Lucy Salter describes the steps she took to create the contents page for her magazine, including choosing a background color, adding pictures and placing them in specific locations on the page, creating a title using a shadowed rectangle and masthead, adding page numbers to pictures to indicate related stories, and finally adding text listing the contents of the magazine.

2.  The first thing I did when making my
contents page is choose a background
colour and made my background…

3.  The next thing I did was grab my first
picture for my contents page, paste it in
and place it in the right place…

4.  Now I decided to do the title of the page,
I made a shadowed rectangle shape,
placed my masthead in there as well as
‘contents’

5.  In this step I placed the 2nd picture into
my contents page on a polarized designed
border. I put this in the bottom left hand
corner.

6.  Then I put the last 2 pictures onto the
page, the main one being a big double
picture of my feature and then a small
picture in the top left hand corner…

7.  I also had to had page numbers to all the
pictures to explain to readers where they
could find the stories that these pictures
relate to…

8.  Lastly I added text to my page, this
showing the contents of the rest of the
magazine!
