WinCC V5.00
According to our colleague Jan Kästner, the following is applicable:
Copying a project from one computer to another computer:
Case 1: After copying, the network is disconnected once again
In this case, the project has to be closed and can then be copied with the NT-Explorer. Then open the
project on the target computer, change the computer name and close the project (important !!!) and
then reopen.
Case 2: The two computers remain connected via the network
Close project. With the Project Duplicator and the button "Save as" , copy the project onto the other
computer. Then open the project on the target computer, change the computer name and close the
project (important !!!) and then reopen.
Case 3: Computers are not connected with a network
First of all, copy the project in a temporary directory with the Project Duplicator and "Save as". Then
compress it with WinZip, for example. Extract it on the target computer. Then open the project, change the
computer name and close the project (important !!!) and then reopen.
Copying two projects on the same computer into a different directory
Copy the project in a new path with the Project Duplicator and the button "Save as". In this case, the
project can be opened directly.
The "Copy" function with the Project Duplicator is only used with redundant WinCC-Servers.
Note: Except for ab_off , all projects are developed on one WinCC computer without network.
Case 2 is applicable for the demos.
Yours very truly,
Werner Meißner
