From creating a magazine using Quark Xpress and Photoshop, the author learned how to manipulate images and write effective cover lines. 1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. From using Quark Xpress and Photoshop I have learnt lot
about writing cover lines and how to manipulated images. For
example in the production of magazine I took screengrabs of
the progression of my product and so I could see how it
changes from start to finish. This can been seen in these
screengrabs and what I changed during the process of
production. I also took screengrabs of my preliminary task,
this is so I could then see how many production skills have
improved and my knowledge of conventions of magazines.

3. These screengrabs show how I have learnt about the
technology of Photoshop, I have learnt how to use drop
shadows for example as you can see from these screengrabs. I
have learnt this from analysing different professional music
magazines and seeing the little details that make a magazine
look more professional. I then went on to Photoshop and had
a go a using many different effects to make my text on my
magazine stand out. I have also learnt about different fonts
and what is more appropriate on a magazine front cover, as
you can see from the screengrabs I now know have a better
understanding on what is more effective as my final product
shows this.

4. I have also learnt on technology is a lot faster than it used to be
and now can do multiple things regarding a magazine. My
contents pages shows how I have learnt skills regarding the
techniques of Quark Xpress, it shows how I have a better
understanding of how to use fonts on this software and what
looks more professional. As you can see from my screengrabs
my final product looks more professional than my preliminary
task as I also got more familiar with the cameras what would
be an appropriate setting.
