So when his unexpected death came an autopsy was given. Within the autopsy the coroner had noticed the smell of cyanide. Authorities were then notified and checked if any friends or family may have done this in order to gain something which none had, so the authorities checked who all had access to the room that was Hospital staff. When they checked the short list and they learned of Harveys nickname "Angel of Death," they began to focus their investigation on Harvey. Which with the warrant the authorities had they looked in Harvey’s apartment and found a lot of incriminating evidence like jars of cyanide and arsenic, books on the occult and poisons, and a detailed description of the murders he had committed in Harvey’s diary.
