What is Turnitin?
Turnitin is the software that AA Hamilton College uses to calculate the similarity of your assignment
to any other document submitted in the same system all over the world.
What happens when you submit an assignment on Turnitin?
You submit your assignment on Turnitin by submitting it on Livecampus on the assignment
submission link. Your assignment is then compared with all of the assignments for all the different
units submitted on Livecampus as well as assignments submitted by other students in other colleges
and books and documents all over the world. The report generated is not the final report. The final
report will only be generated after the final deadline which would mean that once the submission
link closes and once every student submitted assignments at AA Hamilton for the specific unit, only
then the final report will be generated. This means that if you have shared your assignment with
anybody and they have submitted part of it or the full assignment the initial report your friend got
would've indicated the similarity, but your report would've remained unchanged. This is because the
report is refreshed every time that you upload your assignment and then finally after the deadline.
After the deadline their plagiarism will be high as well as your own.
What can you do to avoid getting a high Turnitin score?

Country Reports : Bolivia, Bolivia
Country Reports: Bolivia
Bolivia, named after the Venezuelan military leader Simόn Bolίvar, for most of its political history
has been in a state of fluctuation. It came under Spanish rule in the 1500s and did not gain
independence until 1825. It was not until the end of the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement in the
late 1950s did the country transition into a military rule and only in the past few decades has it
moved towards a democracy (or at least less military dictatorship–like) (Kohl 1978).
Originally Bolivia was ruled by the Aymara, who were an indigenous population in South America,
until conquistadors conquered it in 1538 making it part of the "Vice–royalty of Peru" (BBC 2012).

Eventually Napoleon went on to overthrow the Bourbon dynasty, which held a throne in Spain, and
established a liberal constitution (Vanden & Prevost 2015). This liberal constitution is what helped
other Latin American countries gain their independence (Tathagatan 2008). To honor their liberator,
the people of Bolivia elected Bolίvar for life, but he only served for a few months. In the late 1820s,
Bolivia came under the rule of José Antonio de Sucre, its first constitutionally elected president
(Vanden & Prevost 2015). It was not long until he was removed from office and replaced with
Andres de Santa Cruz, where stability was relatively restored and reforms were made.
However, it was only a few decades later that a military coup takes over, putting General Manuel
Isidoro Belzứ in the presidential office (Vanden & Prevost 2015). But once again there was a coup
and a civilian president, José María Linares Lizarazu, was put in place. Unlike his predecessors, he
turned to authoritarian rule to diminish the chances of another coup. That did not work and he was
shortly replaced with Mariano Melgarejo who's "brutality and corruption earned him the epithet el
caudillo bárbaro (a type of warlord) (Vanden & Prevost 2015). It was under his rule that the
indigenous population began to disapear as he meticulously sold

Shortcomings And Weaknesses Of The Mazars Report
What are the shortcomings/weaknesses that you are seeing in integrated reporting in general
(including the Mazars Report)?
From the Mazars Report, there is some shortcoming of integrated reporting (IR) but these
shortcoming are potential to be improved to be a better one as IR is a process of continuation and
improvement of current reporting approaches. Following are the shortcomings of IR from the
Mazars Report:
Risk and opportunities can be identified and explained, however, it is lack of details in analysis and
mitigation measures.
In the event that vital goals are frequently all around portrayed in various time scales, the connection
with resources allocation could be better in the IR.
The integrated performance indicators is weak in term of publication.
Complexity and lack of clarity has pointed out by Welch (2013), Associated of Chartered Certified
Accountants' head of policy, as a potential weakness of IR. Initial objective of IR is to reduce
complexity and increase clarity; however, it might distort the objective of IR while a set of non–
financial data/information have been recommended to embed to the report, and it could lead to
information overload in the report. Moreover, a full tested set of standards is not introduced or

"GDP growth in Indonesia averaged 5.4% during 2002–10, moderately lower than the average
growth rate of 7% achieved over 1987–97, during which Indonesia was recognized as a newly
industrializing economy. Indonesia experienced a dramatic economic reversal due to the 1997
East Asian financial crisis. With the abrupt depreciation of the Indonesian currency, most foreign
investors started re–evaluating their investments in Asia, and as a result dumped most of the assets
and investments they held in the region, with Indonesia the worst affected. In 1998, GDP growth
was posted at –13.1% and unemployment rose to highs of 15–20%. Indonesia has since recovered,
although its growth rates have been lower than some of its neighboring countries. The economic
revival was due to the recapitalization of the banking sector, the improved regulatory structure of the
capital markets, and stimulated growth and investment in sectors such as infrastructure
development. The country's GDP growth rate increased from 5.5% in 2006 to 6.3% in 2007, before
declining slightly to 6% in 2008. The global economic slowdown affected the Indonesian economy,

Solving Ethical Dilemmas in the Accounting Profession
The Dilemma of an Accountant
Baker Greenleaf was one of the Big Eight accounting firms. Daniel Potter was a highly ethical
accountant that placed a lot of value on integrity. He was hired to work as an accountant for the
firm. Baker like many other firms was faced with a dilemma that tested the firm's ethical standings.
Even though a firm may be faced with a difficult decision, the firm's ethical standing helps
determine the best ethical decision for each situation. To reach the best ethical decision it is best to
use philosophical approaches in addition to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dan is a guy that has high ethics and integrity who bases his decisions on those aspects.
Baker Greenleaf is the firm handling the account. Baker's reputation is at stake, if the wrong
decision is made the firm's reputation may be ruined. The firm could lose clients, revenue, and face
lawsuits if the wrong decision is reached. The wrong decision may also cause the firm to lose
investors.
Oliver, who is the project senior and has about six years of experience with Baker risks losing a
promotion. He also risks not gaining exclusive control over the account. This could cause Baker to
lose profit.
The client (SUB) has it reputation at risk. The clients may lose potential buyers if people discovered
the SUB falsifies its reports. The clients may also face lawsuits if the reports are not corrected.
Gene is assisting Dan with the account and she may have a promotion at risk too. She has her
reputation, ethics, and integrity on the line. Participating with the wrong decision could also put her
job at Baker at risk.
Clients/customers of the SUB may be over charged if the reports are falsified. The clients/customers
may also choose to do business with another company because of the situation.
Solution for the Dilemma
Dan's decision to refuse to falsify the reports was the right decision not only for himself but the firm
as well. Dan's decision was based on the deontology approach; he was more concerned about his
duties, obligations, morals,

