This document provides instructions for finding journals and periodicals available through Florida State University libraries. It outlines how to browse journals by category or search for a specific journal to see date ranges covered and links to access full text. For a specific article, the Citation Linker tool can be used to search journal issues. The document emphasizes that the Journals A-Z database should be used first to determine what resources FSU has access to before trying to access full text.

Results will show alphabetical list of
titles including:
• Date ranges covered.
• Any limitations such as embargos.
• Link to database or web site with
the journal.

If found, you should see the name,
issn, dates covered, and any
limitations. Select the date range to
access the journal.

The previous link took us to a ScienceDirect web
page. This will be different in each case, because
the journal may be available through different
databases or web sites.
Generally, you should be able to select your volume
and issue, and then locate an article.
Some databases will allow you to search within the
journal.

embargo. Notice that the most
recent issue does not provide
links to full-text for most
articles.

But, if you go back before the 18month embargo, you should see fulltext links for most articles.

To locate a specific article, you may
use the Citation Linker found to the
right of the Journals A-Z screen.

Enter as much known information
about the article as you can.
Depending on the amount of
information entered, you may be
taken directly to your article, or you
may need to browse an issue of the
journal for the article.
