prefer not to wear one while they sleep, some do wear a bra since they want
to provide support to their growing breasts, even at night. If you wish to wear a bra at night, choose a bra that is extremely soft and not too tight. A
soft cotton bra is the best option since it allows your skin to get sufficient air to breathe.

Breast Cancer Essay
Breast Cancer Breast Cancer is a cancer that forms in tissues of the breast, usually the ducts (tubes that carry milk to the nipple) and lobules (glands
that make milk). It occurs in both men and women, although male breast cancer is rare. Anyone women could be at risk for breast cancer but, there are
factors that make some women more susceptible to breast cancer than others. A risk factor is anything that affects your chances of getting a particular
disease. Some can be controlled and some can't. The ones you can control are genetics or family history, and environmental exposures or behaviors
that might have happened in the past. The current and future behaviors can be controlled like exercise and a good diet. You also need to watch... Show

There have been cases were a man will get breast cancer and it is rare but it has happened. Men do need to check the same areas women do just to
make sure that if they would get it that it could be caught soon enough. Exercise will help prevent the chances of getting breast cancer as well,
studies show that exercising about 2 hours per week (swimming, walking, jogging, hiking, and riding a bicycle will reduce a women's chance of
getting breast cancer by 20%. Early detection is the key to beating or fighting a chronic disease like breast cancer and any other cancer or disease
out there. Finding it early enough makes it easy for your body to fight it off and beat it and it also makes it easier for the doctors to help you beat it.
There are also ways to make sure that you keep an eye on things yourself and that is by self–examination and the doctors say that every woman needs
to do this at least 2 a month. If there is ever any doubt and you think that something is wrong then make a doctor's appointment right away. In
conclusion, besides skin cancer, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. Just fewer than 30% of cancers in
women are breast cancers. That is why it is important to do self–examinations and always go to doctors' visits to make sure you are healthy. We've all

Explanations For Breast Cancer
Diagnosis is the process of finding the cause of a health problem. This problem is detected through physical examination. Most of the tests to find
out if you have breast cancer also show the stage of where your cancer is at. The following are a few tests done for diagnosis. Medical History test is a
record of present symptoms, risk factors and medical events/problems a person has had in the past. This includes a personal history of breast disease
or breast cancer, hormone replacement therapy, previous radiation therapy to the chest, and a family history of breast cancer, other cancers and
symptoms that may relate to breast cancer. A Physical examination a doctor will do the Clinical breast examination test (CBE) to check the breast and

All specialists specialize in different things such as surgery, radiation therapy and others in chemotherapy. Treatment plans are designed to meet
needs of people with cancer. Decisions for breast cancer are based on, the stage of the breast cancer. Treatment options for breast cancer are surgery,
in most cases a woman would be able to choose which type of breast cancer she would like to do. Although these are the options, breast–conserving
surgery, followed by radiation therapy or modified radical mastectomy. Other surgical procedures that may be done include axillary lymph node
dissection or sentinel lymph node biopsy offered in certain situations. Radiation therapy external beam radiation therapy is always given after
breast–conserving surgery. It is sometimes given after a mastectomy. Systemic radiation therapy may be asked to be done for women with breast
cancer that has spread to large areas of the bone, this is called bone metastases. Chemotherapy is an option for breast cancer that is early stage. The
chemotherapy drugs used depend on the stage of breast cancer. Chemotherapy includes many drugs. Breast cancer is mostly treated with an
anthracycline, a taxane or both types of drugs. Hormonal therapy is offered for hormone receptor positive breast cancer that is either early stage with
a low risk of recurrence, locally advanced, advanced or recurrent, and the type of hormonal therapy offered will depend on whether or not the woman
has reached menopause. The type of biological therapy offered will depend on the HER2 status of the breast