The Role Of Media Management On Crisis Communication
The importance of media management in crisis communication
Introduction
Crisis according to Laura (2013, p. 51), can be defined as any situation that threatens harms or cause
panic among people. Crisis may occur due to accidents, war, and flood or fire attack. During this
period, the public, who may be affected by the crisis because they are found in the situation or their
next of kin are involved in it, rely on a lot of information that is relayed by the media. Because of
this, the media must be careful of what they report. The information that the media convey to the
public according to Laura (2013, p. 50) may cool the situation, and reduce the tension that has been
built by the parties concerned. However, if they are not mindful of ... Show more content on

also researched on how the media should play this role. For instance, Taffel, A., in the year 2007 did
research on how to enhance Public Relations During the crisis (Taffel 2011, p. 112). In his research,
Taffel observed that, it is necessary to monitor the information that is relied on the public so that, the
image of the agency that is in crisis is not tarnished. In his research, Taffel had suggested that the
organization must balance the information that o is relayed the public (Taffel 2011, p. 112). He
observes that, it is necessary to balance between truths and lies so that the level of tension is
reduced. In the research, taffel adds that, if the media is allowed to report on everything, they may
kill the reputation that the company has.
In 2011, Yan, J., Brooke, F. L and Lucinda, L. A. did a research on the role of the social media in
effective crisis management. The research had been prompted by the manner in which a lot of
propaganda was spread via the social media during the Arab spring (Yan, Brookes and Lucinder
2011, p.3). In the paper, the researchers observe that, crisis can be best managed by the medal if they
can control the information that they give to the public. The researchers observe that, if the media
gives information that is contradicting, the public may become more anxious.

Integrated Reporting And Its Impact On International...
Integrated Reporting
Introduction
Integrated reporting is a new method to focus on various aspects of an organizing and can be rapidly
gained international recognition. In this paper, I will focus on its definition, function, effect,
valuation and framework.
A. Definition and Explanation
According to the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), the Integrated reporting () is
defined as "is a process founded on integrated thinking that results in a periodic integrated report by
an organization about value creation over time and related communications regarding aspects of
value creation. An integrated report is a concise communication about how an organization's
strategy, governance, performance and prospects, in the context of its external environment, lead to
the creation of value in the short, medium and long term." (Integratedreporting n.d.)
The primary requirement of integrated reporting is treat value as beyond financial terms – a non–
current overdue development offer that approximates 80% of organization is typically in intangible
assets. Unlikely methods of long term success that connecting firm relationships with stakeholders,
building a base of loyal customers and dealing with environmental risk, etc., integrated reporting
keeps analyzing non–current strategy and predicting documents, including strategy, the environment
in which it would deliver and how the organization has and will. The International Integrated
Reporting Framework acknowledges that

The Benefits Of Integrated Reporting Essay
The benefits of integrated reporting
According to researchers, even though integrated reporting is a developing practice, it is associated
with numerous benefits to organizations, stakeholders, investors and even regulators. These benefits
include;
1. Better understanding of value creation
Integrated reporting enables organization to use new information to measure performance in all
sectors and this enhances understanding on how value is created. Since communicating value
creation is one of the key aspects of integrated reporting, organization can now understand how they
create or destroy value. According to IIRC (2014), up to 92 per cent of businesses in the pilot project
reported better understanding of value creation. Companies that use integrated reported can now
understand how non–financial aspects affect financial performance and vice versa.
For instance, organizations can now understand how business models, strategies and resource
allocation affect financial, human, intellectual, manufacturing and social capital. In a certain
engineering company in South Africa, the use of integrated reporting helped in understanding how
customer loyalty transforms finances in the long term (IIRC, 2013). The increased understanding on
how organizations create or destroy value has enabled many organizations to change their business
management model in order to create maximum value (Eccles & Krzus, 2010).
2. Improving on what is measured

Mexico has unequivocally become integral to the United State 's (US) economy.
It ranks as one of the US 's most important trading partners. Through foreign direct investment from

Some concepts involved through the issue are risk, confidentiality, environmental health, conflict of
interest, and loyalty. First, the company and peter's career will be in risk if he reported the oil spill to
the state. Second, the engineering law requires confidentiality therefore it is irrelevant that peter
report such an issue that is confidential in the company. Third, the tests were only taken 400 feet
from the surface of the groundwater, however maybe there is contamination deeper or other marine
life were affected. Four, most important concept is the conflict of interest since Peter had to either
obey the engineering law that requires confidentiality and neglect his morals or obey the state law
and lose his friendship and career. Five, Jesse trusted Peter to keep this mysterious spill between
them; he should be loyal to him since they have a trusting relationship. Additionally, Jesse noted that
he cannot have a consulting engineer who doesn't value client loyalty. On the other hand, there are
some unknown facts in the issue. According to state law all spills must be reported but what about
spills that occurred years ago? Where the effects of spill seem to have dissipated? Is there any
gasoline concentration beyond the 400 feet of gasoline? Is the marine life affected by the spill? Will
the gasoline contaminate the ground water years later? Who is responsible to

Seminal Replication on Attention Blink
This study was a seminal replication on attention blink similar to the one done by Raymond et al, in
a rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) task. This study predicted that there would be a higher
accuracy for identifying the first target, T1 and lower accuracy for the second target, T2 depending
on the lag, given that T1 was accurately reported. 193 students participated in the experiment. This
experiment was a part of the course requirement. There was a stream of 19 letters, each lasting for
100 ms. The target letters, T1 and/or T2, to be identified were either a 'J' or a 'K' or both from the
stream of 19 letters presented. In this study, a total of 60 trials were conducted for each participant.
For T1, there were 30 'J' and 30 'K' targets. T2 comprised of 24 J, 24 K and 12 null targets. The
participants were asked to decide whether they saw the letters J, K, both or neither following the
RSVP stream. They were asked to do so by using a button click mechanism. At the end of all the
trials, the participants were presented with a summary of their performance report. It was observed
that the percentage of T1 reported does not vary significantly as a function of lag. Also, the
percentage of T2 reported varied as a function of lag. At greater lag positions, it was seen that the
percentage of T2 reported goes above that of T1.

