deregulating this industry. Many veteran drivers are in their retirement years and we will need an
influx of new drivers to take the helm. But unfortunately, many of these new drivers are leaving the
industry because they cannot handle the pressure put on them by the government. The American
highways are the safest they have ever been, so we need to stop thinking about how safe we can
make the roads, and start thinking about how we can keep these guys in the industry.

This was actually presented as the main reason for introducing electronic logbooks. Now that
sounds quite convincing and realistic. Don't you think so? The thing is – this is completely false
information. Or you can call it "fake news media" as it is very common these days. The problem I
found with this article is, that it had a lot of statements, but not a single fact or statistical number that
would be from legitimate source and could be checked. I did a quick research on Google.
Everything is online these days as you know. According to Federal Motor Carrier Safety

My recommendation on this scenario would be greater economic efficiencies can be achieved by
increasing truck size and weight carrying capacity of truck which would boost the economy in
general and would also help to reduce carbon foot