Grapeseed oil is also a great source of monosaturated fat, although it does not make for a great cooking oil.
Here are some of the things you should include in your daily meals:
Soy– This food comes in so many shapes, forms, and types but it always packs a lot of the necessary nutrients for breast tissue enlargement. Soy is
also an excellent source of protein and is good for anyone who suffer from chronic digestive distress
Alfalfa sprouts– This vegetable is rich in isoflavones and is also known as an effective breast milk stimulant. Its benefit as a breast enlargement food
has so far been backed purely by anecdotal evidence, but it is certainly worth including in your diet considering many women swear by it.
In any case, it is also full of vitamins and minerals that can only be good for you.
Poultry and Dairy Products– Whether its cheese, milk, or chicken eggs, unless you are getting your dairy and poultry products from free–range farms,
it is highly likely that they are infused with reproductive hormones.
Estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin are the hormones that control breast growth, and these are the same hormones injected into most dairy and
poultry products that people purchase and consume daily.
To make the most out of the vegetables and fruits, be sure to only half–cook them instead of boiling them to death since the nutrients will likely be

Breast Cancer Prevention Every year for the last fifty years the number of cases of breast cancer in women has steadily increased. The only cancer that
claims more women's lives in the United States is Lung Cancer.
(http://rex.nci.nih.gov/NCI_Pub_Interface/raterisk/rates42.html) This naturally causes concern among women, and thus the question of prevention is
immediately asked. With prevention of lung cancer, the easiest and most effective way is to avoid smoking completely. Breast cancer, on the other hand

Statistics show how countries around the world have rather different rates of breast cancer. From 1986 to 1988 the death rates of breast cancer victims
were compiled. England and Wales had the highest rate with 29.3 deaths per 100,000 women with breast cancer. Other European countries tended to
have the highest rates, and Asian countries had the lowest. Thailand had the lowest number of deaths with only one death per 100,000 women from
1986 to 1988. The United States ranked sixteenth of the fifty countries in the survey with a rate of 22.4 deaths per 100,000 women. (http:/

Incidence rates are roughly five times higher in northern Europe and North America than in Asia. (International Agency for Research on Cancer, 1992)
It has been shown that when women move from a country with a typically low rate of breast cancer to one with a higher rate, the woman's risk
gradually increases to that of a typical woman in the country with the higher rate. Thus, environmental and behavioral differences between the countries
must play an important role in an individual woman's breast cancer risk.
Dietary Fat

Female Breasts Essay
Female Breasts
In many works of art throughout history, female breasts have been featured prominently and in the nude. The symbolic meaning credited to the breast
was usually associated with fertility and nourishment, both spiritual and physical, and in the wider sense, with life. Eroticism, nourishment, abundance,
expression, feminine power, as well as feminine subservience, are different contradicting themes of the breast played out in time.
Different reiterating views of its importance and the way it should be displayed are used to reflect upon the views of women of the time and life in
society in general. At times, it is near–worshipped as a sign of sexuality, or as a sign of nourishment. Other times it is restricted down, ... Show more

The apodemos, a linen article worn by the Hetaerae, was considered to be the first brassiere (Silverman, Website). It, however, usually compressed the
breasts instead of accentuating them, reflecting the anti–feminine views of the time.
With the rise of Christianity, the breasts and the flesh in general were discouraged from being exposed. With rounded bellies gaining popularity, the
stomach was considered to be more of an important center of female sexuality (Broby–Johansen, 1968, p. 131).
This was modeled after the Virgin Mary whose round belly contained the savior (Yalom, 1997, p. 40). It wasn't until the fourteenth century and the
Renaissance that this began to change. Explosive creativity and art occurred despite great famine and disease. As people became more frolicsome,
clothing became more revealing. Such clothing including lowering the neckline to show cleavage (Latteire, 1998, p. 31). In the seventeenth century,
the breasts once again became the center of female attractiveness over the belly. The breast stood as a symbol of power and wealth at a time when
mercantilism was on the rise in Europe (Latteire, 1998, p. 32). The corset, which was previously used to flatten the breasts, was used to push in the
stomach and push up the breasts (Winston, Website). Louis XIV of France's personal taste was a factor in this, as he demanded lower necklines for all
the court women. He considered it a sign of respect to

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in the world (Breast). Every three minutes a woman is diagnosed: one in eight women will have