Re: CPA Report
Below I have summarized an explanation to the questions that came about during your examination
of a subsidiary that has been set up as a corporation.
The methodology used to determine deferred taxes.
The deferred taxes reported are a temporary difference. The deferred taxes were calculated based on
what needed to be reported versus what has been posted to the corporations' books. The "temporary
difference is the difference between the tax basis of an asset or liability and its reported (carrying or
book) amount in the financial statements, which will result in taxable amounts or deductible
amounts in future years" (Kieso, el. 2007, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The corporation and stockholders have the tax burden in a corporation. In whole, from the owners'
point of view, it is more sensible to form a corporation that has a little more flexibility and less
liability versus a partnership or sole proprietorship.

Re: CPA Report
As stated by Schroeder, el. (2005), my professional responsibilities as a CPA include independence,
scope of services, confidentiality, practice development, and differences on accounting issues. It is
my responsibility to keep my professional judgment unbiased and base my opinions on factual
information and to keep my personal interest separate from the clients work. It is my responsibility
not to indulge any client with nonaudit services not relating to the financial audit. It is my
responsibility to keep the clients information confidential and only report information that is deemed
necessary for investors and outside users. It is my responsibility to not enter in to any advertisement

Integrated Reporting And An Understanding Of A Company 's...
Integrated Reporting is a more holistic approach to gaining an understanding of a company's
performance. It takes into consideration factors including the environment, society and governance
when evaluating a company's performance and strategizing on a future course of action. One of the
most recent and promising developments in Integrated Reporting has been the release of the
Integrated International Reporting Framework by the International Integrated Reporting Council.
This paper assesses the opportunities, benefits, challenges and limitations of this framework.
Introduction
The Integrated International Reporting Framework was introduced by the International Integrated
Reporting Council (IIRC) to guide the entire integrated reporting process and also to clearly define
key ideas and concepts of this framework. Given some of the confusion surrounding this framework
among companies and accountants in New Zealand with respect to what precisely the Integrated
<IR> Framework is and how it might affect accounting practice, this essay purports to clearly
explain the framework. Further, this paper will also critically examine the framework, highlighting
some of the salient opportunities, benefits, challenges and limitations of this approach. Finally, it
will briefly reflect upon the implication of the framework for accounting practice.

How Does The News We See On Social Media Differ From What...
How does the news we see on social media differ from what we're being presented with on
broadcast? Which is likely to have more of an influence on citizens?
Throughout this essay I have selected to focus on the difference of news we see on social media
websites such as Facebook and Twitter to what we're being presented with on traditional media
platforms such as television and radio and which of the two is more likely to have an influence on us
as citizens who are consuming the news.
I will discuss the role of both platforms mentioned earlier and how they have had an influence on
the public thus far and how they differ on the deliverance of news and which is more credible. I will
also talk about which has the most influence over citizens ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This is all without looking into a news corporations agenda, political stance and reliability.
It's difficult to say whether citizens are more likely to be influenced more by the news they receive
on either social media or on television. A lot of the younger generations are likely to say social
media is more influential, whilst many of the older generations who aren't as, or at all active on
social media would claim broadcast is their most trusted source of information. In his book News
and Journalism in the UK: Fifth Edition, McNair shows that a report commissioned by Channel 4 in
2008 noted that "TV remains the most popular source of news across the British public as a whole.
By then, 54 percent of the 25–34 age group were using online journalism regularly, and the trend
was clear – further fragmentation of the journalism market, further migration of audiences from
print and broadcast to online, with young media user moving furthest and fastest." (McNair, 2009,
P.142). In earlier editions of his book, another survey was conducted and people still listed television
as their most trusted source. This correlates with my point earlier, while television may well be the
more trusted source, younger citizens reading the news are likely to be influenced more by what
they're reading online and on social media

Assess The Importance Of Feedback In Student Education
Reporting to both students and parents/carers is an important skill and part of being a teacher.
Reporting to students in the form of feedback is a critical element of the learning cycle.
Incorporating a range of effective strategies for providing students with feedback can advance
students' understanding and development. Lacing instruction with correctional feedback will result
in the production of new instruction (Hattie & Timperley, 2007, p.82). The combination of
instruction and feedback gives students the next step they need to take to develop a deeper
understanding. For feedback to provide any meaning to students it must link to the task at hand and
be provided in a timely manner. Sadler, as cited in Hattie and Timperley (2007, p.82) point out that
feedback should provide students with a stepping–stone from what they understand to what is to be
understood. The feedback given to students to bridge the gap between ... Show more content on

Parents/carers are also invested in the development of student education. The aspects of their child's
education that parents/carers are interested in are the progress they are making, their strengths and
weaknesses, their development in comparison to other children and what they can do at home to
help (Cohen et al., as cited in Kivunja, 2015, p.385). It is the teachers' responsibility to keep
parents/carers informed and attend to any concerns they may have. In addition to mid–year and end
of year reports there are a number of strategies teachers can take to keep parents/carers informed.
Readman and Allen (2013, p.159) have identified a phone call or letter home, or an entry into a
student diary that is to be sighted and signed off by a parent/carer as some effective strategies to
report students' progress. It is important for teachers to communicate through these strategies to
keep parents/carers aware of their child's progress and there are no surprises when reports are sent

