Learning Improvement Plan
Teaching Reflection/ Improvement Plan I learned about the different learning styles from Kolb. There is
the Converger, Diverger, Assimilator, and Accommodator. Convergers learn by thinking and doing. They
learn by taking their ideas and put it into practice. Divergers learn by feeling and watching. They will
take experiences and think deeply about them and start with the "why". Assimilators learn by thinking
and watching, and will use the cognitive approach rather than thinking. Accommodators learn by feeling
and doing, accommodators take the cognitive approach versus simply thinking. I learned that I am most
likely a Diverger and Converger. I like to begin with the "why". I'm curious in that way and I absolutely
benefit from receiving constructive feedback, as a writer, artist, and former competitive swimmer. ...

The Head, Heart, and Hands can be a teaching method. Head is cognitive, hands( by doing), and heart is
by heart. Cognitive involves role play, lectures, brainstorming, etc. Behavioral methods is done through
experiments, role plays, public recognition, etc and affective methods are done through case studies,
stories, and dramas. Developing a lesson plan for teaching the Bible means first identifying the learners(
audience), 2nd identifying what to teach, 3rd– where are we going in this lesson, 4th ask these necessary
questions: How have we fallen short? How is the world broken? And how is Jesus and the Gospel the
answer?, 5th– identify the big idea, 6th– put it all together in a teaching outline, and lastly ask these
questions: Where is the big idea clearly emphasized? Are the VARK preferences effectively being taught
throughout the lesson? Does the lesson bridge the gap toward key

This also provides flexibility in the analysis of the responses. On the other hand, standardized
questionnaire items often represent the least common denominator in assessing people's attitudes,
orientations, circumstances, and experiences. By designing questions that will be appropriate for all
respondents, it is possible to miss what is most appropriate to many of the respondents (Babbie, 1992).
Some advantages of the self–administered survey are: Low cost. Extensive training is not required to
administer the survey. Processing and analysis are usually simpler and cheaper than for other methods.
The reduction in bias error. The questionnaire reduces the bias that might result from personal
characteristics of interviewers and/or their interviewing skills. Greater anonymity, absence of an
interviewer provides greater anonymity for the respondent. This is especially helpful when the survey
deals with sensitive issues such as questions about involvement in a gang, because respondents are more
likely to respond to sensitive questions when they are not face to face with an interviewer. Some of the
disadvantages are: Requires simple questions. The questions must be straightforward enough to be
comprehended solely on the basis of printed instructions and definitions. No opportunity for probing.
The answers must be accepted as final. Researchers have no opportunity to

Home Improvement Plan
For almost all homes, a kitchen is the hub of activity. A home is often judged clean based on the kitchen.
From that aroma to the tastiest dish prepared inside, the kitchen is a favourite spot for any person at
home. Along with those spices, a crisp remodel will add an overall polish and look to your home and
leads to overall home improvement. If you find some damages in your kitchen walls, countertops,
cabinets and on other attachments then you should go for the kitchen renovation project. Now you can
replace your old kitchen cabinets and install some latest designer cabinets with a maximum storage
space. Apart from that, there are some modern countertops available, which can make your kitchen more
aesthetic.
When Should You Renovate?

attend a leaky faucet. They will prepare the kitchen layout and they will show you some templates of
their previous work. So, you can choose the design from their templates, and they will incorporate the
same for your kitchen renovation.
The Three Kinds of Kitchen Renovations
1. Cosmetic Makeover: With a low budget and an intention to make small changes, this makeover is the
best one to go for. This one takes care of lighting, or replacing countertops and thereby ensuring to give a

Evaluation Of A Quality Improvement Plan
The successful aspect of this quality improvement plan was staff compliance to the checklist and
selected EBP interventions. Collaboration with high management to improve quality and nurse
performance lead to a developed system with the changing needs of performance improvement
initiatives. The project keeps surgical knowledge up to date and relevant with the support from the staff
and managers. The ability to provide feedback during huddle meeting intiated open communication. The
quality management team reported the data that led the direction for implementing the quality checklist.
Firstly, the nurse inclusion for routine surgical practice resulted in effective compliance, as every nurse
was able to accomplish all the EBP standards on the surgical checklist. This enhanced a nurse buy in for
efficient surgical patient care. The process worked due to agreement and helpfulness from all
stakeholders. Secondly, nurses appreciated the training and additional education needed to become
compliant for SSI reduction. This assisted in refreshing the knowledge of surgical information for
seasoned and new nurses. Some nurses used the education session to accomplish their performance
evaluation process. Thirdly, collaboration improves sharing of information between the nurses, surgeons
and high management. Furthermore, increasing communication between the nurses, patients, and their
family who then reported increased satisfaction with the surgical care. Lastly, the monitoring,

Abstract The premise of this paper is to identify deficiencies in daily managerial processes by using
systematic statistical process controls and make the necessary improvements. The paper will employ
various examples and calculations along with supporting data to explain control limits and its importance
to the statistical process control. The effects of seasonal factors and its relevance to a process will also be
highlighted and how confidence intervals are important in giving insights into data sets that improve the
entire statistical process control.