This cancer has a higher chance of spreading and a worse prognosis (Rosen, 2011).
Triple–negative breast cancer occurs when cells lack estrogen receptors and progesterone receptors from not having an excess of the HER2 protein
(Rosen, 2011). The gene HER2 helps cells grow, divide, and repair; this spreads the disease faster. HER2–positive breast cancer becomes a more
aggressive cancer and has a higher risk for recurrence (Chen, 2010).Typically found in younger women and African–American women; this cancer
grows and spreads quickly (Rosen, 2011).
Paget disease of the nipple starts in the breast ducts and spreads to the nipple; accounting for about 1% of breast cancers. The skin of the nipple
appears crusted, scaly, and red. The woman may experience burning or itching (Rosen, 2011).
Angiosarcoma begins in blood vessel or lymph vessel cells; usually developing as a complication of radiation treatments. This cancer grows and
spreads quickly (Rosen, 2011).
Risks increase for breast cancer as you age. Women are 100 times more likely to get breast cancer than men. The chance of breast cancer developing
becomes higher when a family member has cancer: 20 – 30% of women with breast cancer have a family history of cancer. Genes increase the chances
of breast cancer; women with a gene defect have an 80% chance of breast cancer (Chen, 2010). Only 5–10% of cancers are caused by an abnormality

accuracy of classification around 86%. The method has compared the entire image with other related works presents superiors values of accuracy and
sensitivity but lower specificity. Another comparison is made using analysis of area under the ROC curve, concern this, results from this work are
better for Lacunarity measures, but lower when the Hurst coefficient is used.
Motta et al. [6] developed an automated segmentation method, which used thresholding based on highest temperature of the breast for the detection of
lower border. Upper limit of region of interest (ROI) is obtained by detecting axilla. The center point of the segmented image is used for separating
right and left breast. But in an asymmetric breast, the center point of the breast may not detect right and left breast ROI separation point.
Qi et al. [9] used Canny edge detection followed by Hough transform for the detection of lower boundaries of the breast. They assumed that lower
breast boundary has a parabolic shape. In an abnormal and asymmetric breast, generalization of lower boundary as parabola may result in error in the
detection of ROI of breast.

In 2016, breast cancer was the commonest diagnosed cancer in women with 17 million cases diagnosed and a resultant 5 million deaths. In the Western
world, improved treatments and screening programmes have resulted in a 5–year survival of 80–90% (WHO, 2016). However, a third of breast cancer
patients are found to have distant metastases at diagnosis, bringing their 5–year survival rate down by 25% (Siegel et al., 2004). Metastasis occurs when
tumour cells travel through the vascular or lymphatic system and grow in distant organs, commonly bone, lung, liver and brain.
Current treatment involves surgical removal of the visible tumour bulk followed by chemo– and radio– therapy targeting distant spread. Breast cancer is

Tumour Micro–environment
The tumour stroma appears to be a major factor in tumour progression after initial tumour formation (Conklin and Keely, 2007). It initially protects
against tumourigenesis; but neoplastic cells cause changes and recruit various other cell lines with a multitude of functions, forming a tumour
micro–environment (TME). This is defined as "a heterogeneous population of cells consisting of the tumor bulk plus supporting cells" (Bussard et al.,
2006). The tumour cells recruit the stroma cells and cause a reactive phenotype, known as tumor–associated stromal cells (TASCs).
Mesenchymal stem cells, endothelial cells, pericytes, fibroblasts and various other immune cells are all components of the TME,each with specific
functions. When activated, they take on a similar in function to those found in inflammation and wound healing and cause fibroblast infiltration,
recruitment of immune cells, remodelling of the extracellular matrix. This is why cancer has been likened to a wound that never heals, the tumour
stroma being chronically activated and promoting growth and angiogenesis (Dvorak, 1984).
The rapid proliferation of tumour cells soon exhausts the existing vascular supply and brings about a hypoxic environment in the TME (Coussens and
Werb, 2005). Endothelial and stromal cells form a

When cancer is diagnosed, a stage is assigned to it, based on how advanced it is. Stage 0 is used to describe non–invasive breast cancers.
(Breastcancer.org) In stage 0, there is no evidence of cancer cells or non–cancerous abnormal cells. Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is the most
common type of non–invasive breast cancer. Another stage is stage IV, which is invasivebreast cancer that has spread beyond the breast and nearby
lymph nodes to other organs of the body. (Breastcancer.org) When cancer has metastasized, it typically spreads to other organs such as the lungs,
distant lymph nodes, skin, bone, liver, or brain. Cancer may be stage IV at first diagnosis or it can be a recurrence of a previous cancer that has spread

