Digital Imaging Narrative

1. To create my assignment, I had to do a lot of navigating through the site and
learning how things worked. Once I started experimenting with the different tools in
Adobe Photoshop, I came up with an idea to take the song “I’ve got the Whole World
in my Hands” and turn it into a little slogan for our recycling unit. I decided to get
two images off of Google, one was the Earth, and the other was a picture of a group
of kid’s hands all shaped to make the shape of a heart. I put both images in
Photoshop and lassoed the picture of the Earth and dragged it into the picture of the
hands. I sized the Earth so that it would be a perfect fit in the hands to look as if it
were holding it. After that I put the final touch on which included adding more
layers to the picture to create text. On the top I put, “We have the Whole World” and
on the bottom “In our hands,” creating a little play on words meaning multiple
things to this unit. After it was all complete I used the snipping tool to save the
picture and put it up on Live Text, thank goodness for that!