Improving Current System Of Police Reporting
5.5 Improvement to Current Situation
According to five factors that have been proposed, we had suggested some recommendations to
improve current system of police reporting in Malaysia which is the Police Reporting System (PRS)
to ensure that the function of the PRS will definitely helped to record and transfer the report in a
better and easier way.
5.5.1 Role
As mentioned above, role is very important factor in police reporting in order to make the report,
received statement from complainant, and most important thing is to transfer the report to another
police officers. As a recommendation, police organization in Malaysia can organize or provide a
training program for police personnel on duty at the enquiry office about the use and maintenance of
the PRS so that they can write the report quickly and also they know the function for every single
menu and button of the PRS. Plus, if the PRS are breakdown, the police personnel will know how to
fix the problem. Thus, it wills not wasting time to wait for the technical team to fix the problem and
also they no need to write the report manually in POL 55 and re–type it once the PRS was fixed.
Besides that, enquiry officer also are encourage to more than one language. For instance, if the
complainant who come over to lodge a report does not know to speak Bahasa Malaysia, the enquiry
officer are able to speak another language like English, Mandarin, Tamil or any language that easy
to understand by the complainant.

severity of concussions based on the 5 point scale given; extremely sever, sever slightly sever,

Additionally, given the small sample size (n= 7), athletes who were identified as having a
concussion, sidelined tested, and diagnosed from a physician were used to generate an outliner data
showing the average of a player's time frame for returning to play. The sample used a bar graph to

It helped to provide a foundational assessment, which coaches could use within minutes of an
injured athlete. The study gave valuable insight to coaches that would once not take a hit as serious.
The King–Devick test provided a fast and effective tool to assess the athlete on the sidelines. Having
a concussion portal that is simple and effective will allow for more concussions to be reported. The
study demonstrated the need for understanding severity of concussions and creating an encouraging
environment, which will allow for athletes to report suffering from a concussion as opposed to

Knowing what a concussion is and how to detect a concussion will provide a safer environment to

Learning to report as a cop can be viewed as its own language, with its distinct set of norms and

associated with it. Collets vindicate that as a cop "crime reports are written in neutral diction, and in
the dispassionate uni–voice that's testament to the academy's ability to standardize writing. They feel

International Trade for the Country of Rodamia: A Report
International Trade
This report discusses international trade for the country of Rodamia. The report talks about
advantages and limitations of trade, and also comparative and absolute advantage. The report also
discusses influences that affect foreign exchange rates.
Advantages and Limitations of International Trade
International trade benefits Rodamia in several ways. Trade between countries helps them make the
most of their natural resources. Each country usually has a particular combination of minerals, or
climate or location that promotes agriculture or tourism, or skilled labor that produces specialized
products. It is to each country's advantage to efficiently use its resources to make money.
International trade also helps Rodamia's consumers when their country can import goods that are not
domestically available. Consumers have a wider range of products and quality to choose from
because of international trade. Rodamians can enjoy chocolates and confections from Uthania,
electronic goods from Suntize, and agricultural products from Alfazia. International trade allows
Rodamians a wider and more varied selection of goods to choose from than would otherwise be
available.
Trade between Rodamia and its neighbors also lets Rodamians save money on imports that are
produced more cheaply in other countries. When goods are produced at a lower price or more
efficiently in another country, Rodamian consumers benefit from international trade by being able to
purchase them

Company Complexity Of Ge And Mcvay
Company Complexity
According to Ge and McVay research study findings, business complexity is positively correlated
with firm disclosure of material weaknesses. They hypothesized that the "firms with more
complicated transactions likely to have greater chance for a disconnect in the financial reporting
process, and thus a material weakness (Ge et al., 148)." To measure business complexity, Ge and
McVay used the number of operating segments reported in the annual 10–K and the existence of
foreign currency exchange translation. Ge and McVay had two subgroups within their study: firms
that disclosed material weaknesses and a control group of 2003 Compustat firms who did not report

In comparison to Doyle et al. study, Doyle and his colleagues hypothesized that the "complexity of
the firm is a driver of internal control weaknesses (Doyle et al., 9)." To measure the business
complexity of a firm, Doyle et al. used three measures to include the number of special purpose
entities, number of operating segments and the existence of foreign currency adjustment. The
findings of Doyle et al. were as predicted. The three complexity measures were higher in firms that
reported material weaknesses in comparison to the 2003 Compustat firms, who did not report any
material weaknesses. This indicates that company complexity is positively correlated to the
disclosure of material misstatements.
Company Profitability
In relation to the Ge and McVay research study findings, company profitability is negatively
correlated with firm disclosure of material weaknesses. Ge and McVay hypothesized that "poorly
performing firms simply might not be able to adequately invest in proper internal controls (Ge et al.,
151)." This would result in a greater chance of disclosing material weaknesses. In order to test their
hypothesis, they used two profitability metrics consisting of return on assets (ROA) and cash from
operations scaled by assets (CFO/A).
In reference to the Ge and McVay research findings, as presented in Figure B1 , material weakness
firms had lower ROA and CFO/A compared to the control group of 2003 Compustat firms

The Effects Of News Media On Today 's Society
The news media's role in today's society is interlocked and essential to the conveying of
information. The news media has access to television broadcasting and has people to go find stories
to broadcast. However, as time has progressed, the news media has become more and more
opinionated. Consequently, the bias of the news media in their reporting's has tainted the opinions of
the American people. By creating a strict set of laws pertaining to the reporting of news, bias within
reports will have to decrease; causing a less opinionated audience, people feeling better about
themselves and humanity, and the United States growth as a stronger country.
The news media in today's world is far too opinionated. On a regular basis, the news media and
other news outlets are often discussing opinions, their own opinions, and other's opinions about
stories and news reports rather than the reports themselves. During a discussion about Donald
Trump's immigration policy on August 25th, 2016, on the CNN newsroom, one of the reporters said
that "we heard this shift on his immigration policy." However, one of the other reporters defended
Mr. Trump by saying. "First, let me correct the record" and goes on to do so and they argue back and
forth (Person Discusses). In this report, what Donald Trump said nor any part of his speech was
shared. The report was wholly opinion based. Although, the news media will share clips and snips of
stories in many of their stories.