Females have a higher risk of obtaining breast cancer because of their structures of their breasts. Men have breasts too, but they don't have the

newborns. Men can contract the mutated BRCA 1 and BRCA2 genes, but their chances of getting breast is lower than females. Race can also be a
factor of breast cancer. During the period of 1980 to 1987, the rates of women of all races who has breast cancer incidences has increased swiftly.
This is limited to White women who are 50 and older, stable for African Americans who are 50 and older and White women who are 50 and younger,

  • 3. How To Store Breast Milk Pumping is a wonderful way to store up breast milk to provide nutrition for your little one when you are away at work or home for the evening. After you've taken the time to pump, it's important to take a few more minutes to store your breast milk properly. Doing so will keep it safe for your baby to consume and will allow you to stockpile your breast milk for future use. Handling Milk After Your Pumping Session Congratulations on getting through your first pumping session. After you've finished pumping, carefully remove the pump from your breast, taking care not to knock over the storage bottle. These colors can include light yellow, blue and green hues. Once it's frozen, the milk will separate into layers, with the creamy, fat layer rising to the top. After thawing your milk, gently swirl the milk in the bottle to combine these layers again. I didn't pump very much milk this morning. Can I add more milk that I've pumped today to this portion? Yes, you can. New milk can be added to previously refrigerated or frozen breast milk. It should never be added while it is still warm, however. Chill the new milk in the refrigerator before adding it to the milk you previously pumped and stored. My baby normally drinks six ounces of milk, but only drank four this morning. I hate seeing my milk go to waste. How can I prevent this? Your baby may eat smaller or larger amount of milk at times. This can depend on his or her growth spurts and mood. Try storing your milk in two–ounce or four–ounce portions to prevent milk from going to waste. You've done the hard work and arranged the time to pump. Take the time to store your pumped milk correctly to provide your little one healthy milk for months to