TIPS Treatment Improvement Plan
In this document Treatment Improvement Protocols (TIPS) is a developed program by the Center for
Substance Abuse Treatment also known as CSAT. This program plan is the treatment of substance use
disorders based on the specific needs of women. I was not aware of this program so I had learned quite a
few from this document. TIPS main mission is to build resilience and supporting recovery for people
that are risk of having mental or substance use disorders. They give out information and guidance for
women. TIPS focus on clinical practices and researches that are concentrated on substance abuse
treatment for women. I learned that there are differences between treating men and women. That you
have to do treatment based on women's needs and lifestyles. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are also different supports services in helping women live a healthy and drug–free life on their
own without the use substance abuse. Primary health care services I learned are the very first steps in
starting treatment. Life skills are all of the things includes leading into a healthy lifestyle. This document
goes hand in hand with learning many different assignments for my social work course. Examples of
social services are parenting and child development education program for those women that have
children and need support through education about child development. It was said that the more a
woman is psychologically and emotionally healthy a woman's family members are, then the more than
likely they are able to her remain in treatment and recovery. Being aware that gender plays a big role in
to treat substance abuse just as every individual have particular needs, women especially. There is more
evidence that shows women are more introduced to drugs by family members or boyfriends etc. On the
other hand, men are not as influenced by others as women are. Concluding, this document was able to
explain and teach me the gender differences related to substance use in women and how the treatments

C. FMEA Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) is a systematic method to evaluate process
improvement plans. The purpose of the FMEA is to identify ways the plan might fail and what impact
the failure would have on the process. In the scenario of the task, the hospital had a moderate sedation
policy that was not followed and this resulted in the death of Mr. B. The process improvement plan for
this sentinel event involves a policy change to the moderate sedation policy that includes the use of a
checklist with a time–out component. The FMEA for this process improvement plan will evaluate the
use of the checklist since it contains all elements of the new policy with–in the procedure checklist. A
team will be chosen for the FMEA that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) website provides the resources the team needs to test this
process. The team knows the process will improve the safety of procedures, they are not sure if the
checklist fits well into the work flow of procedures and are unsure if the checklist will be used as
intended. A decision is made to use the Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) cycle to test the use of the checklist.
IHI's Model for Improvement focuses on three areas: aim, measures, and changes. The aim or the goal is
assuring the checklist is used for every procedure. The team decides to test in the Interventional
Radiology (IR) department to evaluate the use of the checklist. For one month IR will use the checklist
on all procedures requiring moderate sedation. After the trial, the staff in this department will participate
in an evaluation of their experiences with the checklist use. The team will reconvene to address any
issues found during the trial and make improvements as needed (Lloyd, Murray &Provost,

My Plan For Continual Improvement
Part of my plan for continual improvement requires me to reflect on ideas yet implemented from my
previous individual learning plan. These experiences included inviting more professionals in the
community such as our newly organized soccer team, to come and speak to students. Since soccer is
embedded deeply in the Hispanic culture, this is a great way to connect to the cultural linguistic learners
of my school. Dong (2013) added the ELL's prior experience is a great resource, which should be
included in lessons. Other guest speakers would include plumbers, architects, and engineers giving the
students relevancy about schoolwork and real world application. Lastly, activities involving visiting
professional worksites and attending a NASA internship program were on the list of self–improvement
events with good intentions.
Good intentions not acted upon become just good ideas. These ideas never came to fruition for several
reasons. Full time instruction, forty hours per week of graduate studies, and two and a half our commutes
left little time to explore such wonderful opportunities. In addition, since the start of my degree program
my assignment has changed no longer needing many of these resources. However, one activity does
relate to my current placement, which is inviting athletes on all levels to share the importance of
education upon their chosen field. My timeline of generating this event will begin in September.
Collaborating with other professionals will assist in the

Improvement Plan The moderate sedation policy will be revised to require one on one nursing staff to
monitor patient from admission until discharge criteria is met. Patient vital sign parameters will be
included along with frequency of monitoring. All staff who assist or perform moderate sedation will
complete required training as described in the policy. Annual recertification will be completed by all
practitioners and registered nurses through continued education, observation, and implementation.
Change Theory The Change Theory was developed by Kurt Lewin. He identified three stages in change:
unfreezing, changing, and freezing. According to Lewin, in order to be successful in implementing a
change, people must go through all three steps. The first step is understanding that a change is necessary.
In the scenario, the staff may have been comfortable with their routine and disregarded the moderate
sedation policy because no sentinel events had occurred previously. To unfreeze this behavior the staff
must acknowledge their behavior and realize a change is needed. A thorough review of the findings that
lead to the death of Mr. B will may assist the staff in recognizing the need for change. The second step is
the "change". In this stage the staff would update the moderate sedation policy and implement the
recommended changes. Such as, one on one nursing monitoring, vital sign monitoring, and completing
or updating required education. The third is "Freezing". In this step the staff has implemented and
performed the desired changes until they have become the standard practice. This will reduce the

Professional Improvement Plan For Students
Professional Improvement Plan As an educator my beliefs regarding education and my overall student
teaching experiences go way beyond the basic stand and delivery mode. Student teaching consists of
rigorous lesson planning, creating innovative ideas, and finding ways to deliver the information so it will
reach each student in the classroom regardless of his or her disability. In fact, collaborative special
education is a field that crosses all borders; therefore as a teacher it is indicative that one creates the
proper atmosphere for each student on a case–by–case basis. Having afforded the opportunity to student

In order to meet the needs of the population that is assigned to a classroom it is important to research the
background of each student in order to be of assistance to each of their diverse learning styles.
Personal Core Beliefs:
 Each student will be given the opportunity to a fair and equal right to education in my classroom.
 I believe that I will be a true mentor and will make efforts to guide them in the correct way that they
should go.
 I will create a safe and warm atmosphere that will allow the students to prepare for learning.
 Teaching in my classroom will be student–centered and students will be held accountable for their
learning and modification of his or her behavior.
 Will attempt to create an atmosphere of where each student learns to work independently on his or her
level to avoid learned helplessness at all cost.
 Every child and student will be nurtured and pushed to grow within my classroom.
 As an educator I will ensure that the lesson plans are relatable, engaging, and they will in fact impact
the lives if each student.
 I will also initiate discourse in where students will teach the class at times to ensure that they feel that
their opinions matter within the classroom. During the student teaching weeks I have developed some
strengths in which will assist my overall teaching skills going forward. One in particular, when students