Disadvantages Of Client Reports
Client Reports
What are Client Reports?
Client reports are documents that contain pertinent data or updates about the standing and progress
of the team and the business. The primary goal of these reports is to provide adequate knowledge to
its readers like other team members, the team leaders, and the team's affiliates.
Who does Client Reports?
Client reports are usually generated by the members of the team, while there are times in which even
the team leaders themselves also produce a report for the clients. Businesses submit reports about
updates on their products and services to clients as these influence their clients' patronage to the
products or services that they offer. Why do Teams do Client Reports?

More than that, additional information can be presented in the client report, allowing the team to
formulate better plans, develop more efficient strategies, and execute more effective actions.
Disadvantages of Client Reports
Even though client reports can be helpful in several ways, there are also some instances in which
they can present negative impact to the business team.
One disadvantage is the likelihood of clients to withdraw their connection with a company after the
revelation of decreasing trends. Clients aim for the best products and service and seeing a business
or a company flunk in the market makes them feel that they are not suitable partners for the
company.
Another negative point of writing a client report is its tedious nature, leading team members and
leaders to see it as a time–consuming activity. Team members want to be productive in their work in
the office, but there are times in which they see report writing as an additional workload, which
divides the time they have for all their tasks.

The Un Sanctions Committee 's Guidelines Prescribe Too...
Some would say that the UN Sanctions Committee's guidelines prescribe very loose standards of
evidence for their Monitoring Groups. This is often followed with the claim that inconsistent
standards of investigations and evidentiary standards can lead to poor harmonization and unfair
sanctioning, which can even go so far as discrediting of the Sanctions Committees of the Security
Council. While these claims may be true to some extent, the argument can be made that by
comparing reports, Experts have already formed a degree of consensus in their evidentiary standards

Looking at this policy, it is clear that it would be impossible under the current framework to provide
this type of due process for all individuals and entities sanctioned by the UN. Furthermore, the
Security Council would most likely not provide the resources necessary to pursue this process.
Therefore, to the standard of due process used for charging misconduct on a UN employee would
not be satisfied with the due process used for investigations and impositions of UN sanctions. While
this example may not be a realistic comparison, the value in its mention is intended to shed light on
the double standards inherent in the due process of imposing UN sanctions (having detrimental
effects), and the due process for imposing a charge of misconduct on a UN staff member (having
much less of an effect than targeted sanctions). This double standard perhaps signifies a need for
reform.
After viewing the evidentiary standards and investigative methods of the different Experts Panels of
the Security Council Monitoring Teams/Groups – as will be done in the remainder of this essay– it
will be demonstrated that almost all Panels of Expert more or less conform to the recommendations

Principles And Practices Of Incident Management And...
CHAPTER TWO
PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF INCIDENT MANAGEMENT AND INCIDENT RESPONSE
STRENGTHS
The information security incident management policy of Blyth's Books was created in 2010 and has
been reviewed four times in five years. Those covered by its scope are clearly stated. It stresses the
importance of incident management to the organisation and has the support of upper level
management.
This policy complies with the Computer Misuse Act (1990) which was an act made to secure
computer systems and networks from unapproved access. By complying with legal obligation,
Blyth's Books can pursue legal or disciplinary action against anyone (employee or otherwise) guilty
of breaching their systems.
WEAKNESSES
The Data Protection Act (1998) provides the principles which must be adhered to in order to ensure
the total protection of data while the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 27035
presents organisations with guidance in the management of information security incidents. This
standard stipulates that an organisation should have a clear and concise information security incident
management policy. The security incident management policy of Blyth's Books while compliant
with the Computer Misuse Act (1990) does not show that it is compliant with the Data Protection

South Korea: Country Attractiveness Report
FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS KATHOLIEKE UNIVERSITEIT LEUVEN
D0M19B – International Business Strategy SOUTH KOREA Shortened Country Attractiveness
Report Antoine Hirschland Prof. Dr. Sleuwaegen Leo – 2010 – I. Introduction Thanks to the
globalization, Asian economy is drawing more and more the attention of the rest of the world.
Nevertheless, when we talk about economic growth in Asia, we think mostly about China, India or
Japan whereas South Korean economy is staying quite unknown in Belgium. However, since the
war in the Korean peninsula and the formation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North
Korea) and the Republic of Korea (South Korea) in 1948, South Korea has becoming a major
economic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Regarding technologies, South Korean industry has always been a pioneer in the technological
know–how which has allowed the country to become one of the most advanced countries in this
field. Lastly, the education system has always been based on rigour and excellence (South Korean
higher education and training ranked 15th in the GCR) that allowed the country to build up a high–
skilled workforce. B. Demand conditions The Korean home demand is characterized by high buyer
sophistication. Indeed, according to the GCR, South Korean buyer sophistication ranks 11. This can
be explained (in part) by the high level of education. Moreover, this sophisticated home demand
means that consumers require products of high quality and influences positively the development of
capabilities and pressures South Korean firms to be competitive and to innovate in order to respond
to this demand. C. Firm strategy, structure, and rivalry The Korean industry organisation is
characterized by the predominance of large groups (as LG, Hyundai, Samsung etc.) called chaebols
doing business in a large diversity of activities. The structure is therefore principally oligopolistic.
Currently, chaebols are responsible of the majority of Korean exportations. The Korean economic
growth has therefore been mostly concentrated on the development of those –3– chaebols
supported by financial institutions and the government at the expense of small and

Ethical Dilemma at Northlake Essay example
"Ethical Dilemma at Northlake"
Week 3 – Case Study #1
Cecellia Dantzler
Synopsis: Frank, manager of corporate reporting at Amalgamated Forest Products, has threatened to
go public with information regarding a falsified report on the effect of effluent controls on the
discharge of wastewater from pulp and paper companies, which has angered his boss, Jim McIntosh
and the company's president, Jim Letourneau. Letourneau was to testify before a legislative
subcommittee the following week and use the report, "Endangered Species: The Pulp and Paper
Industry in the Upper Peninsula", to give the industry's perspective on proposed legislation. The
section of the report which contained the falsified financial information was prepared by Tina ...