Breast Reconstruction Procedure Although each breast reconstruction procedure in Orange County is unique, this procedure is usually performed in one of two ways: A breast reconstruction with implants or a breast reconstruction with the use of a tissue expander, followed by implant placement. For example, if a patient needs radiation therapy, Dr. Esmailian waits until these treatments are complete before placing the breast implants. If a patient does not require radiation therapy, Dr. Esmailian can begin the reconstruction process, which usually starts with the placement of the tissue expander. Dr. Esmailian and his staff are dedicated to providing patients with the high quality care they deserve. This is especially true when it comes to individuals who are in need of breast reconstruction surgery due to a mastectomy. Up to 6% of breast cancers are advanced or metastatic at the time of diagnosis, requiring chemotherapy1, 2. Aberrant, accelerated growth is a hallmark of cancer3, including breast cancer. The rapid expansion of treatments targeted to aberrant cell growth – for example, cell cycle targeted chemotherapies for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer – allows for precise targeting of specific alterations in tumor cell proliferation pathway with the goal of reducing tumor cellular proliferation and increase tumor cell death while minimizing toxicities associated with chemotherapy. The growing application of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We review the underlying biology associated with cancer proliferation and cell cycle–targeted drugs, followed by a review of the mechanistic underpinnings of cell proliferation tracers, and finally, their application to therapy targeted to aberrant breast cancer proliferation. Cell cycle and proliferation control: Enhancing endocrine therapy with combination with cell cycle targeting agents Proliferating cells must progress through 4 phases of cell cycle to divide (G1, S, G2 and M); however, they may exit cell cycle and enter quiescence (G0) when stressed or deprived of their biological stimuli (for example in breast cancer with estrogen deprivation)7, 8. Cyclin–dependent kinases (CDKs) play a key role in controlling cell cycle progression. Among these kinases, CDK4/6 is the key regulator of G1 to S transition by controlling transcription of genes necessary for cell cycle progression. This kinase is activated upon binding to cyclin D, leading to expression of genes required for S–phase entry9. This tightly regulated cyclin D–CDK4/6 complex is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Male Breast Cancer Male Breast Cancer, Causes, Risk Factors and Prevention By Istvan S Diego Introduction Notwithstanding that male breast cancer is a rare phenomenon, it is still possible. Such cases account for only 1% of all breast cancer. The American Cancer Society forecasts that over 1,000 new cases of breast cancer in men will be diagnosed in 2010 ("Male Breast Cancer"). The survival rate in men is lower than in women, mostly because men often report the symptoms of breast cancer too late ("Male Breast Cancer"). The disease is more likely to spread, leaving many men with less hope that treatment will lead to recovery. The main reasons of that are first of all the lack of the research in this field that leads to the second reason that is men's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Men with this condition have longer legs, a higher voice, and a thinner beard than average men do. Their testicles are smaller than usual and do not produce functioning sperm cells, so the men are infertile. Compared with other men, they have lower levels of androgens (male hormones) and more estrogens (female hormones). For this reason, they often develop gynecomastia (benign male breast growth) and have an increased risk of male breast cancer. * Radiation exposure: A man whose chest area has been exposed to radiation (usually for treatment of a cancer inside the chest such as Hodgkin's or non–Hodgkin's lymphoma) has an increased risk of developing breast cancer. * Liver disease: The liver plays an important role in sex hormone metabolism by producing binding proteins, which carry the hormones in the blood. These binding proteins affect the hormones' activity. Men with severe liver disease such as cirrhosis have relatively low levels of androgen activity and higher estrogen levels. For this reason, they may have an increased risk of developing gynecomastia and breast cancer. * Estrogen treatment: Estrogen–related drugs are sometimes used in hormonal therapy of men with prostate cancer. This treatment may cause a slight increase in breast cancer risk. However, this risk is small compared with the benefits of this treatment in slowing the growth of prostate cancer. Structurally, they are modified sweat glands. They are composed of mainly fat, breast tissue, nerves, veins, arteries, and connective tissues. The breast is usually situated on top of the pectoral major muscles covering the second rib to the sixth or seventh rib and extends from the sternum to the mid–axillary line. Breast tissue has an axillary tail which extends into the armpit region. Most breast cancer originates here. This system works via the five groups of axillary nodes, one group of interpectoral nodes, one group of parasternal nodes and ultimately subclavian lymph trunk. Since axillary nodes provide seventy five percent of drainage, they are usually the first to be invaded by cancer cells. Externally, each breast has a nipple that is made of erectile muscle tissue. These muscle tissue raises the nipples in response to stimulation or breastfeeding. Surrounding the nipples are the areola and areolar glands. These glands are small pumps with oil (sebaceous) glands that provide lubrication during breast feeding. Sometimes there will be hair growing on edge of the areola. This is normal especially in women on birth control pills. The breast starts forming when the fetus is about five weeks old. It begins with mammary ridge which develops along the trunk from the axilla to the groin. Then 15 to 20 branches of the solid epithelial columns are formed. These columns are then canalized before birth to form the lactiferous ducts. When a baby is born, the breasts and most of their structures have already formed. Before puberty, male and female breasts are almost alike. It consists of lactiferous ducts with no lobules (milk glands). At puberty, hormones created by the ovaries and pituitary gland cause the ducts to proliferate and form solid inactive lobes in female. High