Parent Improvement Plan
Parent Involvement Plan
The federal government has spent many years researching the importance of parental involvement in
children's learning and development. The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001, covers a portion of
the years of research and time, and offers a definition of parent involvement as a regular, two–way and
meaningful communication about student learning and other school activities. These activities should
include assisting in their child's learning, being actively involved in their child's education at school,
serving as full partners in their child's education and being included in appropriate, in decision–making
and advisory committees to assist in the education of their child and others (NCLB, 2002). Other
agencies and divisions of education have also studied the effects of family and community involvement
on the academic success of students, and they have also found that there are positive student outcomes
when the family and community become involved with the students and schools. It is required that most

How to Guide How to Establish a Performance Improvement Plan A Performance Improvement Plan
(PIP), also known as a Performance Action Plan, is a great way to give struggling employees the
opportunity to succeed while still holding them accountable for past performance. It is not always clear
why an employee has poor performance. Did he or she not receive appropriate training? Does he or she
not understand the expectations of the job? Are there unforeseen roadblocks in the way? Until you really
allow for open dialogue and consistent feedback, you may not have provided an employee the
opportunity to be successful. Step 1: Getting started The first step in the Performance Improvement Plan

* If the employer determines in retrospect that the objectives were too hard or not completely within the
employee's control, the employer may decide to either extend the PIP or end the PIP due to the progress
that was observed. * If the employer determines the employee just isn't a good fit or isn't really trying to
improve even after all this effort, then the employer should terminate employment. When the employee
has responded positively by meeting the objectives, the employer should formally close the PIP and
allow the employee to continue employment. This should be a positive occasion for the employee, but be
sure the employee understands that continued good performance is expected. Two scenarios below
provide examples of PIP closure situations. Example 1 Scenario: An employee has perpetual problems
with attendance. Actions: 1. Documentation of problem or concern: A pattern of calling in sick on

ORGANIZATION QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN 1 Executive Summary The paper presents a
quality improvement plan for Scottsdale Memorial Hospital to reduce food wastage in the hospital. The
quality improvement plan observes that there is a lot of food wastage in the hospital result from patient
none adherence to the treatment dietary needs. The plan shows that counseling, medical doctors, nurses,
management and the kitchen staff will be engaged in the proposed improvement. For the implementation
of the plan, information from the staff and the patients will be gathered. This information will be
collected to facilitate its implementation by advising on the ideal standards of ensuring adherence to diet
by patients. The plan is expected to yield to lower cost by reducing waste, increased efficiency in
provision of the treatment and reduced mortality rate among patients. The plan will require alteration of
the staff working programs and call upon more training to increase their motivation in the
implementation of the plan. There is an additional need for kitchen staff to liaise with the medical staff
and the management in the implementation of the improvement plan. The plan will require that the staff
keeps records of the implementation providing guidance to the corrective measures necessary to see to

Bathroom Improvement Plan
It's the age old question – how do I quickly, easily and cost–effectively renovate my bathroom? Well, as
with anything, there are a million ways to do this, ranging from extremely expensive and complicated to
simple, cheap fixes which can transform the feel of your bathroom. We wanted to use this article to
showcase a few of the ways you can remodel your bathroom with small design elements to create a huge
change.
Paint
One of the simplest and most effective change to a bathroom, or any room for that matter, is to cover it
in a fresh coat of paint. This can dramatically change the look and feel of any bathroom and make it
seem like a more inviting and personal space. Dark, warm colors can portray a serene, somber mood
while light and vibrant yellows and blues can create an airy feel. Depending on how bad of shape your
bathroom is before you start your project, you may need to do some touch up work on the walls before
you begin. This may include sanding and drywall, most of which can be done by the weekend renovator.
For large holes or damage, it may be worth hiring a contractor to complete this for you.

willing to devote a little bit of time to finding them. Also, when you are considering how you are going

Measures
"We will find our baseline measurement using nurse surveys, audits and observation timings. We will
track what steps are covered and how long each step takes and the number of occurrences of near misses
due to inefficient handoffs relating to patient safety. We will also measure our patient baseline data from
current patient satisfaction surveys" N. Guyse (personal communication, February 22, 2014). Currently
we are inefficient and unsafe with handoff practices due to missing or incomplete information, multiple
processes used between the nursing staff, and multiple report out processes being practiced on the floor.
Multiple processes are causing confusion and incidental overtime. With multiple processes, information
is being missed between nursing staff, which is a safety concern due to the increased errors. Our
organization is working on the creation of one standardized process used between all employees to
ensure that all handoffs are efficient and safe. "We have implemented a group report out for nursing staff
in conjunction with the beside report outs" N. Guyse (personal communication, February 22, 2014).
Sample measures through patient and nurse satisfaction surveys and observations will be used to show if
we are making improvements with the change. Run charts will be used to show if improvements are
taking place over time and will help with improvements by depicting how well the handoff process is
performing. They will help in determining when changes are

Abstract
This operation improvement plan is to help improve the internal communication process at Toyota
between their employees and management. There has been a loss of ideas and knowledge, which is a
complete violation of their founding principles defined in the Toyota Way. With the suggested
recommendations, Toyota can once again reclaim its dominance in the world automobile market while at
the same time improving their operational efficiency and quality.