The section of the report addressing the monetary impact of Amalgamated installing emission
control equipment had been falsified. The numbers used in the report were over exaggerated in order
to show that Amalgamated would suffer severely financially should this legislation be passed.
Recommendation #1: Amalgamated has three mills in the community. These three mills and the
corporate offices provide jobs to many of the 10,000 people of Northlake. The company is a major
contributor to the economy of the community. The recommendation is for Amalgamated to be
ethical and show corporate responsibility. No amount of money can be given for human life. The
aboriginal community is suffering from the effects of emission waste from the previous competitor
and from Amalgamated as well. Amalgamated should forego its own financial gain and do what is
ethically right to clean up their waste so that it does not affect the community. The company has had
the emissions problem for so long and it would only benefit them in the long run to do the right
thing and stop the pollution now.
Finding of Fact #2: Frank is being bullied, more specifically, being mobbed, by his vice president
and the president of the company. When Jim McIntosh confronts Frank about publically disclosing
the truth about the report, he is yelling and calling Frank stupid. He's threatening Frank with all the
things he could lose if he were to go forward with the truth. His face is bright red and he is
trembling

Gaap Earnings Vs Non Gaap
Lately, it is becoming more and more common for companies to report their financials using Non–
GAAP earnings. "A non–GAAP financial measure is a numerical measure of an issuer's historical or
future financial performance, financial position, or cash flow that excludes amounts that are found in
GAAP financials" (SEC, 2002). Non–GAAP earnings are an alternative way of reporting the
performance of a company as opposed to GAAP earnings. Many companies often report non–GAAP
earnings alongside the required GAAP earnings. They claim that non–GAAP earnings more
accurately depicts what the company is going through and precisely shows their financials. A few
common examples of non– GAAP earnings are pro forma earnings, cash earnings, operating
earnings, and EBITA (SEC, 2002). Pro forma refers to earnings, which exclude non–recurring items
(SEC, 2001). It is regularly found that technology startups are responsible for a lot of the use of
non–GAAP earnings because these corporations remove certain items like taxes in their non–GAAP
accounting to turn loss into profit (Young 2013). Because of the lack of standardization and the
potential for creative accounting, it makes it difficult to draw relevant comparisons among
companies or draw meaningful information from these statistics. These reasons alone make the SEC
and investors very weary about the implementation of it. An example of a company that uses non–
GAAP earnings is Macy's. Being such a large company to report their

