2. Time Management
 Managing your time is a huge part of being successful
in college.
 When it is time to study be sure to put aside all
distractions. Make sure your phone is away from you
and the TV is off.
 Make sure that your prepared for your tasks so that you
don’t waste time looking for things you need.
 Make sure to do school work and study while your body
is most awake.

3. Engage in School Life
 Be sure to always show up for class and be on time.
 Make sure you do all of your assignments and
assigned reading to insure you don’t fall behind.
 Make sure to be mentally and physically ready to learn.
 Be sure to ask questions and be involved in class
discussions. Always ask your teacher or
classmates for help when needed.

4. Tips on Reading and Writing
 Read slowly and ask questions.
 Use descriptive vocabulary.
 Be sure to always remember who your audience is
when writing a paper.
 Ask for feedback on your papers and always edit any
mistakes.