  • 23. The Treatment Of The Breast Mound Introduction The breast mound is located between the 2nd and 6th ribs on top of the pectoralis major muscle and begins at the lateral edge of the sternum. Exteriorly, the breast is covered by a layer of skin that has a protruding structure in the center called a nipple. The nipple has several sebaceous glands and is bordered by a darkened circle called the areola. Interiorly, the breast is made up of mammary glands which are present in both males and female breasts, but women have the ability to produce milk while men do not. The mammary glands are made up of lobes ranging in number from 15–25. These lobes are made up of lobules that contain glandular alveoli which produces milk in females. Within the lobes is a duct called the lactiferous duct that collects the milk produced by the lobules and carries it to an opening in the nipple. All of these structures that make up the mammary glands are surrounded completely by a layer of superficial fascia. Finally, the breast is supplied with blood by the superior thoracic, acromiothoracic, and subscapular arteries and contain about 20–30 lymph nodes. (textbook) Pathophysiology The most common types of cancer are ductal carcinoma in situ, invasive ductal carcinoma, and invasive lobar carcinoma. Triple–negative breast cancer occurs when cells lack estrogen receptors and progesterone receptors from not having an excess of the HER2 protein (Rosen, 2011). The gene HER2 helps cells grow, divide, and repair; this spreads the disease faster. HER2–positive breast cancer becomes a more aggressive cancer and has a higher risk for recurrence (Chen, 2010).Typically found in younger women and African–American women; this cancer grows and spreads quickly (Rosen, 2011). Paget disease of the nipple starts in the breast ducts and spreads to the nipple; accounting for about 1% of breast cancers. The skin of the nipple appears crusted, scaly, and red. The woman may experience burning or itching (Rosen, 2011). Angiosarcoma begins in blood vessel or lymph vessel cells; usually developing as a complication of radiation treatments. This cancer grows and spreads quickly (Rosen, 2011). Risks increase for breast cancer as you age. Women are 100 times more likely to get breast cancer than men. The chance of breast cancer developing becomes higher when a family member has cancer: 20 – 30% of women with breast cancer have a family history of cancer. Genes increase the chances of breast cancer; women with a gene defect have an 80% chance of breast cancer (Chen, 2010). Only 5–10% of cancers are caused by an abnormality inherited from