Turnitin is the software that AA Hamilton College uses to calculate the similarity of your assignment to any other document submitted in the same system all over the world. What happens when you submit an assignment on Turnitin? You submit your assignment on Turnitin by submitting it on Livecampus on the assignment submission link. Your assignment is then compared with all of the assignments for all the different units submitted on Livecampus as well as assignments submitted by other students in other colleges and books and documents all over the world. The report generated is not the final report. The final report will only be generated after the final deadline which would mean that once the submission link closes and once every student submitted assignments at AA Hamilton for the specific unit, only then the final report will be generated. This means that if you have shared your assignment with anybody and they have submitted part of it or the full assignment the initial report your friend got would've indicated the similarity, but your report would've remained unchanged. This is because the report is refreshed every time that you upload your assignment and then finally after the deadline. After the deadline their plagiarism will be high as well as your own. Country Reports : Bolivia, Bolivia Country Reports: Bolivia Bolivia, named after the Venezuelan military leader Simόn Bolίvar, for most of its political history has been in a state of fluctuation. It came under Spanish rule in the 1500s and did not gain independence until 1825. It was not until the end of the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement in the late 1950s did the country transition into a military rule and only in the past few decades has it moved towards a democracy (or at least less military dictatorship–like) (Kohl 1978). Originally Bolivia was ruled by the Aymara, who were an indigenous population in South America, until conquistadors conquered it in 1538 making it part of the "Vice–royalty of Peru" (BBC 2012). Eventually Napoleon went on to overthrow the Bourbon dynasty, which held a throne in Spain, and established a liberal constitution (Vanden & Prevost 2015). This liberal constitution is what helped other Latin American countries gain their independence (Tathagatan 2008). To honor their liberator, the people of Bolivia elected Bolίvar for life, but he only served for a few months. In the late 1820s, Bolivia came under the rule of José Antonio de Sucre, its first constitutionally elected president (Vanden & Prevost 2015). It was not long until he was removed from office and replaced with Andres de Santa Cruz, where stability was relatively restored and reforms were made. However, it was only a few decades later that a military coup takes over, putting General Manuel Isidoro Belzứ in the presidential office (Vanden & Prevost 2015). But once again there was a coup and a civilian president, José María Linares Lizarazu, was put in place. Unlike his predecessors, he turned to authoritarian rule to diminish the chances of another coup. That did not work and he was shortly replaced with Mariano Melgarejo who's "brutality and corruption earned him the epithet el caudillo bárbaro (a type of warlord) (Vanden & Prevost 2015). From the Mazars Report, there is some shortcoming of integrated reporting (IR) but these shortcoming are potential to be improved to be a better one as IR is a process of continuation and improvement of current reporting approaches. Following are the shortcomings of IR from the Mazars Report: Risk and opportunities can be identified and explained, however, it is lack of details in analysis and mitigation measures. In the event that vital goals are frequently all around portrayed in various time scales, the connection with resources allocation could be better in the IR. The integrated performance indicators is weak in term of publication. Complexity and lack of clarity has pointed out by Welch (2013), Associated of Chartered Certified Accountants' head of policy, as a potential weakness of IR. Initial objective of IR is to reduce complexity and increase clarity; however, it might distort the objective of IR while a set of non– financial data/information have been recommended to embed to the report, and it could lead to information overload in the report. "GDP growth in Indonesia averaged 5.4% during 2002–10, moderately lower than the average growth rate of 7% achieved over 1987–97, during which Indonesia was recognized as a newly industrializing economy. Indonesia experienced a dramatic economic reversal due to the 1997 East Asian financial crisis. With the abrupt depreciation of the Indonesian currency, most foreign investors started re–evaluating their investments in Asia, and as a result dumped most of the assets and investments they held in the region, with Indonesia the worst affected. In 1998, GDP growth was posted at –13.1% and unemployment rose to highs of 15–20%. Indonesia has since recovered, although its growth rates have been lower than some of its neighboring countries. The economic revival was due to the recapitalization of the banking sector, the improved regulatory structure of the capital markets, and stimulated growth and investment in sectors such as infrastructure development. The country's GDP growth rate increased from 5.5% in 2006 to 6.3% in 2007, before declining slightly to 6% in 2008. The global economic slowdown affected the Indonesian economy, and its growth rate decelerated to 4.6% in 2009. The country's economy recovered strongly to grow at 6.1% in 2010." The Role Of Media Management On Crisis Communication The importance of media management in crisis communication Introduction Crisis according to Laura (2013, p. 51), can be defined as any situation that threatens harms or cause panic among people. Crisis may occur due to accidents, war, and flood or fire attack. During this period, the public, who may be affected by the crisis because they are found in the situation or their next of kin are involved in it, rely on a lot of information that is relayed by the media. Because of this, the media must be careful of what they report. Integrated Reporting Introduction Integrated reporting is a new method to focus on various aspects of an organizing and can be rapidly gained international recognition. In this paper, I will focus on its definition, function, effect, valuation and framework. A. • 47. The Benefits Of Integrated Reporting Essay The benefits of integrated reporting According to researchers, even though integrated reporting is a developing practice, it is associated with numerous benefits to organizations, stakeholders, investors and even regulators. These benefits include; 1. Better understanding of value creation Integrated reporting enables organization to use new information to measure performance in all sectors and this enhances understanding on how value is created. Since communicating value creation is one of the key aspects of integrated reporting, organization can now understand how they create or destroy value. According to IIRC (2014), up to 92 per cent of businesses in the pilot project reported better understanding of value creation. Companies that use integrated reported can now understand how non–financial aspects affect financial performance and vice versa. For instance, organizations can now understand how business models, strategies and resource allocation affect financial, human, intellectual, manufacturing and social capital. In a certain engineering company in South Africa, the use of integrated reporting helped in understanding how customer loyalty transforms finances in the long term (IIRC, 2013). The increased understanding on how organizations create or destroy value has enabled many organizations to change their business management model in order to create maximum value (Eccles & Krzus, 2010). 2. Third, the tests were only taken 400 feet from the surface of the groundwater, however maybe there is contamination deeper or other marine life were affected. Four, most important concept is the conflict of interest since Peter had to either obey the engineering law that requires confidentiality and neglect his morals or obey the state law and lose his friendship and career. Five, Jesse trusted Peter to keep this mysterious spill between them; he should be loyal to him since they have a trusting relationship. Additionally, Jesse noted that he cannot have a consulting engineer who doesn't value client loyalty. On the other hand, there are some unknown facts in the issue. This study predicted that there would be a higher accuracy for identifying the first target, T1 and lower accuracy for the second target, T2 depending on the lag, given that T1 was accurately reported. 