Toyota's Key Challenges
"Toyota's information and decision making has been highly centralized. The result: Top management in
Japan has been less sensitive to the expectations of regulators, culture and politics in overseas markets,
and consequently, they have been slower to respond to local problems. The reality is that Toyota's
problems were not caused by a faulty production system but by poor management decisions" (Cole,
2011, pg. 34). In the past, Toyota was a company that trained employees to embrace the Toyota Way and
pushed their employees to strive for continuous improvement and perfection. The upper management at
Toyota has strayed away from their core; founding principles that empowered their employees and
contributed to making them a successful automobile manufacturing juggernaut. A major source for of
their ongoing improvement and innovation has been from employees.
An analysis has been done for Toyota's management team, Appendix A, E and F, to show the root causes
and how these root causes affect the internal communication process of ideas, concerns and knowledge
between Toyota's upper management and its foreign–based employees. To summarize the problem into a
statement: "The Toyota Way and TPS places heavy emphasis teamwork, employee empowerment and
striving for continual improvement and perfection. To ensure these principles are always understood and
embraced, Toyota's management needs to be committed to making sure

The first way to share the information is to simply begin putting it into practice consistently. By
modeling these powerful impacts and showing clear results and improved learning, we will have other
educators wanting to duplicate what we are doing in our classrooms and in our interactions with others.
Also, we need to be willing to have difficult conversations with other staff members and begin to build
what is defined as partnership communication. This communication is based on a mutual trust and
affirmation of who we are as individuals with the recognition that we are not perfect and may need
others to help us see where we need to improve and become even better than we were at first. This can
be explained best by a simple story I heard. A famous painter had a pupil who showed great talent. The
pupil completed a work and told the painter that this was his opus, the greatest work he would ever
create. The painter proceeded to tell the pupil to destroy the work of art so that he could create
something greater in the future. Our goal should be to move good teachers to great, great teachers to
amazing, and all the while, watching students learn in better and more powerful

My Plan For Self Improvement
MY PLAN FOR SELF–IMPROVEMENT
1. In which two or three time management behaviors do you need to improve the most?
The three areas that require the most improvement are placing contacts/tasks in one place, having the
ability to say no when necessary and knowing exactly where the time goes in a day.
2. What steps can you take to improve these behaviors?
The steps that can be made to help improve my time management behaviors are to place all information
on my cellphone because I carry it with me everywhere I go. I also could link the calendar on my phone
to my home computer allowing me to plan ahead of time of what I may need to do when I get to work A
way that I could improve on stopping myself from taking every task that comes my way is to suggest
some else to do it or if in a leadership role delegate to someone. Ways that I can help to start tracking my
time management is keeping a log of how much time is spent doing each task. It is by no means a perfect
science, but it is a start.
3. What are the first two or three steps you will take?

Process Improvement And Implementation Plan
Process Improvement and Implementation Plan
A process improvement and implementation plan (PIP) is designed to help companies analyze their
present business processes by ascertaining probable complications within their selected procedures. This
extensive process will also help the company to identify and improve their business standards,
intentions, and give them the golden opportunity to correct potential difficulties within the chosen
processes. The process improvement and implementation plan will also allow the company to ensure that
each phase will not be subjugated before the project is successfully completed.
In addition, the plan will also help determine the financial aspects of this endeavor by establishing what's
needed for financial support from their shareholders and stockholders. This will typically involve using a
comprehensive list of tools, data, templates, expenditures, intentions, and schedules in order to fulfill the
businesses primary goals. For instance, implementing an easier website, lowering help and hold times,
and offering surveys to every customer regardless of the situation. These systematic approaches will also
help Verizon improve and implement each phase of the chosen processes, by increasing and improving
accountability and reliability, while remaining compliant with regulatory compliances such as the federal
communications commission (FCC).
However, in order to fully encompass this venture, one must actually write up a solid improvement

Medicine's widespread reports, To Err Is Human (2000) and Crossing the Quality Chasm (2001),
revealed widespread incidence of medical errors in U.S. hospitals, there has been a great deal of effort to
measure and improve the quality of hospital care. Progressive input has been made in establishing
quality indicators and risk adjustment components to compare quality across organizations, and in
analyzing processes and cultures in high–performing hospitals. There is a vast amount of knowledge to

Higher quality health care will be within the reach of consumers who learn to use comparative
performance data to select high–performing providers, hospitals, nursing homes, and health plans for
themselves and their family members (Marshall , Shekelle, Leatherman, & Brook, 2000). These
types of consumers actually stimulate the providers to enhance their performance. St. Joseph Medical
Center reports the results of their performance for heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia as part of a
national report. This information provides the consumer the ability to compare the quality of care
provided at St. Joseph to other hospitals in the area. The data is available on the CMS Website
http://www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov and the consumer/patient can compare the hospital to others in the
area. The hospital also participates in a Hospital Quality Demonstration Project with CMS and Premier
Inc. This project includes coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery and total hip/total knee surgery.
These graphs compare St. Joseph Medical Center to other hospitals participating in this project around
the nation for hip/knee and CABG surgeries. Performance measurement enables quality improvement
through the measurement of performance based upon quality indicators. Therefore, performance
measurements can lead to quality monitoring and ultimately quality improvements and the two are
dependent upon each other. External indicators

