10. How can I use Padlet with my class?
Whole class Padlet
• New class - introductions
• Class comments
• Favourite quotes
• Favourite characters
• Opinion Forum
• Topic Summary
• Questions Board
• Post lesson extension materials
• Sharing board – new vocabulary
Small group Padlet
• Project work
• Collaboration
• Brainstorming
• Students present their ideas from
padlet
11. A few more ideas for using Padlet
• Towards the end of the lesson ask students to post 1 thing they have learnt in the
lesson on Padlet
• Summary writing: When the class reads a paragraph and each student has to
write a summary individually, students can post their summaries on Padlet to be
discussed in groups or as a class, with input from the teacher regarding style,
grammar, content, etc.
• Summary writing - listening: Students listen to a video clip and then write a
summary in pairs and put it on Padlet. Teachers and students can then look at
each other’s summaries and make suggestions etc.
• Vocabulary Competition: Students in pairs post a word and other pairs have to
add the definition, synonym etc.