193 students participated in the experiment. This experiment was a part of the course requirement. There was a stream of 19 letters, each lasting for 100 ms. The target letters, T1 and/or T2, to be identified were either a 'J' or a 'K' or both from the stream of 19 letters presented. In this study, a total of 60 trials were conducted for each participant. For T1, there were 30 'J' and 30 'K' targets. T2 comprised of 24 J, 24 K and 12 null targets. The participants were asked to decide whether they saw the letters J, K, both or neither following the RSVP stream. They were asked to do so by using a button click mechanism. At the end of all the trials, the participants were presented with a summary of their performance report. It was observed that the percentage of T1 reported does not vary significantly as a function of lag. Also, the percentage of T2 reported varied as a function of lag. At greater lag positions, it was seen that the percentage of T2 reported goes above that of T1. It takes into consideration factors including the environment, society and governance when evaluating a company's performance and strategizing on a future course of action. One of the most recent and promising developments in Integrated Reporting has been the release of the Integrated International Reporting Framework by the International Integrated Reporting Council. This paper assesses the opportunities, benefits, challenges and limitations of this framework. Introduction The Integrated International Reporting Framework was introduced by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) to guide the entire integrated reporting process and also to clearly define key ideas and concepts of this framework. Given some of the confusion surrounding this framework among companies and accountants in New Zealand with respect to what precisely the Integrated <IR> Framework is and how it might affect accounting practice, this essay purports to clearly explain the framework. Further, this paper will also critically examine the framework, highlighting some of the salient opportunities, benefits, challenges and limitations of this approach. Finally, it will briefly reflect upon the implication of the framework for accounting practice. This is all without looking into a news corporations agenda, political stance and reliability. It's difficult to say whether citizens are more likely to be influenced more by the news they receive on either social media or on television. A lot of the younger generations are likely to say social media is more influential, whilst many of the older generations who aren't as, or at all active on social media would claim broadcast is their most trusted source of information. In his book News and Journalism in the UK: Fifth Edition, McNair shows that a report commissioned by Channel 4 in 2008 noted that "TV remains the most popular source of news across the British public as a whole. By then, 54 percent of the 25–34 age group were using online journalism regularly, and the trend was clear – further fragmentation of the journalism market, further migration of audiences from print and broadcast to online, with young media user moving furthest and fastest." (McNair, 2009, P.142). In earlier editions of his book, another survey was conducted and people still listed television as their most trusted source. This correlates with my point earlier, while television may well be the more trusted source, younger citizens reading the news are likely to be influenced more by what they're reading online and on social media ... Reporting to students in the form of feedback is a critical element of the learning cycle. Incorporating a range of effective strategies for providing students with feedback can advance students' understanding and development. Lacing instruction with correctional feedback will result in the production of new instruction (Hattie & Timperley, 2007, p.82). The King-Devick Test Introduction The participants that provided responses to the questionnaire were put into a graph, showing the severity of concussions based on the 5 point scale given; extremely sever, sever slightly sever, somewhat sever, not severe.(fig 4) The responses showed patterns of the participants as a whole. Additionally, given the small sample size (n= 7), athletes who were identified as having a concussion, sidelined tested, and diagnosed from a physician were used to generate an outliner data showing the average of a player's time frame for returning to play. The report talks about advantages and limitations of trade, and also comparative and absolute advantage. The report also discusses influences that affect foreign exchange rates. Advantages and Limitations of International Trade International trade benefits Rodamia in several ways. Trade between countries helps them make the most of their natural resources. Each country usually has a particular combination of minerals, or climate or location that promotes agriculture or tourism, or skilled labor that produces specialized products. It is to each country's advantage to efficiently use its resources to make money. International trade also helps Rodamia's consumers when their country can import goods that are not domestically available. Consumers have a wider range of products and quality to choose from because of international trade. Rodamians can enjoy chocolates and confections from Uthania, electronic goods from Suntize, and agricultural products from Alfazia. International trade allows Rodamians a wider and more varied selection of goods to choose from than would otherwise be available. Trade between Rodamia and its neighbors also lets Rodamians save money on imports that are produced more cheaply in other countries. In comparison to Doyle et al. study, Doyle and his colleagues hypothesized that the "complexity of the firm is a driver of internal control weaknesses (Doyle et al., 9)." To measure the business complexity of a firm, Doyle et al. used three measures to include the number of special purpose entities, number of operating segments and the existence of foreign currency adjustment. The findings of Doyle et al. were as predicted. The three complexity measures were higher in firms that reported material weaknesses in comparison to the 2003 Compustat firms, who did not report any material weaknesses. This indicates that company complexity is positively correlated to the disclosure of material misstatements. Company Profitability In relation to the Ge and McVay research study findings, company profitability is negatively correlated with firm disclosure of material weaknesses. Ge and McVay hypothesized that "poorly performing firms simply might not be able to adequately invest in proper internal controls (Ge et al., 151)." This would result in a greater chance of disclosing material weaknesses. In order to test their hypothesis, they used two profitability metrics consisting of return on assets (ROA) and cash from operations scaled by assets (CFO/A). The news media has access to television broadcasting and has people to go find stories to broadcast. However, as time has progressed, the news media has become more and more opinionated. Consequently, the bias of the news media in their reporting's has tainted the opinions of the American people. By creating a strict set of laws pertaining to the reporting of news, bias within reports will have to decrease; causing a less opinionated audience, people feeling better about themselves and humanity, and the United States growth as a stronger country. The news media in today's world is far too opinionated. On a regular basis, the news media and other news outlets are often discussing opinions, their own opinions, and other's opinions about stories and news reports rather than the reports themselves. During a discussion about Donald Trump's immigration policy on August 25th, 2016, on the CNN newsroom, one of the reporters said that "we heard this shift on his immigration policy." However, one of the other reporters defended Mr. Trump by saying. "First, let me correct the record" and goes on to do so and they argue back and forth (Person Discusses). One disadvantage is the likelihood of clients to withdraw their connection with a company after the revelation of decreasing trends. Clients aim for the best products and service and seeing a business or a company flunk in the market makes them feel that they are not suitable partners for the company. Another negative point of writing a client report is its tedious nature, leading team members and leaders to see it as a time–consuming activity. This is often followed with the claim that inconsistent standards of investigations and evidentiary standards can lead to poor harmonization and unfair sanctioning, which can even go so far as discrediting of the Sanctions Committees of the Security Council. While this example may not be a realistic comparison, the value in its mention is intended to shed light on the double standards inherent in the due process of imposing UN sanctions (having detrimental effects), and the due process for imposing a charge of misconduct on a UN staff member (having much less of an effect than targeted sanctions). This double standard perhaps signifies a need for reform. Those covered by its scope are clearly stated. It stresses the importance of incident management to the organisation and has the support of upper level management. This policy complies with the Computer Misuse Act (1990) which was an act made to secure computer systems and networks from unapproved access. By complying with legal obligation, Blyth's Books can pursue legal or disciplinary action against anyone (employee or otherwise) guilty of breaching their systems. • 160. Gaap Earnings Vs Non Gaap Lately, it is becoming more and more common for companies to report their financials using Non– GAAP earnings. "A non–GAAP financial measure is a numerical measure of an issuer's historical or future financial performance, financial position, or cash flow that excludes amounts that are found in GAAP financials" (SEC, 2002). Non–GAAP earnings are an alternative way of reporting the performance of a company as opposed to GAAP earnings. Many companies often report non–GAAP earnings alongside the required GAAP earnings. They claim that non–GAAP earnings more accurately depicts what the company is going through and precisely shows their financials. A few common examples of non– GAAP earnings are pro forma earnings, cash earnings, operating earnings, and EBITA (SEC, 2002). Pro forma refers to earnings, which exclude non–recurring items (SEC, 2001). It is regularly found that technology startups are responsible for a lot of the use of non–GAAP earnings because these corporations remove certain items like taxes in their non–GAAP accounting to turn loss into profit (Young 2013). Because of the lack of standardization and the potential for creative accounting, it makes it difficult to draw relevant comparisons among companies or draw meaningful information from these statistics. These reasons alone make the SEC and investors very weary about the implementation of it. An example of a company that uses non– GAAP earnings is Macy's.