Organizational Improvement Plan
Organizational Improvement Plan Organizations need performance measures in order to reduce costs
and increase efficiency in a laboratory. Performance measures are indicators that are used to gauge
program performance. Performance measures can be either outcome or output measures. Outputs are the
services an organization provides to other. In other words, a laboratory provides patients with testing and
the results. An effective measurement system integrates initiatives, aligns organizational units and
improves performance. Organizations need measures for three purposes, to drive strategies into action, to
evaluate effectiveness of the actions, and to continuously improve processes.
By understanding how measurements will be used, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The issue with quality reporting is that most of the metrics available focus on outcome and not
necessarily process. While outcome is important it is the process that led to the successful outcome. The
measurement of overall progress of a process can be determined by metric data. Financial status relating
to cost savings and over expenditures can also be tracked using the data gathered from laboratory
metrics. Although metrics is very time consuming, it would be the most effective way to monitor
performance improvement in a laboratory. This method is the most thorough. The gathering and analysis
of the data can be overwhelming, but the time is well worth it in order to save an organization money in
the long run.
Information Technology Applications
Information technology has the potential to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of health care.
Drivers of investment in information technology include the promise of quality and efficiency gains.
Barriers include the cost and complexity of implementation which usually facilitates changes in work
processes.
Electronic Health Records
Although current quality measurement programs are a major advance, their ability to improve care is
constrained by the time lagged nature of current measurement systems. Rather than waiting for data to
be processed and reported through periodic quality reports, laboratories should have the capability of
continuously analyzing their own performances in order to make

OFT performance improvement
Policy
The OFT aims to ensure that there will be a fair and consistent approach to the enforcement of standards
of performance throughout the organisation. The performance improvement policy and procedures help
to promote fairness and consistency in the treatment of individuals and encourage improvement in
individual performance. In many cases early intervention by a staff manager can prevent an issue
escalating to a serious performance issue and this is therefore strongly recommended. HR (employee
relations) can be consulted at any stage of this process.
This policy and procedure applies to all employees 1 of the OFT whether permanent or fixed term. It

Employees subject to the procedure and participating in a performance improvement programme will not
receive progression increases to their salary until they have successfully completed the programme.
Informal action
In the first instance performance issues should be dealt with informally by the staff manager (in
discussion with the work manager where appropriate) and the employee. This is part of day to day
management and is intended to ensure that an employee is aware of what is expected of them and
prevent problems arising.
If there are issues that need to be addressed, targets for improvement should be set and a timescale for
review agreed. If this fails to deliver the necessary improvement in performance, formal action under
stage one of this policy and procedure will follow.
Formal action – stage one
Following consultation with HR, the staff manager will arrange a meeting with the employee, the
objective of which will be to:
Set out why and how the staff manager considers the required standards have not been met.
Provide an opportunity for the employee to explain the poor performance and ask any relevant questions.
Discuss measures, such as additional training or supervision, which may improve performance.

Universal Improvement Plan Analysis
Teachers never have enough time to accomplish all of the things that they are responsible for during a
day. However, it is important for them to have personal performance goals formulated around managing,
engaging, and growing students. Establishing goals and working on them systematically throughout the
school year with guidance from administration allows for professional growth throughout the school
building. One of my many take–aways from the book Leverage Leadership was that great teachers use
data driven instruction, receive a lot of feedback, and consistently focus on short and long–term
performance goals (Bambrick–Santoyo, 2012). I was fortunate to have the shared responsibility of
creating the Universal Improvement Plan (UIP) with my mentor this past school year. It was interesting
to use state data to write improvement goals at the schoolwide level. As a teacher, I have found it
difficult to use state testing data for student ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of my focus areas for this year was and continues to be around helping teachers become more
familiar with the multi–tiered systems of support (MTSS) process. It is very defeating to have a student
referred to special education without any intervention strategies in place. My long–range goal is to
develop lifelong learners, but to achieve this I have several short term goals in place. My performance
target is currently to have appropriate MTSS plans written for students who need academic and/or social
emotional support. I appreciated what Richard Sagor wrote about long–range goals. He specifically
pointed out that long–range goals are difficult but important because "if we do not deliberately focus on
something and measure our progress toward its attainment, it is unlikely to receive the attention it
deserves" (Sagor, p. 49). I am hoping that my short–term goal helps me demonstrate growth on my long–

The Airport Capital Improvement Plan
The Airport Capital Improvement Plan is the way FAA organizes which airports are in demand for
improvements. The system will identify, prioritize, and assign planning to work with the NPIAS. Once
the program finds which airports and projects to prioritize, it will work with the National Airspace
System to ensure the grants are expedited to those airports and continue to operate safely. Since safety is
the number one priority, the airport with projects that involve safety will always come at the top of the
list. The master plan can take some time to be completed and accepted, so cost estimates play a major
factor when the agencies are making their final decisions and any inaccurate calculations will delay the
process. Once the procedure is completed, the ACIP will deliver the funding to the airport through the
Airport Improvement Plan. By prioritizing the safety related projects, the FAA can then assure the nation
that the NAS remains safe and will continue to make improvements when required. In addition to
ensuring safety, these projects are increasing efficiency and reliability of the NAS. On average, the entire
process can take 3–5 years to get approved and funded, but in some cases it has taken more than the
average time.
The airports that are attempting to receive approval and funding for their projects must originate an
exceptional master plan. The projects have to target a doable schedule and budget. The designs and
construction blueprints are required to anticipate

