is the effective use of technological tools
in learning. As a concept, it concerns an
array of tools, such as media, machines
and networking hardware, as well as
considering underlying theoretical
perspectives for their effective
application.

analyzing problems
involved in all aspects
of human learning”.
It “consists of the
designs and
environments that
engage learners…and
reliable techniques or
method for engaging
learning such as
cognitive learning
strategies and critical
thinking skills”.
Is a theory about
how problems in
human learning
are identified and
solved.
Is a field involved
in applying a
complex ,
integrated process
to analyze and
solve problems in
human learning.
Is a field study
which is concerned
with the practice of
using educational
methods and
resources for the
ultimate goal of
facilitating the
learning process.
Is a profession like
teaching. It is made
up of organized effort
to implement the
theory, intellectual
technique and
practical aplication of
educational
technology
In a Nutshell
Technology is a blessing for man. With
technology, there is a lot the we can do which
we could not do then. Consider for example,
with cellphones, webcam, you will be closer to
someone miles and miles away.
However, when not used properly,
technology becomes a detriment to learning
and development.
Educational Technology:
Boon or Bane?
TECHNOLOGY

The learners from the technology and the
technology serves as a TEACHER.
Technology serves as source and presenter of
knowledge.
It is assumed that “knowledge is embedded
in the technology presents that knowledge to
a students”.
Technology like computers is seen as
productivity tool.
CONSTRUCTIVIST WAY
Educational technology serves as learning
tools to learn with.
It engages learners in active, constructive,
intentional, authentic and cooperative
learning.
It provides opportunities for technology and
learner interaction for meaningful learning.
1. Define Objective (DO)
setting of a specific goal that needs
to be achieved.
 It serves as a guide for the teacher
and the learners can what to learn.
2.Choose Appropriate Method (CAM)
selecting the appropriate methods of
teaching including the strategies and
technique that you will use.
Will you use inductive or deductive
approach?, specific to general to specific
3. Choose Appropriate Experience (CAE)
selecting the appropriate experiences
for the students.
Selecting the right learning activities for
the students.
Ex. Reading, writing, playing, baking,
dancing, etc.

Selecting the appropriate materials,
equipment and even facilities you will
use in achieving your objective.

5. Assign Personnel Roles (APR)

6. Implement The Instruction (ITI)
application of all the things you planned
and prepared in order to meet your
objective.

7. Evaluate Outcome (EO)
evaluating the outcome of the
discussion for us to know if our
objective is achieved or not.
It can be written evaluation or oral
evaluation.
8. Refine The Process (RP)
It is a process wherein if the
students passed the evaluation and
you achieved your objective then
you can proceed to the new lesson.

  • 4. The Students I am Marie Joyce Paquera, 18 years old. Currently studying at Cebu Technological University, Moalboal Campus, Moalboal, Cebu taking up Bachelor in Elementary Education Major in Content Education. The Student
  • 6. is the effective use of technological tools in learning. As a concept, it concerns an array of tools, such as media, machines and networking hardware, as well as considering underlying theoretical perspectives for their effective application. Educational Technology
  • 7. Educational Technology Is a “complex, integrated process involving people, procedure, ideas, devices and organization for analyzing problems involved in all aspects of human learning”. It “consists of the designs and environments that engage learners…and reliable techniques or method for engaging learning such as cognitive learning strategies and critical thinking skills”. Is a theory about how problems in human learning are identified and solved. Is a field involved in applying a complex , integrated process to analyze and solve problems in human learning. Is a field study which is concerned with the practice of using educational methods and resources for the ultimate goal of facilitating the learning process. Is a profession like teaching. It is made up of organized effort to implement the theory, intellectual technique and practical aplication of educational technology
  • 8. In a Nutshell Technology is a blessing for man. With technology, there is a lot the we can do which we could not do then. Consider for example, with cellphones, webcam, you will be closer to someone miles and miles away. However, when not used properly, technology becomes a detriment to learning and development. Educational Technology: Boon or Bane?
  • 9. TECHNOLOGY i.e. as delivery vehicles for instructional lessons. i.e. as partner in the learning process. Traditional Way Constructivist Way
  • 10. TRADITIONAL WAY The learners from the technology and the technology serves as a TEACHER. Technology serves as source and presenter of knowledge. It is assumed that “knowledge is embedded in the technology presents that knowledge to a students”. Technology like computers is seen as productivity tool.
  • 11. CONSTRUCTIVIST WAY Educational technology serves as learning tools to learn with. It engages learners in active, constructive, intentional, authentic and cooperative learning. It provides opportunities for technology and learner interaction for meaningful learning.

  • 14. 1. Define Objective (DO) setting of a specific goal that needs to be achieved.  It serves as a guide for the teacher and the learners can what to learn.
  • 15. 2.Choose Appropriate Method (CAM) selecting the appropriate methods of teaching including the strategies and technique that you will use. Will you use inductive or deductive approach?, specific to general to specific
  • 16. 3. Choose Appropriate Experience (CAE) selecting the appropriate experiences for the students. Selecting the right learning activities for the students. Ex. Reading, writing, playing, baking, dancing, etc.
  • 17. 4. SelectingMaterials, Equipment andFacilities (SMEF) Selecting the appropriate materials, equipment and even facilities you will use in achieving your objective. selecting the best instructional material to achieved the best learning outcome.
  • 18. 5. Assign Personnel Roles (APR) assigning or delegating task to the person in charge to help you meet your objective.
  • 19. 6. Implement The Instruction (ITI) application of all the things you planned and prepared in order to meet your objective. Engaging with the students Lesson proper
  • 20. 7. Evaluate Outcome (EO) evaluating the outcome of the discussion for us to know if our objective is achieved or not. It can be written evaluation or oral evaluation.
  • 21. 8. Refine The Process (RP) It is a process wherein if the students passed the evaluation and you achieved your objective then you can proceed to the new lesson.

  • 27. STUDENTS AFTER EDTECH 1 AND 2 What we learn in Ed Tech 1 and Ed Tech 2 prepare us pre-service teachers the guidelines in instructing a lesson to the class . What must be appropriate to use in teaching-learning environment is well- established.