About one in eight women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime. There are many different types of breast cancer, different stages and different variations of the disease but I am going to focus on Malignant Breast Cancer. In the United States alone, more than 230,480 new cases of invasive cancer are diagnosed annually. Breast cancer can be acquired in many different ways. There are many different abnormal cells that occur in breast cancer patients, but some of the most common are interleukins. In normal patients, IL–2 cells cause proliferation of the T cells as well as differentiation of cytostatic T–lymphocytes, but in breast cancer patients the abnormal cell interferes will cell mediated immunity response. IL–6 cells are fibroblasts, macrophages and lymphocytes, but in cancer patients they promote tumor growth by upregulating antiapoptotic and angiogenic proteins in the tumor cells. IL–8 cells are a key factor in the inflammatory response, but in breast cancer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Cause Of Breast Abscess Breast abscess can be caused by several different factors. To begin with, it can develop as a defensive reaction against infections and similarly, due to presence of foreign objects which causes accumulation of pus in the breast tissue. In this case the effect manifested itself in form of a greenish drainage. Abscess can occur anywhere in the body. However, mostbreast abscess develops in women who are lactating and breast feeding. Breast abscess occurring in non lactating women are a bit unusual and initially can be a sign and symptom for breast cancer. A woman who has undergone breast cancer treatment is likely to have the abscess (Bosma, Morden, Klein, Neal, Knoepp & Patterson, 2016). The abscess is normally accompanied with pain and breast ... • 40. Breast Cancer Essay Breast cancer is the most commonly detected disease in females everywhere [1]. There are several efforts done to give solutions to Detect of breast cancer using thermal images. In this section we will make a review for some of these iterations. Araujo et al. [2] proposed a framework to use interval data to model breast strange shape as malignant, benign and cyst. They used a segmentation method that drawing ellipsoidal elements that selects the area of each breast. Ellipses were adjusted for the patient's breast. The morphological and thermal matrices are used to calculate minimum and maximum temperature values were extracted from. They presented a high accuracy supervised and unsupervised technique that used breast thermal images. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... [6] and Hough transform. They used range of temperature in ROI, the mean temperature, standard deviation and quantization of the higher tone in an eight level posterization. These features were extracted from the entire breast image and breast quadrants. Support vector machine classifier gave an accuracy of classification around 86%. The method has compared the entire image with other related works presents superiors values of accuracy and sensitivity but lower specificity. Another comparison is made using analysis of area under the ROC curve, concern this, results from this work are better for Lacunarity measures, but lower when the Hurst coefficient is used. Motta et al. [6] developed an automated segmentation method, which used thresholding based on highest temperature of the breast for the detection of lower border. Upper limit of region of interest (ROI) is obtained by detecting axilla. The center point of the segmented image is used for separating right and left breast. But in an asymmetric breast, the center point of the breast may not detect right and left breast ROI separation point. Qi et al. [9] used Canny edge detection followed by Hough transform for the detection of lower boundaries of the breast. They assumed that lower breast boundary has a parabolic shape. In an abnormal and asymmetric breast, generalization of lower boundary as parabola may result in error in the detection of ROI of breast. The Hough transform method is also ... • 41. Breast Reduction Breast reduction is a type of cosmetic plastic surgery that removes excess glandular tissue, fat, and skin from the breasts. This will not only aid in making the breasts more proportional to the rest of the body, but it also makes them lighter, firmer, and less prone to sagging. Many patients visit the Aesthetic Center by Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu for cosmetic plastic surgery and breast reductions in order to alleviate the back, neck, and shoulder pain they experience due to overly large breasts. Benefits of Breast Reduction There are many benefits that come from having a breast reduction procedure. • 42. Essay On Breast Cancer Breast Cancer In 2016, breast cancer was the commonest diagnosed cancer in women with 17 million cases diagnosed and a resultant 5 million deaths. In the Western world, improved treatments and screening programmes have resulted in a 5–year survival of 80–90% (WHO, 2016). However, a third of breast cancer patients are found to have distant metastases at diagnosis, bringing their 5–year survival rate down by 25% (Siegel et al., 2004). Metastasis occurs when tumour cells travel through the vascular or lymphatic system and grow in distant organs, commonly bone, lung, liver and brain. Current treatment involves surgical removal of the visible tumour bulk followed by chemo– and radio– therapy targeting distant spread. Breast cancer is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Tumour Micro–environment The tumour stroma appears to be a major factor in tumour progression after initial tumour formation (Conklin and Keely, 2007). It initially protects against tumourigenesis; but neoplastic cells cause changes and recruit various other cell lines with a multitude of functions, forming a tumour micro–environment (TME). This is defined as "a heterogeneous population of cells consisting of the tumor bulk plus supporting cells" (Bussard et al., 2006). The tumour cells recruit the stroma cells and cause a reactive phenotype, known as tumor–associated stromal cells (TASCs). Mesenchymal stem cells, endothelial cells, pericytes, fibroblasts and various other immune cells are all components of the TME,each with specific functions. When activated, they take on a similar in function to those found in inflammation and wound healing and cause fibroblast infiltration, recruitment of immune cells, remodelling of the extracellular matrix. This is why cancer has been likened to a wound that never heals, the tumour stroma being chronically activated and promoting growth and angiogenesis (Dvorak, 1984). The rapid proliferation of tumour cells soon exhausts the existing vascular supply and brings about a hypoxic environment in the TME (Coussens and Werb, 2005). Endothelial and stromal cells form a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Breastcancer.org) In stage 0, there is no evidence of cancer cells or non–cancerous abnormal cells. Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is the most common type of non–invasive breast cancer. Another stage is stage IV, which is invasivebreast cancer that has spread beyond the breast and nearby lymph nodes to other organs of the body. (Breastcancer.org) When cancer has metastasized, it typically spreads to other organs such as the lungs, distant lymph nodes, skin, bone, liver, or brain. This technique provides physiological information not only the anatomical features of woman breast. It is used to detect the thermal IR radiation emitted from human skin of the breasts. It uses a special kind of infrared camera to obtain an image which records the surface temperature distribution of the breasts. The concept of breast thermography as a diagnostic tool for cancer detection depends on the fact that the high metabolic rate of cancerous and precancerous tissues resulting in neoangeogenesis, supplying nutrients to tumor. As a result, the abnormal tissues temperature is higher compared to normal breast tissues temperature. As breast thermography focuses ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The tissues in the breasts changes four times throughout a woman's life – puberty, menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and after menopause. Puberty is the time where females begin developing their breasts, where they respond to hormonal changes. During this period, the ducts and milk glands from the breasts grow, causing the skin to stretch to accommodate the growth that results in a rounded appearance. They contain mammillary glands, which produces milk to tend to newborn babies. The breast is made up of a glandular, fatty, connective tissue. It contains lobules, ducts, fatty and connective...