Reflection On The Inclusion Improvement Plan
Reflection is an important part of the planning process. "Ongoing learning and reflective practice is one
of the five principles of the early years learning Framework" (DEEWR, 2010. p. 7). It gives the
educators an opportunity to look at the planning process, the successful areas of planning, the areas of
improvement and progress and to get motivated to work better for the learning of children. The
following reflection will highlight the merits of implementing the inclusion improvement plan, some of
the issues that impact on educators' capacity to provide an inclusive care environment and how can the
educators manage the competing demands of inclusion of children with additional needs, with the
demands of providing an inclusive environment for all children.
The inclusion improvement plan for Joshua caters to his special needs to a large extent. For example,
Joshua is a child with autism. "The term autism loosely groups a range of spectrums that share the
characteristics of difficulties in socialisation, communication and repetitive and restricted behaviour"
(EDU 30005, 2016). Children with special needs were not considered to be a part of the education
system and were being labeled as gifted or handicapped. However, with the change in the societies, the
concept of disability has also changed. As Winzer (2007) argues, "although there have always been
differences in a society, the construct and implications of what it means to be normal vary as the society
changes and

Since I have attempted to resolve my issue with nonverbal behavior before, the decision to improve that
skill was easy, but developing an overall effective plan that had at least a moderate potential for success
was an arduous process. I started by listing the common nonverbal behaviors I exhibit during these
episodes that obstruct any interpersonal communications; sent or received. Next, I analyzed the list to
determine how universal each behavior was in my daily interactions. Though, I thought there would have
been more, I was surprised to find only a few of my nonverbal behaviors reappeared in different
interactions. I continued to revise the list until the entries were mostly unique to the situation. As a result,
the revised list is as follows: fidgeting, rubbing my lower back, itching one of my legs, squirming in my

Evaluation Of A Improvement Plan
Improvement plan must be in place in order to decrease the likelihood of a reoccurrence of the outcome
of the Mr. B scenario. The model for Improvement gives us the foundation and the frame work for doing
improvement work. It is structured around several key components. There are 3 questions that are
presented on this model. First question is what is your aim? We have also ask ourselves how good we
want to be and by when we will like to achieve it. Second question is how would you know a change is
an improvement? Which gets to measurements, we want to look at process and outcome measures. The
third question is what changes can we put in place to achieve the aim? What change we can put into
place that you can tract with data and you can match back up against your aim (Lloyd, 2009).
B.) The improvement plan gets carried out with daily work with a team through the PDSA cycle. The
PDSA cycle stands for Plan, DO, Study, and Act. The PDSA is where we do testing on data to day. We
take the idea and place it in the PDSA cycle, where we plan it, do it, study it, and then we act. We change
the plan base on the feedback we get in the study step (Lloyd, 2009). In regard to Mr. B's scenario, the
aim of the improvement plan is to screen each patient that comes come to the emergency room for Deep

question that may be related to signs and symptoms of DVT. We can also have standing

Disease Improvement Plan
In the United States (U.S.), chronic diseases are the leading cause of death and disability. Chronic
disease activities are sparsely delivered in the U.S. despite the fact that 7 out of 10 deaths are caused by
chronic diseases, every year; and 75% of our health care costs 75% of health care costs are attributable
to preventable diseases.1,2 One main reason for this imbalance is that funding for chronic disease
prevention activities is limited. In fact, only 3% of the U.S. total health expenditure is devoted to public
health.3 The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the leading federal agency for public
health spends an estimated 70% of its budget on infection disease prevention and control, with less than
10% of its spending devoted to chronic disease prevention.4
Background
Local public health agencies can serve as effective vehicles for delivering community–based chronic
disease activities because of their wide geographic distribution across the U.S., their statutory authority
to implement public health laws and programs, and their relationships with diverse community
stakeholders (CITATION). However, the limited availability of funding has historically restricted local

I will try to see if anything will be happening while it grows, or if anything different will happen with

of plant. Possibly I will learn something that I didn't expect to find out from this plant on this project.
The health benefits it has is that the seeds are very high in vitamin A and E. It also has a natural source of
enzymes. A person is able to easily absorb the nutritional benefits that the seeds gives off. If someone
were to have symptoms of asthma the plant would be able to reduce the symptoms of it. There was
plenty more medical uses for the plant but, that's just some of what it does.
The problems I may face is bugs or my dog trying to dig it up and destroy my project. I will most likely
have the plant inside my house to try and prevent something bad from happening to it. I will try to avoid
as many problems as I can. I will have to worry about because if I keep it inside by a window where no

Learning Improvement Plan

  • 1. Learning Improvement Plan Teaching Reflection/ Improvement Plan I learned about the different learning styles from Kolb. There is the Converger, Diverger, Assimilator, and Accommodator. Convergers learn by thinking and doing. They learn by taking their ideas and put it into practice. Divergers learn by feeling and watching. They will take experiences and think deeply about them and start with the "why". Assimilators learn by thinking and watching, and will use the cognitive approach rather than thinking. Accommodators learn by feeling and doing, accommodators take the cognitive approach versus simply thinking. I learned that I am most likely a Diverger and Converger. I like to begin with the "why". I'm curious in that way and I absolutely benefit from receiving constructive feedback, as a writer, artist, and former competitive swimmer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Head, Heart, and Hands can be a teaching method. Head is cognitive, hands( by doing), and heart is by heart. Developing a lesson plan for teaching the Bible means first identifying the learners( audience), 2nd identifying what to teach, 3rd– where are we going in this lesson, 4th ask these necessary questions: How have we fallen short? How is the world broken? And how is Jesus and the Gospel the answer?, 5th– identify the big idea, 6th– put it all together in a teaching outline, and lastly ask these questions: Where is the big idea clearly emphasized? Are the VARK preferences effectively being taught throughout the lesson? Does the lesson bridge the gap toward key ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This also provides flexibility in the analysis of the responses. On the other hand, standardized questionnaire items often represent the least common denominator in assessing people's attitudes, orientations, circumstances, and experiences. By designing questions that will be appropriate for all respondents, it is possible to miss what is most appropriate to many of the respondents (Babbie, 1992). Some advantages of the self–administered survey are: Low cost. Extensive training is not required to administer the survey. Processing and analysis are usually simpler and cheaper than for other methods. The reduction in bias error. The questionnaire reduces the bias that might result from personal characteristics of interviewers and/or their interviewing skills. Greater anonymity, absence of an interviewer provides greater anonymity for the respondent. This is especially helpful when the survey deals with sensitive issues such as questions about involvement in a gang, because respondents are more likely to respond to sensitive questions when they are not face to face with an interviewer. Some of the disadvantages are: Requires simple questions. The questions must be straightforward enough to be comprehended solely on the basis of printed instructions and definitions. No opportunity for probing. The answers must be accepted as final. Researchers have no opportunity to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Collaboration with high management to improve quality and nurse performance lead to a developed system with the changing needs of performance improvement initiatives. The project keeps surgical knowledge up to date and relevant with the support from the staff and managers. The ability to provide feedback during huddle meeting intiated open communication. • 7. Process Improvement Plan C. FMEA Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) is a systematic method to evaluate process improvement plans. The purpose of the FMEA is to identify ways the plan might fail and what impact the failure would have on the process. In the scenario of the task, the hospital had a moderate sedation policy that was not followed and this resulted in the death of Mr. B. The process improvement plan for this sentinel event involves a policy change to the moderate sedation policy that includes the use of a checklist with a time–out component. • 8. My Plan For Continual Improvement Part of my plan for continual improvement requires me to reflect on ideas yet implemented from my previous individual learning plan. These experiences included inviting more professionals in the community such as our newly organized soccer team, to come and speak to students. Since soccer is embedded deeply in the Hispanic culture, this is a great way to connect to the cultural linguistic learners of my school. Dong (2013) added the ELL's prior experience is a great resource, which should be included in lessons. Other guest speakers would include plumbers, architects, and engineers giving the students relevancy about schoolwork and real world application. Lastly, activities involving visiting professional worksites and attending a NASA internship program were on the list of self–improvement events with good intentions. Good intentions not acted upon become just good ideas. These ideas never came to fruition for several reasons. Full time instruction, forty hours per week of graduate studies, and two and a half our commutes left little time to explore such wonderful opportunities. In addition, since the start of my degree program my assignment has changed no longer needing many of these resources. However, one activity does relate to my current placement, which is inviting athletes on all levels to share the importance of education upon their chosen field. My timeline of generating this event will begin in September. Collaborating with other professionals will assist in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Nursing Improvement Plan Paper Improvement Plan The moderate sedation policy will be revised to require one on one nursing staff to monitor patient from admission until discharge criteria is met. Patient vital sign parameters will be included along with frequency of monitoring. All staff who assist or perform moderate sedation will complete required training as described in the policy. Annual recertification will be completed by all practitioners and registered nurses through continued education, observation, and implementation. Change Theory The Change Theory was developed by Kurt Lewin. He identified three stages in change: unfreezing, changing, and freezing. According to Lewin, in order to be successful in implementing a change, people must go through all three steps. The first step is understanding that a change is necessary. In the scenario, the staff may have been comfortable with their routine and disregarded the moderate sedation policy because no sentinel events had occurred previously. To unfreeze this behavior the staff must acknowledge their behavior and realize a change is needed. A thorough review of the findings that lead to the death of Mr. B will may assist the staff in recognizing the need for change. The second step is the "change". In this stage the staff would update the moderate sedation policy and implement the recommended changes. Such as, one on one nursing monitoring, vital sign monitoring, and completing or updating required education. The third is "Freezing". In this step the staff has implemented and performed the desired changes until they have become the standard practice. This will reduce the likelihood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 10. Professional Improvement Plan For Students Professional Improvement Plan As an educator my beliefs regarding education and my overall student teaching experiences go way beyond the basic stand and delivery mode. Student teaching consists of rigorous lesson planning, creating innovative ideas, and finding ways to deliver the information so it will reach each student in the classroom regardless of his or her disability. In fact, collaborative special education is a field that crosses all borders; therefore as a teacher it is indicative that one creates the proper atmosphere for each student on a case–by–case basis. • 11. Parent Improvement Plan Parent Involvement Plan The federal government has spent many years researching the importance of parental involvement in children's learning and development. The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001, covers a portion of the years of research and time, and offers a definition of parent involvement as a regular, two–way and meaningful communication about student learning and other school activities. These activities should include assisting in their child's learning, being actively involved in their child's education at school, serving as full partners in their child's education and being included in appropriate, in decision–making and advisory committees to assist in the education of their child and others (NCLB, 2002). Other agencies and divisions of education have also studied the effects of family and community involvement on the academic success of students, and they have also found that there are positive student outcomes when the family and community become involved with the students and schools. It is required that most Title I schools develop a Parental and Community Involvement plan as a part of the regulations. A great Parental and Community Involvement plan will include its philosophy, its goals and purpose, the action and reflection. What is our philosophy? The basic philosophy of this Parental and Community Involvement plan is to become full partners in the growth, well–being and overall development of the children it will serve by working in collaboration ... It's been three weeks since HR and myself met with you to officially notify your enrollment to the performance improvement plan. Normally, the performance progress review meeting takes place within two weeks of your enrollment. However since you choose to take a full week vacation right after we informed you about the performance improvement plan, I had to push our meeting until the third week (04/08/16). The re–schedule of our meeting to a later day give me two full weeks to evaluate your progress. For the past two weeks, your time sheet clock in and out is accordingly with what we have requested. There are 3 questions that are presented on this model. First question is what is your aim? We have also ask ourselves how good we want to be and by when we will like to achieve it. Second question is how would you know a change is an improvement? Which gets to measurements, we want to look at process and outcome measures. The third question is what changes can we put in place to achieve the aim? What change we can put into place that you can tract with data and you can match back up against your aim (Lloyd, 2009). B.) The improvement plan gets carried out with daily work with a team through the PDSA cycle. The PDSA cycle stands for Plan, DO, Study, and Act. The PDSA is where we do testing on data to day. We take the idea and place it in the PDSA cycle, where we plan it, do it, study it, and then we act. We change the plan base on the feedback we get in the study step (Lloyd, 2009). In regard to Mr. B's scenario, the aim of the improvement plan is to screen each patient that comes come to the emergency room for Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). We will have a DVT flowchart available to the nurse to use to ask each patient question that may be related to signs and symptoms of DVT. We can also have standing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Class Improvement Plan We focus on two goals on our improvement plan which are increasing the graduation rate and student achievement. I was surprised when I learned the main reason which put us in the 5% of the lowest achieving schools in the state. The reason was mainly our graduation rate in the state report card which reflects the results from two years back. As it is shown in the graphic chart below there is a dramatic drop in the graduation rate in 2013. According to my simple calculations, the graduation rate should have been more than 46%, we had 36 seniors and 32 of them were graduated which makes 88%. Was there any formula that we don't know? I shared my concern with my principal. Our principal who is experiencing the first year at high school wasn't ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to my observations, one of the main problems is collecting and charting the data. Our school has a very useful database system. We are able to see the scores of EOC, NWEA, Explore, PLAN, and ACT practice tests. We are also able to pull out the reports including item analysis, performance index score, individual reports, proficiency scores, student error report, and growth target report. I heard several teachers saying that they don't know how to access those reports or they don't feel comfortable with what to do with the data. Training about using the data would help to solve this problem. Teachers who are using the data effectively can help to other teachers. The ways about how to train teachers should be determined in the Building Leadership Team meetings. Each BLT member can be in charge of training their own TBT ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Disease Improvement Plan In the United States (U.S.), chronic diseases are the leading cause of death and disability. Chronic disease activities are sparsely delivered in the U.S. despite the fact that 7 out of 10 deaths are caused by chronic diseases, every year; and 75% of our health care costs 75% of health care costs are attributable to preventable diseases.1,2 One main reason for this imbalance is that funding for chronic disease prevention activities is limited. In fact, only 3% of the U.S. total health expenditure is devoted to public health.3 The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the leading federal agency for public health spends an estimated 70% of its budget on infection disease prevention and control, with less than 10% of its spending devoted to chronic disease prevention.4 Background Local public health agencies can serve as effective vehicles for delivering community–based chronic disease activities because of their wide geographic distribution across the U.S., their statutory authority to implement public health laws and programs, and their relationships with diverse community stakeholders (CITATION). However, the limited availability of funding has historically restricted local public health agency ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 39. Performance Improvement Plan The success of any performance improvement plan depends on how well thought out and implemented it is. Failure to recognize and correct performance issues can result in undesirable outcomes for the organization, particularly with finance. A large number of resources go into recruiting, hiring and training new employees. Additionally, there are financial implications when employees leave such as, off–boarding, paying out benefits, etc. According to the Centers for American Progress (2012), "the average cost to replace an employee is 21.4% of their annual salary." (Boushey & Glynn, 2012). High turnover rates can put a strain on an organization's finances at a time when payment models are shifting and reimbursement is decreasing. With the success ... • 41. Plant Improvement Plan The project will be about sunflowers. Home Depot will be the main selection for buying the seeds. I will buy everything I need on 9/23/17. The reason why I will be using sunflowers is because they are inexpensive and it will only take 2–3 weeks to grow. My plan is to have everything set up by the end of the week. The tools I will need is soil, a pot, and sunflower seeds. The main people that I might need help from is my aunt and uncle. It will be important to me because its one of the biggest projects for this class. Sunflowers help the environment by producing plant matter from carbon dioxide. They can be used for certain oils for example, one of the main oils is called biodiesel. Sunflowers can actually help some vegetables. One way they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I will try to see if anything will be happening while it grows, or if anything different will happen with this plant then with others. I plan to see how long its life span is and with the proper care the plant may exceed what most people estimated it may live. Overall, there's only so much that happens for this type of plant. Possibly I will learn something that I didn't expect to find out from this plant on this project. The health benefits it has is that the seeds are very high in vitamin A and E. It also has a natural source of enzymes. A person is able to easily absorb the nutritional benefits that the seeds gives off. If someone were to have symptoms of asthma the plant would be able to reduce the symptoms of it. There was plenty more medical uses for the plant but, that's just some of what it does. The problems I may face is bugs or my dog trying to dig it up and destroy my project. I will most likely have the plant inside my house to try and prevent something bad from happening to it. I will try to avoid as many problems as I can. I will have to worry about because if I keep it inside by a window where no little kids can get to it so then everything can be ok. Overall, I'm confident that nothing will go wrong in this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
